Amy is an award-winning, USA Today best-selling Aussie author who has written eighty-five contemporary romances in both the traditional and digital markets.
Her books bring all the feels from sass, quirk and laughter to emotional grit and panty-melting heat.
She loves good books and great booze although she'll take mediocre booze if there's nothing else. For many, many years she was a registered nurse which means she knows things. Anatomical things. And she’s not afraid to use them!
She recently took a sea change and lives by the ocean with her husband of 33 years.
THE MILLIONAIRE'S FOREVER by Sonya Weiss: Another fantastic story by Sonya Weiss. THE MILLIONAIRE'S FOREVER is a fake boyfriend story really tugs at your heartstrings. Olivia Carter was desperate to save the company that was her mother's dream and so she told a white lie, but now that lie might be coming back to haunt her. She faces exposure until Mason Carter, of all people, shows up offering to help. Mason has his own reasons for helping Olivia. He wants something from her and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it even if that means pretending to be her boyfriend to save her company. He'll save Olivia and then she will give him what he needs to exact his revenge on her father. As long as he can keep his heart out of it that is, because he's had it bad for sweet Olivia since high school.
Olivia can't believe that boy she had a crush on in high school is even sexier and more irresistible than he was then. He offered her the devil of a deal cuz she has no choice to accept it. She just prays she can resist the most delicious man she's ever seen. Olivia and Mason's chemistry is off the charts even though Olivia does her best to fight it. She is torn between her lust and growing love for Mason and the need to protect her father, the man Mason is determined to bring down for the injustice done to him when he was a teenager. Fantastic story, a little danger, and an old mystery to get to the bottom of, and some steamy scenes all balance out this must-read enemies to lovers love story. 4 stars
REVENGE BEST SERVED HOT by Jackie Braun: Excellent story that really captivated me in emotionally. Jackie Braun did a fabulous job of drawing me in to the plight of both Brody and Kate. I was completely invested in their love and their healing. REVENGE BEST SERVED HOT was my first book by Ms. Braun. It won't be my last. 4.5 stars
So I reviewed each book separately and this (hopefully) brings all the reviews together.
Overall not a bad anthology, two four star reviews and one three and a half stars; two DNFs, two two stars and the rest three stars. There is definitely something for everyone, secret babies, Tuscany, Australia, Greek tycoons, island getaways etc. I bought this anthology for 99 pence which is extraordinary value considering each book individually is priced in the £2 + range. I wanted the Amy Andrews book and it didn't disappoint.

Twelve relatively quick-reads by various authors - this is a good read for waiting rooms or a beach read. Each alpha male represents a sign of the zodiac, and the individual stories are fairly entertaining.
IMPULSE CONTROL by Amanda Usen ////. Aries Wild man survivalist Russ Donovan and homemaker Susannah Stone are forced to work together by their producers, but these seeming opposites actually discover they have a great deal in common besides a heated attraction!
This is the first I’ve read by Amanda Usen, but I will definitely look for more. Russ and Susannah are sympathetic and engaging characters, and I enjoyed seeing them face their own histories and issues as well as prod and nudge each other to greater heights.
THE MILLIONAIRE DECEPTION by Wendy Byrne Taurus Rafe McCall and Frankie Ritacco
Some started out a little slow, but in the end, all were about the romance & the zodiac. Some made me cry, and others made me read right through to the end. Skipped sleeping on quite a lot. Damn fine bunch of books, will put in my MRA (must read again) pile. Excellent A+
I put off reading this collection for ages which was unfortunate because I really liked the stories. Some were better than others, but as a whole, this was a fun group of books to read.
Impulse Control by Amanda Usen Ooof. This one got me right in the feels. This story was full of cliches - opposites attract, she never liked sex until she met him, he’s a natural at everything, she is a successful Martha Stewart-esqe TV host who hides a ton of insecurity under her cool facade, a plot moppet. Instead of feeling formulaic, Impulse Control is so well done. I loved the hero and heroine. The plot moppet is Susannah’s toddler from her first marriage, and he is part of the story, not a plot convenience device. The hero and heroine have baggage, all of it well-earned, and although there are some missteps, they figure it all out.
The Millionaire's Deception by Wendy Byrne Another winner. Bad boy from the big city, small town girl who's wholesome and sweet. This story did a great job of delving beyond the cliches. I really liked Rafe and Francesca. The descriptions of the food were amazing too.
The Millionaire's Forever by Sonya Weiss Too much pain in this one for me. There is some legit bad shit that happened to both the hero and heroine. The hero’s thirst for revenge above all else almost costs him the heroine. The elements of the story were strong, I couldn’t bear to watch them hurt each other until they finally figured it out.
Ten Days in Tuscany by Annie Seaton This one annoyed me. Italy was featured as a character, which was great. But the main and supporting characters were so cliched, with no nuances, that it got tiresome to read about thos problem! And that problem! And everyone has a problem! I also didn't feel like the story resolved much - there is a sudden marriage proposal, yes, but there is no resolution between Gia and her family. The art patron and how her first show went is barely covered. O
The Millionaire Daddy Project by Roxanne Snopek Pretty good story of the gorgeous boss who doesn't know how to love and his assistant/does everything, who have loved each other for a long time, but didn't realize it. There is a plot moppet, and she was an integral part of the story - the pain of watching Dane learning to love his daughter and winning her trust was hard to read, it felt very real.
Revenge Best Served Hot by Jackie Braun Good rendition of the hero tortured by his parents death, determined to have his revenge by destroying the company of the man responsible, and the heroine - daughter of his enemy, natch - who shows him how good trust and love can be. She's also whip smart and confident, which made her tolerable. Overall, pretty good.
The Prince's Runaway Lover by Robin Covington (r Jun 1/16) Good. The hero and heroine are both strong people, able to stand by their principles and bend when necessary. The fictional country of Callanos is a thinly veiled version of Monaco, Princess Grace, etc. - all much better behaved and acting than the real ones. One thing I enjoyed was the real, candid language in the story - no purple prose - words like mindfuckery and explicit descriptions of sex made the book better. Otherwise I fear it would have ventured into old skool Harlequin Presents territory.
The Colonel's Daughter by Amy Andrews This one was a re-read for me, and not one of my favs of Ms. Andrews' books. I like the main characters, but the I-want-you-I-shouldn't got tiresome.
One Night with the Billionaire by Sarah Balance Good. I liked that the hero and heroine gave each other the benefit of the doubt most times, and in lieu of a misunderstanding, actually talked to each other. I also liked the creative solution the hero came up with to get his HEA.
The Greek Tycoon's Tarnished Bride by Rachel Lyndhurst I started off disliking the hero for being so rigid and cold. There was a lot of time spent in the hero and heroine's heads. Eventually I warmed up to both, and by the end, I was happy for their HEA.
Blurring the Lines by Marisa Cleveland A bit too much of the extreme reactions, assuming the worst. Cute main characters, somewhat two dimensional. I enjoyed the role the various rescue dogs played.
Her Sworn Enemy by Theresa Meyers The heroine - with her New Orleans sass, historical house, fallen on hard times, wise aunt who is also cool - was a cliche. She was also smart and funny. The hero was an Old Skool “I will never love a woman because it will tie me down/make me miserable like my mother”, etc. There was a bit of magical realism thrown in, but the author didn’t really commit to it. Story was ok, I was just tired on the angst in these Entangled Indulgence titles.
Conclusion: I don't recommend reading twelve Old Skool romances in a row, unless you're a really big fan of the Harlequin Presents style. It was too many similar stories with Big! Emotions! And! Angst! And miracle babies, not my favourite trope.
