All she wants for Christmas…

Everything schoolteacher Morgan Hill loves is in her hometown of Temptation, Virginia—her twins, her students and the charming community center where she's staging their holiday play. But now the building's new owner, Grayson Taylor, is putting sexy visions into Morgan's head, making the young widow long for a future even Santa couldn't deliver.

As the oldest of sextuplets, Gray grew up in the media spotlight. His family's fame once helped Temptation thrive, but drove his parents apart. Coming back is just a bittersweet necessity until he meets petite firecracker Morgan. Somehow she gets the handsome tech guru to forget about big business in favor of small-town delights…and steamy winter nights. It's a life he never knew he wanted, but can he put his past aside to turn a festive fling into the sweetest forever?

One Mistletoe Wish by A.C. Arthur is the first story in the The Taylors of Temptation series. It's got an interesting premise – the Taylors are a group of sextuplet siblings born in the small town of Temptation. Because of the media frenzy around their birth, they became part of a reality show for the first few years of their lives, until something happened to split up the family and the parents got divorced. The mother and children ended up leaving the small town together, and the father went on to become a rich and successful businessman, who invested in the town despite having moved away himself. Now, several years later, the father has passed away, and the fate of some important buildings in the town, including the local community center and the hospital lies in the balance. The eldest sibling, Grayson, has returned to Temptation to sell the buildings, and whether he wants to acknowledge it or not, indulge in a little nostalgia of the time before everything went awry. When he meets widowed single mom and teacher Morgan Wells, the potential impact of his plans becomes much more apparent. What to him were just buildings are the lifeblood of the community. As he and Morgan connect, it becomes more and more clear to him that it's not going to be easy to leave this town, and this woman, who are stealing a piece of his heart.

I liked the premise of the story and the characters. Morgan comes across as a lovely woman, a good mother to her twins, and a respected teacher and member of the community. She still grieves the loss of her husband in the war in Afghanistan, and while she's not averse to moving on, she hasn't met a man who could hold her interest until Grayson comes to town. Her children are cute and well fleshed out characters who behave as expected for their age. Grayson is a competent and smart businessman. While he might have had plans to deal quickly with his inheritance, the truth is he is curious about the town and what's changed since he left so long ago as a child. He's an attractive and fit man, and makes his interest in Morgan known quickly, resulting in some sexy love scenes between them. Of note though, there is no mention of birth control – no condom use, and nothing about Morgan being on birth control which I found surprising. The story definitely has a small town feel, with the townsfolk all eager to get a look at one of the sextuplets that was a part of the financial well being of the town. It's also got some sweet Christmas touches to it, as Grayson and Morgan spend the holidays together while he's making his decision about what to do with the buildings.

The second half of the story has some events that come out of the blue, and actions that are rather eyebrow raising and seem out of character for what has been established up to that point. And there are clearly some details that have been poorly researched when building the background of Grayson's character and can't go unmentioned. Grayson is described in the first chapter as a runner, and a guy who works out about 12 hours a week. It describes him as running '5K marathons' in under 15 min. Firstly, there is no such thing as a 5K marathon. You are either running a marathon (which is 42K) or a 5K race. Secondly to run one in under 15 min is amazing, since an Olympic race time is about 13 min, and hard to believe for a casual exerciser. On a subsequent page, he runs for an hour and figures he's gone well over 5 miles. Well, at a pace of 15 min for 5K (which is 3 miles), an hour of running would be 12 miles. There's definitely some fanciful number making here. And lastly, the story mentions that he has a 3 mile track on top of his condo. To give this some perspective, the largest indoor tracks are 300-400 meters. The Daytona race car track is about 2.5 miles around. So you'd need to have a condo bigger than the size of the Daytona race track. To me, these are sloppy details that I easily looked up on the internet in 5 minutes. It made me question what other details would be wrong in the story.

If you like small town Christmas stories, and are partial to single parent romances (and can gloss over the details mentioned above) then you'll enjoy this story. There are going to be more in the series with Grayson's siblings and there seems to be more to their parents split than on the surface, a story arc that likely will continue over the next few books.

This is Grayson's and Morgan's story. I read the last book, in the series, first so it was fun learning how these two met and hooked up. Lots of small town drama as well as myriad secrets.

"One MistletoeWish" by A.C. Arthur is book one in "The Taylor's of Temptation" series. This book was a great holiday read. Morgan is a widowed mother of twins and is back in the town she loves to raise them. Grayson (Gray) came into town to settle the buildings that his father owned and get back to his life in Miami. He didn't plan on getting close to Morgan and her kids and finding that he actually enjoyed the town of Temptation. A.C. Arthur did a wonderful job with the characters in this book. My favorite part is the part when Jack and Lily let Gray know that they made a wish on the Mistletoe.

I liked the characters, but often wanted to tell the hero to "grow up". I'm pretty frustrated at the idea of a parent who, after getting divorced because of infidelity, never moves on and never even dates for the next twenty some odd years. Gee that's a healthy role model for your kids. Kinda like moving your kids three states away two days after their father leaves because you can't stand the gossip. Needless to say the hero is scarred by this, but still...
I found the writing style jarring. Mostly, it was well written but occasionally threw in some slang to make is sound more "black"
Also, a self made millionaire businessman who can't keep his personal assistant in line (when she shows up out of the blue and tries to sleep with him, won't bring him the contracts he needs to sign, and won't leave town to go back to the office) is just not a believable concept for me.

Good book. Gray is the oldest of the six siblings, the famous Taylor Sextuplets. As the oldest, he took his responsibilities seriously and figured he should be the one to handle settling his father's estate. He's not looking forward to being in Temptation again after all these years and plans to get in and get out as quickly as he can. He didn't count on meeting the fascinating Morgan Hill.

Morgan is a widow with five-year-old twins. After her husband's death, it was her ties to the community that kept her going. She's a good mother and a well-loved teacher. She still grieves for her husband and hasn't met anyone who has made her want to move on. That is until Grayson arrives in town.

I liked both Gray and Morgan. Gray is smart, charming, and good-looking. And like his siblings, he has a love-hate relationship with his past. Because of the multiple-birth, his family became the stars of a reality tv show from the time they were born until they were seven years old. It was great for the town and the family at first, but it eventually drove his parents apart. Though he doesn't want to admit it, he does still have some good memories of that time. Morgan is generally a sweet woman, but she has a feisty side that shows up on several occasions. She loves her town and its people and will fight for them if she thinks they are threatened.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Morgan and Gray. There are sparks between them from the start, though not all of them are from attraction. I liked their first meeting when Gray seems to expect her to jump to his bidding and show him around the community center and is surprised when she makes him wait. In the meantime, her kids, Lily and Jack, take to him right away. I was impressed that Gray related so well to them right away. As soon as Morgan found out who Gray was and why he was there, she was determined to open his eyes to the importance of the community center and hospital to the town. His interest in Morgan herself gives him a little extra motivation to hear her out, and Gray soon gets to see them through her eyes. Some of the things he learned made him take a closer look at his father's life and activities and gave Gray a new appreciation for him.

At the same time, Gray and Morgan spent a lot of time together, and the attraction between them grew stronger. Morgan is wary of the appeal because it makes her feel a bit disloyal to her late husband. She also knows that nothing can come of it because Gray's life and business are in Miami. Gray himself is flummoxed by how quickly he feels at home in Temptation, and his growing feelings for Morgan. There are some charming scenes with Gray, Morgan, and the kids, as well as some very steamy ones between Morgan and Gray. There are a few bumps in their road to happiness. Gray has an admin assistant, Kym, who wants to be more and is aggressive in her pursuit of him. I thought he was too easy on her from her first appearance, which led to more significant troubles at the end. Morgan has her own problems with her childhood friend, Harry. I loved seeing the changes in Gray as he fell deeper under Morgan's spell. I ached for him when Morgan's fears hold her back. I loved his big moment at the end as his patience brought him his heart's desire.

I did have a few minor quibbles with the story. The author described Gray as a runner who's run in the 5K marathon in 15 minutes. No, just no. A 5K is a race, and a marathon is 42K. There's a big difference. The average time for an experienced runner to run a 5K is about 26 minutes for a man. Fifteen minutes would be an Olympic class runner. The description of his running routine at home was also unbelievable. There was also a regular lack of protection used during their love scenes, with predictable results. Those issues aside, I still enjoyed the book. I've already read Garrek's book, One Unforgettable Kiss, so it's on to Gage's story.

4 stars. This was a great way to kick off the new year. I really enjoyed this. It's a really cute and sweet read. The writing was good, it's paced well, and I really liked both main characters. Morgan has a her guard up and with good reason, I totally got where her character was coming from even though I didn't always agree with how she handled things. She was still a great character and I adored her children. They were so stinkin' adorable and the way that they took to Gray was precious. Gray was awesome. Talk about a swoon worthy hero. He's suave and charming and patient with Morgan when she still feels unsure about pursuing a relationship with him. Their chemistry was hot and I loved the development of their relationship. I had a lot of fun reading it and I definitely plan on continuing on with the series.

Christmas in Temptation

The first book in the Taylor's of Temptation series, One Mistletoe Wish, is fire. The first of the Taylor siblings, Greyson return to take care of his late father's business holdings in the small town the family grew up in. I was suppose to be a quick business transaction that would finally sever all ties to a place he has hated it a long time. What he hadn't counted on was memories and Morgan.

This is a great small town story with a bit of action, mystery, and super sexy characters that make you want the town to be a real place to visit. The secondary characters are a good and help lighten up the intensity in some of the scenes.

I look forward to the rest of this series.

I had a hard time/slow start getting into the story at the beginning, but since I like this author, I decided to keep reading it because I really wanted to find out what actually happened to the Taylor's of Temptation. The main characters, Gray and Morgan, was attracted to one another from the start, but needed a push in the right direction...just like the twins, Lily and Jason did provided for them! The more I read of the story, the more interesting it became, now I'm looking forward to finding out about the rest of Gray's siblings!

Great series starter.

Gray is the eldest of the Taylor septuplets and the first to visit Temptation in over 24 years. After the death of his father he comes to town to settle the last property of the estate. What he doesn’t realizes is that instead of settling everything it just opens up more questions. This is a great series starter! It shows promise for at least 6 good reads.

I enjoy how two people who both did not think they could be in love because of the past. One because of his mother and father and the other because of her husband who where all deceased. Funny how the heart works. I totally enjoyed this book and can't wait to see how the rest of the Taylor sister and brother are.

This book was so good! I laughed, smiled, and nearly cried. I loved Gray and Morgan together. The jealousy of others is real and it nearly tore a perfect relationship apart. I’m happy that didn’t happened. And I’m happy they gotten their happily ever after! Great book as always!

CONCEPT
Man returns home to settle his father’s affairs and meets a schoolteacher and has him wanting to experience small-town living during the Christmas holidays.
STORY
Grayson Taylor grew up in the media spotlight while in Temptation, Virginia, but the fame and fortune drove his parents a part and his mother fled the small town with he and his siblings. Now he has returned to Temptation to sell his father’s properties only to encounter schoolteacher, Morgan Hill and her twins. Meeting Morgan, has Gray contemplating trading in city life for the small town life. During the Christmas holidays a wish under the mistletoe will lead to everlasting love.
CHARACTERS
Mrs. Arthur did a good job crafting these characters. Gray is the oldest of sextuplets and thus is the leader of the family. As the leader is takes his responsibility seriously and figured he would be the one to settle his father’s affairs and not have to endure a long stay in his hometown. He is a virile young man and when he lays eyes on Morgan, he become enthralled with the schoolteacher. Another plus for him is that Morgan twins took a shine to Gray and loved being in his company. Morgan loves teaching as well as her hometown and feels Gray should pull the blinders off and see what potential the small town has and he shouldn’t rush the sale of the properties without getting to experience the town’s people and activities. As these two spend more time with each other, they can’t stop the passion that is brewing between them. A little snowstorm, car trouble and some mistletoe make for a hot interlude. Gray forgets about business and pursues Morgan with a vengeance. He believes in going after what he wants.
DIALOGUE
The dialogue was appropriate for the Christmas theme.
STRUCTURE
The structure of the story flowed and will keep readers enthralled with Gray and Morgan’s journey.
OVERALL
One Mistletoe Wish is the first book in A.C. Arthur’s Taylors of Temptation series and it was a great read. Readers will love the Christmas theme and how the small town will be divided in rooting for the couples love while others will stop at nothing to keep them a part. Gray found more than what he expected when he returned to Temptation. One Mistletoe Wish will have readers wanting their own Christmas love story.

I received a ARC of "One Mistletoe Wish" from A.C. Arthur even if I had not received a ARC, I would have purchased it anyway because I love her work so much.

I don't want to give to much of the story away so I am going to be as brief as possible.

As always A.C. has written a great book about family, love, loss and mystery. If you have not read any of her work it is a must you will never be disappointed.

Grayson is one oldest of the famous Taylor sextuplets and his siblings Garrick, Gemma, Genevieve, Gage and Gia made history in the small town of Temptation Virginia. Grayson's parents were paid money so that the cameras could and would watch their every move. They were always the talk of the small town of Temptation.

After the death of Grayson's father he returns to Temptation to settle his father's estate. Nothing has changed much in the town, everybody still knows everybody business, still there are nosy people wondering why he is back. Grayson meets school teacher Morgan Hill and her playful, energetic 5 year old twins Lily and Jack and falls in love with the ready made family. Morgan's family mainly consist of her sister Wendy and her grandmother Ida Mae and her twins Lily and Jack. Grayson and Morgan find each other easy to talk to and find themselves opening up to each other.

Grayson and his siblings are not that close and they all live in other areas of the United States.
He is closest to his eldest sister Gemma.

Grayson's administrative Kym Hutchins arrives in the town of Temptation allegedly to deliver paperwork for him to sign. Kym is interested in Grayson as in husband material but Grayson only sees her as his administrative assistant.

Morgan is best friends with Harry is also from Temptation and has been in love with her since forever.

There are 5 more Taylor's to write about wonder who will A.C. write about next. This is definitely a a must read, you will not be disappointed.

Sensual yet sweet, entertaining yet thought provoking, filled with Christmas jubilee yet nerves about the future of the town, luscious love affair yet mourning for the past possibilities. This story has many layers of depth and thoughts as Grayson Taylor try to connect with his past while rather just leave it all behind.
The chemistry between Grey and Morgan is sizzling hot, her ever so lovely twins are too adorable filled with honesty and eagerness that stole my heart as well as Grey's.
Morgan has guilty feelings towards moving on from mourning for her husband. Everything hanging in the air between her and Grey seems to underline those doubts.
Will they even have a chance for a future together, will Grey stay, does she even want to have a future with him, and how could they make it work, if he was willing - the questions are endless, the recent events even raising them higher.
The story is well built, engaging, and intriguing. The history of the Taylor family, that has always been painful and filled with mix emotions in Gre's mind, starts to open up in a new way to him. In that new light his life, his goals, his desires, and future plans start to drastically change, making him a new man who is capable of love, commitment, and family.
But will Morgan be able to catch up with his change of feelings, emotions, and plans? Is she ready to move on and trust her feelings? Does she want to change the life as she now has it?
With humor and laughter of the children, with joy and cheer of the community at Christmas time, with sensual encounters and exciting new feelings between Grey and Morgan, with drama and trouble around the town, the story entices and entangle the reader's mind. An exciting start to a new promising series

Small-town boy makes it in the big city and comes home with a decision to make: should he tear down some old buildings that are vital to the community or find a way to keep them running and give back to the town that helped make him rich and famous? What do you think is going to happen?

There is no surprise ending here. But there are some unexpected developments. In this story of a single, working mother and a roué from out of town, we get a small cast of characters who view the amorous proceedings with a great deal of attention.

I couldn’t help but be disappointed in the male and female romantic leads again, however. She states that she’s not going to sleep with him in order to get him to keep the buildings standing and useful for the town. But he makes inappropriate moves on her anyway and she responds to them! She also has sex with him with her children nearby, when either or both of the tots could wander into the room while they’re screwing. Do I even need to mention the unprotected sex?

It makes for rather seamy sexual horseplay that’s rendered even nastier by the appearance of not just one but two jealous rivals. As for the small-town charm, that has to contend with nosy gossips and intrusive reporters. This holiday treat just isn’t that tasty. Skip it for another viewing of It’s a Wonderful Life.

Morgan and Gray opposite truly attracting

I must say A.C. Arthur gave us a good pair to love and a good pair to hate. Gray being a man after my own heart. He is strategic in his thinking. He is loving with children. He is passionate with his love. He is complex. Not your ordinary guy. Morgan is independent without being stand offish. She is fiercely loyal and loves family and community. She is complex without being frustrating. Together her and Gray grow over Temptation. As self discovery takes place for them both. You appreciate the interaction between Gray and Morgan's children, Lily and Jack. It is that component that makes you root for Gray even more.

Onto the pair we love to hate. Kym and Harry. Two entitled individuals that through their egos caused dire consequences for the town of Temptation. I want spoil it for you, but trust these two people definitely will get on your nerves but were essential to the success of the storyline.

Morgan Hill is a teacher, widow, and mother of five-ear-old twins. She isn't looking for love. Especially not with a big city business man who is only in town to sell off the buildings he owns, many of which are used heavily by the community, a community that Morgan loves.
Grayson Taylor doesn't love Temptation. It was a town that thrived off of the reality show that was he and his five siblings, sextuplets. Unfortunately, their reality show tore apart his parent's marriage. Now, as the oldest, he's been elected to take care of his father's estate. But he's intrigued by the woman that he sees. And he seriously falls in love with her children.
I really liked the world building and the story but the writing was a bit... rough. and really dragged in places. I hope Arthur gets a better editor because I'm really looking forward to reading more of her stories.

This small town romance contains everything one would expect. You have the prodigal son returning back home after umpteen years, nosy townspeople and a love story to make you swoon. Arthur has created a new family that you'll fall in love with. This story is a great introduction to the Taylors and I can't see series getting anything but greater with each subsequent story! I enjoyed this story so much I couldn't put the book down! I totally recommend if you have never read a book by AC Arthur that now is the best time to start with this here holiday love story! You won't be disappointed! I'm already chomping at the bit for the next story!
