Laesa Fen left her home planet, Tartarus, in search of a new life. A recently freed harem slave, she is finally traveling the galaxy and visiting the places she could only dream of while she was the property of a Tarin warlord. On her own for the first time, she is finally free to pursue her art and to discover who she is and what she wants out of life.

Helios brothers Rhen and Sabar Torven are merchants with a knack for finding new markets. The twins came to Alliance Station X21 with hopes of expanding their business, but once they meet Laesa, their plans change. Deals come and go, but a female like Laesa comes along once in a lifetime, and they’re not leaving the station without her at their side.

Can Rhen and Sabar help Laesa find the closure she needs to move on with her life, or will she let the scars of her past deny her the happiness they know she deserves?

Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.

Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

Very sweet short story.
I liked Laesa but she was reserved and spoke so formally.
Rhen and Sabar were so patient with Laesa and courted her right from the start.

This was another fab installment in the 3010 series! Like the others, there's a deep emotional connection between the characters that leads to a smoking HEA, but this story was one without drama. It was a sweet discovery of love between Laesa and her twin Helios mates, Sabar and Rhen. Laesa, coming from the male dominated world of Tartarus, is finding her freedom and path in life after being a slave on her home planet. Sabar and Rhen are 2 businessmen that are attracted to her art, and once the see and scent her, know she's their one. Although this story takes place in space, a woman's choice to find a successful life and love in a way that suits her is always a good read. I really enjoyed it.

At the risk of repeating myself...

Another great story from Susan created in the world of 3013. With each new story these 3 authors weave a creative and imaginative world that makes up the 3013 series. Now onto the next novella, no sleeping for me tonight. Bravo

Buy the book, then the series, because it's worth it!
This is my first book by Susan Hayes. I took one star off because of the editing which could use another pass. The heroine goes through violence in her past - no details, you just KNOW - then she finds friendship and love. The heroes, twins, were brought up in a loving family. There is a mix of species, including humans from Earth, which is quite interesting. Everyone is looking for love, a lasting love, and if you found the ONE and she's scarred, you'll go to her pace and not yours - this is a touching part of the story and I loved it. There's not LOL moments, the story is quiet in itself but if fits in well. There are two POV told at the 3rd person, not at all confusing.

Feels like the story was incomplete, no real conflict or bad guy. The family friend but it would have been better if he had come to get her anyway and the twins dispatched him.
The story never really told what happened to her when she was a slave, I'm dissatisfied.

This story is just so dreadful that I want to bleach my brain and eyeballs. Made no difference that the heroine has blue skin.

Ok, now this really is the end (so far) and I don't like that. I have really enjoyed my time spent in this universe and I didn't want to leave. I do see another book available for pre-order so there will be more (THANK YOU!!!) and I can't wait to see what happens next. While I hate that this one is good by for now, I really enjoyed this (and the rest of the series).

Good job everyone!

Susan Hayes finishes up with the Scarred the third novella in the amazing 3013: Series. Each of the books has been an amazing addition the series and I was lucky to be gifted Scarred to read and review.
Sci Fi has been one of my favorite genre's throw in menage and I'm in heaven.

Laesa loved her and just wanted to wrap her up in cotton. But she didn't need to be, after going through such a traumatic life and then learning to stand on her own feet doing a damn good job of it. yeah awesome!

The hot sex walking males are Helios, shifters money and name. But you can tell that even though they are used to getting what they want, they've worked for it. They also see something in Laesa that pulls them, both Rhen and Sabar knows that patience will when the day or the girl.

Short but oh so sweet, I love how Laesa came into herself, the patience Rhen and Sabar showed, the loyalty her friend showed. Just an awesome little read all the way around.

I recommend it and I enjoyed it!

I genuinely enjoyed this alien romance. There's a lot of world building for the series it's a part of, but i never felt lost.

It was nice to read about a nonhuman heroine in one of these SF alien books, and while neither of the heroes was particularly drawn well, I did appreciate that they were all about obtaining her consent, and

A lack of alphahole aliens and some genuinely good worldbuilding puts this novella above a lot of SFR I've tried. I can't wait to see what this author does with a longer word count.

This story is about Laesa she is from Tarin and also a former slave. She leaves her home in search for more and to paint. She soon finds Rhen and Sabor. These two are immediately drawn to Laesa and want her for their own but they know she has been through a lot and take their time with her. This was a sweet yet sensual story about the triad. I liked how gentle Rhen and Sabor were with Laesa . I can't wait to read more from Susan and this series.

All three of these short books are awesome, I love the series, this was a short, fun, sexy little read. The other two Asylum by Kai Argent and Synergy by Laurie Roma are just as awesome! I can't wait to read more from these authors.

Cute Story

This was a beautifully written short story. The characters were likeable (no brooding unnecessary stuff from the males). The love story had great pacing. I really enjoyed it.

Quick solid read

FHi was a slave in a harem on Tartaurus. The whole relationship proceeds slowly drawing out the sweet moments and making it very believable. Sweet, but IMHO more tension was needed.

Great story

I really liked this book. The story felt breathtakingly beautiful. The love the characters felt for one another was genuine. This is the first time that I have read this story author but it will not be the last.

Not bad, but this story just came across as almost glazed over. Granted a novella usually has less than a book, but I think they went too far the other way on this one and just skipped and rubber stamped too many scenes.

Laesa Fen has been through hell and is emotionally scarred by her past, but in seeking the experiences her newfound freedom offers, she meets two gorgeous Helios brothers Sabar and Rhen, who it turns out, will do anything for her and help her maintain her freedom as well. Lovely, sweet romance and a bit of a coming of woman story.
