The Magi #3

The Temple

Rate this book
Elijah Hawk is in the midst of a quest. He must find the two remaining cubes that belong to the ancient sphere, a dangerous weapon created to destroy the common world. And he must do it before the Maliphists discover his plan. But things take a turn when Elijah suddenly discovers that there are Magi in Savenridge who aren’t who they appear to be. Magi who are powerful. Magi who are watching him closely. Magi who are traitors! Could it be possible that those he has trusted most are actually plotting against him?

Now, Elijah must keep his eyes open while he searches for the last cubes. One mistake could put the sphere in the hands of the Maliphists. Share too much, and his entire quest could be ruined. Share too little, and he won’t get the help he needs.

It’s a risky balancing act he is confident he can handle.

Until the murders begin.

Catchy read, very easy to get into the story, it leaves you expecting more.

The story itself was entertaining to read. I feel like the characters could have been expanded on more thoroughly with their individual back story. I am left expecting a conclusion.

This book was undoubtedly the best book of the series and and it being the last book, answered almost all the previous questions raised by the reader. The book was full of suspense, mystery , and adventure at every turn. It again like the previous 2 books of this series had a very mysterious end. It was a wonderful end to an excellent and hair raising series. I honestly enjoyed this series and hope that there will be more such books from the author.

One of the best series of read.

I've spent this whole week reading the series. I have managed to finish it in a matter of days. Hope there's more on the way!

First two in the series stayed credible, but...too many jumps and advancements this last book to make it satisfactory. Everyone just happens to advance in their skills by leaps and bounds at the EXACT moment it’s needed in a tense situation? If this was all it took to suddenly progress, why did it not happen in previous situations/books? Answer: because it was needed to tie everything up & win the day in THIS book. Bad progression pacing.
And I could tell early on that Adam and Isaac wouldn’t be making the cut for the final action sequence, because everything was forcibly coupled between Paul/Becca and Elijah/Hannah. Isaac and Adam were cut out of the action early and often. Ham-fisted attempt to gain teen female readership. Just not organic. Next time, stick to making one relationship believable, leave the others up in the air, and let SOMEBODY remain who hasn’t been partnered off.

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?????

I enjoyed this series and found it a solid 4 due to a great storyline but some tedious tropes. AND THEN THERE WAS THE LAST PAGE!

Seriously, WTF? You leave us with a mostly-unintelligible cliffhanger AND DON'T DO ANOTHER BOOK???? If the book had ended without the last chapter, it would have been a satisfying conclusion to a good series. But with a couple hundred words, the entire series was ruined for me.

Seriously bad form.

Won't ever read another book by this author and will advise others to steer clear.

Yeah, I'm just a little bit upset.

Good but not as great as it could be.

I liked the world but felt that there was a rush to the story that felt like it should have taken longer to come to the end. The MC is all over the place it makes it hard to relate to him. The magic system is good but could use a revamp. I found myself looking at each scene and thought there was a better way to handle that. Overall good book series but I would find it hard to reread this series.

The Temple (The Magi Series Book 3)

Great suspense and intriguing. Love the characters. Love the story line. Great series. Looking forward the follow up. Had me crying at the end. Wish that one of the parents survived.

Entertaining but leaves you a bit unsatisfied.

Fun to read but typos and plot errors were distracting throughout the series. Many questions unanswered including a new one dropped right at the end of the series.

The Magi!!

Such a fun and lovable ride. I really appreciated the story- it was super engaging and Elijah, Becca, Hannah, Issac, Paul, Uncle Stan and Adam ... Not to mention Olivia Rose all good characters. A few times the plot became slow and I would've liked a bit more about Adam but overall great series.

Pretty Good

I liked this book. It was interesting, but the ending needs work, because there is defiantly a lot more that could go on.
