Kirall's Kiss

Rate this book
Please be aware this book was previously released in Bound by Heat. Kirall was desperate. He was a Black Prime Dragoon, the strongest and fiercest of his kind. He was returning home after defeating the Varana when a small planet's moon triggered his Joining Heat. It shouldn't have been possible. He was right. Autumn was desperate. She was human, female and struggling to survive. At twenty-two she was barely making ends meet. It's why she agreed to impersonate her roommate as a waitress for the weekend at a private party. She believed the money would change her life. She was right. Two unlikely people are brought together because of desperation. If they can find a way past the deceptions that brought them together, they will change not only each other, but possibly the Universe as well.

Just ... meh...

Note to self: Put into profile that I HATE:
- TSTL heroines
- NA/YA
- Menage (it's not an instance here)
- BDSM (it's not an instance here)
- M/M

But the first two are a very real presence here!

I wanted to slap Autumn. Are you for real, girl??? You accept your whore-friend word that you'll be paid 8.000 USD for two nights just to bring drinks??? Where are you living?? On Mars?

There’s nothing I love more than a little bit of over the top sci fi, and M.K. Eidem is one of the best at delivering such works. So, when I found myself hankering for some sexy alien loving I picked up Kirall’s Kiss. Kirall’s Kiss is a sexy little sci-fi about a big alien-dragon-shifter thingy and a big case of mistaken identity, all culminating in a bit of fun and lots of sexy times.

This book didn’t quite fulfill my craving though, and it wasn’t because it wasn’t cheesy, because it was, and it wasn’t because it wasn’t weird enough…dragon tails, ’nuff said. I just found that it didn’t quite capture my imagination or my attention so I was racing to finish, this admittedly short story as I was getting bored.

If you are after something sexy and weird this might fit the bill, unfortunately, neither the sexy nor the weird was doing it for me. But although this wasn’t my favourite of Eidem’s, but I will be waiting for her next book eagerly

The story starts off with a rape. Then the woman who was raped decided to stay and have "great" sex with the man who took her roughly. She did not blame him since he thought she was someone else, even though she said no and tried to fight him off. The next 75% (if not more) of the book is about them having sex and her giving her all to the man who raped her. This all occurred over one weekend.

Do not know what the author is thinking to write something that perpetuates that women are ok with being taken as long as the man says "you like it," "i will make you enjoy" or some other drivel of that caliber.

I do not like this book.

I find myself frustrated with this book.
description
MC is deceived by her friend/roommate to work during a weekend at a party as a waitress. From the very first chapter, you already know the job does involve waitressing and that this roommate is taking advantage of MC. The blurb is also very explicit as well as the first chapter of this book.
When the two MC's meet its just a rollercoaster of WTF!
description

The dialogues were awful! There was no character development. And the story itself doesn't leave anything meaningful.
MC has an immediate idea after the first exchanges with the hero that she's there as a pleasure toy. It isn't clear if the character is into this sort of service or not. Because at first I felt like he forced her, but then reading again the first dialogues she knows what the deal is. Might of had an internal debate, but she knew and she agreed mostly because she was attracted. Or even her need for the money because she's just trying to survive in a harsh reality.
Its just mind boggling how innocent she seems when supposedly she's been through hell. I expected a little more personality. She didn't have to be strong, but she felt shallow.
The hero is an idiot and a douche... I hate him, like a lot!
Going back to the WTF factor... It literally is an INSTA DOSE OF EVERYTHING. Insta-sex, insta-love, insta-mate, insta -etc.
description
Everything happens in two days of sex! And excuse me for not buying the whole thing!
I would like to add that this is a Sci-Fi alien dragon guy who has no brains but has 3 personalities. Wich I thought was the one thing that made this book interesting.
Erotica badly done. The sex although detailed just made me uncomfortable I've read my share of weird stuff. My mind is open but this was just an overload of things that were not acceptable.
The readers will feel engaged with the writing, but the story&plot will just throw you off. Nothing is believable.
Erotica lame filler and not even a turn on. 1.5. 1 for the beautiful cover 0.5 for the alien race. Just not my cup of tea!

I read this a while ago in an anthology and my only compaint at the time was it was too short for the amount of world building needed. So fortunately now there is a sequel!
_________________________________________________________
Autumn is tricked by her roommate into taking a one night job as a waitress at some kind of party for foreigners. She doesn't know how foreign they are or the 'perks' they will be expecting!

Kirall, a 'Dragoon' (aka alien dragon shifter) is going into heat 50 years too early and needs a woman now. Fortunately that's what the party is for and his friend and co-worker is setting him up with the perfect woman... who is sending her roommate instead. Basically a big snafu that works out for the best. There are secrets here that have been kept for centuries and deadly aliens that the earth needs defending from. I enjoyed this, but it really needed to be longer. I don't normally say that, because I love short reads, but there's just SOOOO much info packed into only about 100 pages. Still, great characters and interesting world building!

I'm pretty sure giving women drugs to make them more agreeable to have sex is considered rape. This book is ridiculous and problematic.

I love M.K. Eidem I started with her first book Grim when it was first published and I have loved all the books in that series. That being said her last two books were not great. Usually an author gets better the more they wright but the last books seem more like they were written by a different person. Kirall's Kiss lacked the depth of character and emotion I loved so much in her previous books. This book was shallow and disjointed with unlikeable characters. I hope Ms Eidem gets back to her previous style soon, and gives us more torian books.

3.5 disappointed stars
Not my favorite Eidem book. It was heavy with world-building and quite short, so I found the relationship between Kirall and Autumn to be quite sudden. I also didn't enjoy the whole
I will continue to the next book to see what happens on the home world.

How can so many people call themselves “writers” when the simplest rules of spelling and punctuation are obviously a mystery to them—and they don’t hire editors to fix their mistakes?

Just for the record, “alright” was NEVER a word. What you mean to say is “all right.”

And yeah, the book was okay but I kept being yanked from it by the above jumping out at me every couple pages. 😕

Kirall and Autumn are to unlikely individuals that met because both we're in need of something. He needed to release and she needed money. Through out the book it was completely obvious that they were mates and Autumn was special.

This may sound a bit weird but if M.K. Eidem did not write this book I would be giving this a three versus the four and a half stars that I'm going to be giving it. Because you should write a book based on substance and writing style however this author is very very good when it comes to storytelling. Also I do understand that this is the first book in a new series. There have been few first books in a series that would be considered 5 stars.

Getting back to this book. Throughout the book I knew that Autumn was going to be . Only same that I did not see coming was the entire playing between how Kirall and his men received release. The method is RAPE!!!! I was completely and utterly turned off by that aspect and it seemed that it was the norm.

I am looking forward to the rest of the series however I do know that the next book of might not come out for 3 years or two. I really really really hope that she continues to write her Tornians series. Now that is a series that I'm obsessed with!

Predictable and poorly paced

This was disappointing. Not the quality that I usually expect from this author. The book focused more on the sex scenes than the story. It didn't start to get good until the end but left you hanging. It almost seems like the author rushed getting the novel published without fleshing it out. This one needs work. I will continue to read this author because usually her work is funny and clever. Everyone strikes out sometimes.

Short (116 pages - would have been 5 stars if the book was flushed out longer with some more follow up on a few threads), and there were a few "don't over analyze this" moments that you just need to roll with to enjoy the story. But it's just as sexy, alpha, adorable, and loving as all of M. K. Eidem's books, and it has the requisite Happily Ever After too. I'll definitely read any sequels.

WHILE IT WAS SHORT AND COMPACT FOR A DRAGON ROMANCE NOVEL, I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. ALPHA DRAGON, MEET ALPHA MISTRESS.

THIS REVIEW IS WRITTEN FOR KIRALL'S KISS AND AUTUMN'S KISS.

THIS STORY STARTED OFF AS ANY TYPICAL SCI-FI PARANORMAL ROMANCE, AND THEN BAM GOOD STUFF!

KIRALL experiences his Joining Heat much earlier than expected to his bewilderment as he and his men close in on planet Earth. As unexplainable the situation is, he expected to have a human female Kristy to 'service' him but instead got our sweet little virgin - Autumn. The unexpected discovery and the bewitching soft female enchants him to talk and share about his people and home world, their long hours and also sex leads to intimacy that finally makes him realize that Autumn is his long awaited mate. Book 1 ends with them mating for good, while Book 2 starts with their new life on Mondu. Kirall's not hard to like, he's arrogantly alpha male, protective and eager to please his mate and sexy. He's also patient with his mate, teaching her the ropes of her new identity and also helping her to adjust to her new life. His family while judgemental at first were merely protective of him and soon welcomed her into the family. Too bad the ex-lover drama was so mild, I wished there was more angst.

AUTUMN is a sweet, innocent female who suffered a traumatic attack at 10 years old, losing her family to 'lizards' that still haunt her dreams. Of course, the humans believed her to be insane for cooking up a story like that and kept her on medications and such. When she was freed at 18, she was lucky to meet a woman who helped her set her life on track. Autumn's barely making ends meet and when her room mate pleads for her to take a 'job' she has to bail out on, Autumn fills in Kristy's shoes and meets with Kirall. Unfortunately, she never knew that it was actually a SEX job. I don't even know if prostitution is the right label for it. Anyway, she's going to get a wild ride experience that doesn't include just sex but also discovering that humans aren't the only evolved species roaming the universe.

OVERALL it wasn't very in-depth but with just enough information to satisfy your curiousity and to keep you reading forth, since the author will reveal more about this ficitonal world of Dragons as the characters progress deeper into their mating. I just wished we could have read Autumn's 100 year heat session. That would have been HAWT!

Disgusting.
That was rape. No matter the supernatural context nor missunderstandings.. The worst is how inadequate the reaction of the victim afterwards was written. It s like the author makes a mockery of rape and rape victims. The author creates a young virginal character who finds excuses for her rapist while he s still in her, because he thought she was another person, so it made it right ? Consent was not given at any time. Unless '' wearing revealing clothes and accepting to waitress for rich guys, and being drugged'' is consent. The author made an MC who s been raped go from that to wanting sex, and the other MC more excited by the blood and pain he realises he had caused. No remorse once he realises the situation, just blaming the victim for being there and continuing on. Of course, he would. After all, his victim won t even remember it. And those are supposedly a race of saviors of the galaxy. Disgusting. And the testing excuse ? As if '' experienced'' females were okey to rape.
I' m pissed at the author. Royally. Her liitle happy rape victim finally reacts, but for what ? Bc she thinks her rapist '' by mistake'', as if it should change anything, is going to get her replaced by another' 'female' '. I usually hate insta lust books, but i would have preferred that senario to this rape scene that' s followed by insta lust. I cannt believe this is the same author i liked other books from.

I can't get over the fact that this started with rape. The rest of it was only just sex, and before the weekend is over, they're in love? He's an abusive SOB, she's scared of his beast and doesn't fight him off that hard because of it when he forcibly takes her virginity (which is talked about in a very cringy way, by the by), and not even two seconds later, she "knows" the Beast won't harm her? She is convinced he's just using her as a sex toy, but less than a day after they're in love? After he rapes her, I would have expected her to be enraged, or maybe broken and depressed, not fucking horny and in love!

Kiss Series #1
I like this book but my like of it has much more to do with the ending than it does with the beginning. I honestly wasn't sure I was going to get past the first couple of chapters which led the initial meeting of the two main characters down a very dark path, that could be read as a rape scene. If this is a trigger of yours then I suggest you not read this book as that is very much how it starts even if that is very far from how it ends.

This was too short in my opinion the entire book basically took place in a bedroom with some memory flashbacks. The plot was pretty lax, I could guess what was going to happen before it did, nothing surprised me and the section I'm guessing was supposed to have us all biting our nails... Well that didn't happen. I felt this book was rushed and more substance would have been nice amidst all the sex.

Lower stars purely because of dubious consent, basically it was very close to rape. I get her own stupidity, gullibility and nativity got her into a do or die situation, but it’s still not consensual unless the lady actually consents.
Once you get past that it was an interesting read, though I’m baffled that this is the same author that gave us Cassandra, because Autumn is not even close to as strong and as independent an h as I’m used to from M. K. Eidem.

so finally got to this on my tbr, nope just nope. Did not like this at all. Dub con, non con, interolable fmc who was tstl and the mmc was just gross, like really gross. Thankfully it was a short story and i am so glad that I had only purchased the one and not the whole series just because i liked the author the first time when I read the Tornians. Sometimes I do that, thinking the author has other good books based on one that i read. Not so, this was terrible, I re-iterate, Terrible!

This was more like a 2 star, but.. it entertained me and it was well written. It's a bit over the top, circumstances don't exactly happen in plausible ways, and there's a ton of sex. That being said, the h was strong without being b**chy or cold. The H danced the jerk line once or twice but never crossed over it and there's really no angst, just lots of sex and fluff.

Kirall's Kiss

I love the way M.K. Eidem draws you into her stories, a truly gifted writer.
Autumn has had a traumatic and tragic life.
The loss of her family left her alone, no close friends or family.
Kiralls is a Black Prime ,a Dragoon, the strongest and more powerful of his kind.
Wait to he meets Autumn. Get this book and you'll be hooked

I love mk Eidem books. I noticed that this particular story had many similarities to the kalizians but was still diverse enough to not feel like it was repetitive. Autumn and Kirall seem like they are building a relationship slowly even though he thought she was a means to an end. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Very Inventive Dragon Series

I really enjoyed this book. I felt the beginning was a little silly cause it kinda made Autumn look dumb or overly naive. Later after she meets Kirall and you hear her story it starts to make sense. I really liked the backstory on the Dragoon species and their multiple forms. Looking forward to book 2.

Este libro me recuerda a uno que leí netamente de hombres lobos, como manejan el tema de su animal interior, de como su animal en este caso el dragón sale porque reconoce a su compañera y que solo sean para 1 sola persona eso me encanta.

It's very hot and short book but the plot is easy and pleasant.
