First two in the series stayed credible, but...too many jumps and advancements this last book to make it satisfactory. Everyone just happens to advance in their skills by leaps and bounds at the EXACT moment it’s needed in a tense situation? If this was all it took to suddenly progress, why did it not happen in previous situations/books? Answer: because it was needed to tie everything up & win the day in THIS book. Bad progression pacing.
And I could tell early on that Adam and Isaac wouldn’t be making the cut for the final action sequence, because everything was forcibly coupled between Paul/Becca and Elijah/Hannah. Isaac and Adam were cut out of the action early and often. Ham-fisted attempt to gain teen female readership. Just not organic. Next time, stick to making one relationship believable, leave the others up in the air, and let SOMEBODY remain who hasn’t been partnered off.
