A little bit more interesting than other costumes history books because they talked about everyday clothing rather than fashionable clothing. Like for e.g there are explanations about the fashion industry of that time and the origin of certain fabrics and color. You'd know Victorian fashion aren't as innocent as it looks. The only downside is there is not enough photos and pictures.

Old ads to look at, a good chapter on the difficulties of washing before washing machines.
