NO PUEDO CREERLO. TANTAS COSAS QUE PASARON EN UN SOLO TEBEO. Empecemos por el principio. Dawn, siendo la llave, tiene tanto poder dentro de sí, y ella misma es tanto poder, que estando en una dimensión demoníaca, según la teoría de Giles, puede llegar a ser incluso una diosa. Los Scoobies deciden ir a la dimensión demoníaca para cerrar el portal inestable desde adentro. Estando ahí, se topan con un demonio enorme, al cual Dawn destruye con facilidad. Al final, deciden que Dawn es la única que debe quedarse en la dimensión, ya que todos los demás deben ir a la guerra contra la Dama y el Glotón de Almas. Dawn podrá cuidarse sola con todo su poder. Xander decide quedarse también a acompañarla, a pesar de las súplicas de la falsa Anya fantasma, que le dice que ella no puede atravesar el portal para acompañarlo. Xander le dice que es lo mejor, que así descubrirá quién es realmente y no seguirá creyendo que es Anya.

Una vez cerrado el portal por parte de Dawn, ella y Xander deciden explorar el lugar. Buffy está devastada, y es consolada por Willow y GIles. Andrew y Spike observan la escena. Andrew intenta aconsejar a Spike para que la consuele, pero Spike se resiste.

D'Hoffryn va con la Dama y el Glotón para acabar con ellos. El Glotón consumió muchas almas y tiene un enorme poder, pero no es rival para el demonio de la venganza, que lo destruye fácilmente, gracias al poder que le otorgó Buffy al desear que destruyera al Glotón. La Dama intenta persuadir a D'Hoffryn para que se una a ella para arrebatarle a Buffy el libro Vampyr, pero el demonio la destruye fácilmente, diciendo que no la necesita. La Anya fantasma llega con D'Hoffryn y este le aclara que, a partir de ahora, Anya falsa es una chica de carne y hueso que es parte de un plan para regresar a todos sus demonios de venganza.

I love where they've taken the story in season 10. Season 8 pushed the boundaries of reality too far and while Season 9 managed to rein things in a bit, Season 10 is where they really found their stride within the comic book medium.

I've always been a die hard Buffy fan and the fact that these characters had a life after the show brings me immense joy!

Season 10 has given us character growth, the return of demons and monsters to fight, and the adjustment of our heroes to a world without secret identities.

Issue #25 left me feeling a few things.

1. I love that Dawn is finally getting some real autonomy and is being given the chance to step up and be a hero. Her place as the ignored/forgotten/kid sister is finally evolving into a genuine member of the team.

2. Xander letting go of fake Anya in order to stand by Dawn even though she doesn't love him anymore was one of my favorite parts of the issue. Xander has always been the guy to take the easy way out and his new-found sense of maturity and depth is so refreshing. He has always irked me as a character and now that he's finally learning from his mistakes I'm starting to warm up to him more.

3. I feel like Spike is backpedaling and it makes no sense. He has become one of the strongest and best developed characters within the Buffyverse and to have him suddenly be unable to step up and be there for Buffy is absolutely effing stupid!

My feels about the future of Spuffy right now?


Buffy is finally in a healthy relationship where both partners support each other, learn from each other, and grow together. Can we stop throwing wrenches into the middle!?

I liked that Dawn FINALLY did something so grown up and useful. Also Zander was mercifully adult for the first time in a long time. Also, the Anya plot was kind of figured out and I like that D'Hoffryn is turning out to basically be an evil genie.

Some fun plot developments here! Really looking forward to the final arc. Not so keen on Megan Levens' artwork, but she's still miles ahead of Will Conrad!
