Ruth Clampett is a 21st century woman, aspiring to be Wonder Woman…now if she could only find her cape and magic lasso. Meanwhile she’s juggling motherhood, a full-time job running her own art business, and writing romance late at night. Travel is her second obsession after writing, and it’s enabled her to meet reader and writer friends all over the world. She’s happily frazzled, and wouldn’t change a thing about her crazy life.

The rooms in her home are all painted different colors and her books are equally varied, infusing humor, drama, and passion into the romantic lives of strong heroines and heroes and their worthy and determined counterparts.

Ruth has published eight books: Animate Me, Mr. 365, the Work of Art Trilogy, WET, BURN and Unforgiven. She grew up and still happily resides in Los Angeles, and is heavily supervised by her teenage daughter, lovingly referred to as Snarky, who loves traveling with her mom with a sketchbook in hand.

**Partial review**

Filthy Rich (Blackstone DYNASTY) by Raine Miller

I can’t express how excited I was to see the post by Ms. Miller about this novella and that it was going to be about a member of the Blackstone Clan!

Caleb Blackstone has just decided to give up on women but then he sees her – Brook and suddenly she is all he sees. But neither of them realize just how intertwined their pasts really are.

This novella set the scene for Brooke & Caleb perfectly. It gives you a small glimpse into their lives but doesn’t give away too much. I think what I love the most about Raine Miller’s stories is that she gives us men that know what they want and don’t waver (too much). I got the feeling that Caleb isn’t about to let a single thing get in his way when it comes to pursuing Brooke.

I loved this. Now I’m just left to suffer the wait for more of this series that is bound to be amazing.

A wonderful collection of short stories for a great cause. I've read two of the eight and loved them both.

Escaping the Cocoon by Jade C. Jamison

A tender story about a woman who has lost her sense of worth, married to a man who doesn't appreciate her. Once she decides to start a part-time job, she slowly begins to gain back her independence and finds someone worth reinventing herself for.

I loved that the author has written a story that is not her usual style. But no matter, it's still beautifully poignant and provides such hope for a woman who thought all was lost. I wouldn't mind more from these characters since they do have more to tell. A winner from start to finish.

Filthy Rich - Blackstone by Raine Miller

I'm happy to say that Raine Miller is back and is better than ever. I mean, seriously, another Blackstone? Could my heart beat any faster at the thought? This time we get the beginnings of Caleb's story, an American cousin of Ethan who lives the rich, bachelor lifestyle and is stopped in his tracks when he sees the woman who could and hopefully will change all that. Brooke is English by birth but came to America after her parents died to live with her grandmother on an island off of Massachusetts. Blackstone Island to be exact. Although their meeting is brief, the sparks clearly flew and we are left wondering how this entire tale will unfold. I love that Brooke seems to be able to hold her own although there is an indication she wasn't always that way. And with Caleb, we're left with knowing that he may just take his recently deceased Dad's advice and grab onto the one woman who could soon own his heart. There are already some secondary characters that I just know will accentuate this book beautifully that are introduced.

I'm thrilled Ms. Miller is back and I cannot wait for more of this story! It's simply fantastic. As usual.

Having finally read a complete Anthology..... there is one problem..... Easch story is not long enough.

This is the first anthology I've read from cover to cover, generally I would probably just read the stories from authors already known to me :( and I am pleased to say I've enjoyed each and every story, enjoying each authors different writing style.

Will I now make choices based on these snippets of these authors - YES - I've probably just increased my TBR list immensely.

Let's Pretent by Ruth Clampett - (New to me)
Cute, quick story about 2nd chances, living with the regret and being able to remedy the hurt. Great characters.

Mr X, by Cambria Hebert (Known to me)
WOW!!! Hot quick sexy read, so much passion - I needed fanning.....

Indemnity by K A Hunter (New to me)
That was quite explosive, great adrenaline flowing suspense sorry, it definitely makes you want more.

Escaping the Cocoon by Jade C Jamison (Known to me)
That was a sweet story, nothing like her other work. It was really lovely. Certainly leaves you wanting more...

Filthy Rich - Blackstone by Raine Miller (known to me)
Loving this, and so happy to see its getting its own full length story. Downer... got to wait until the autumn, is it Autumn already????
Looking forward to seeing how Caleb and Brooke move forward.

Hard Luck by Liv Morris (known to me)
Ooh and what a teaser that was, how long before its out!!

The Decoy by Emma Nichols (New to me)
Liking Delilah, what a hoot! tough time, wrong choice in boyfriend and bad timing, quite a funny situation.

Book Boyfriend by Melanie Shawn (known to me)
Ahh, Dreamy Sebastian and his librarian! This was a fun sweet story; Jock type guy, nerdy type girl! who really shouldn't work but Sebastian and Michelle did, not without doubts but they worked through it.
I loved their naughtiness whilst on the study trip, and so pleased for them that they had Granny Trudy in their corner.

Pink is the word

This is my second purchase of this Shades of Pink series, and not only is it for a wonderful cause, but you get to experience some fantastic authors. These are shorts given the task of hooking the reader into looking forward of more to come. In particular, I had two authors in mine, Raine Miller and Liv Morris; they already have my attention, as their previous works are so amazing, so I was excited to see what they had in store. Both gave me a glimpse into stories that I can't wait to get my hands on. Of course Liv Morris is a master of the sweet shorts; she had me so hooked by that last sentence that I am so frustrated that the full story is not ready NOW, LOL! And what can I say about Raine Miller and the Blackstone legacy but, LOVE IT! I've missed this author, and I can't wait to devour this series. So all I have left to say right now is PINK POWER!

It's a Bit of "Hard Luck" for Both Characters in this Rom-Com!

"Hard Luck" by Liv Morris:

Hard Luck by Liv Morris is a short introduction to her upcoming novel, Hard Luck, and after reading it, I'm so excited for more from this story. I've always thought that Liv's writing has a bit of sophistication to it, which creates great characters. Now she is trying her hand at romantic comedy and I love it! I was giggling at the set up for this story which is hilarious. Dr. Cali Jones is a physician who has had a bit of a crush from afar on Marcus Flynn, the quarterback for the Bears, a pro football team. He comes into her clinic with a bit of a problem down below, which turns out to be cured only when she is in the room. What happens after is one where shenanigans ensue! A great introduction into a fun plot concept. I can't wait to read more!

As of right now, this review is for Hard Luck by: Liz Morris as I did not read the others...

It's hard to review a 10k sneak peek into a bigger book, but I want to do Hard Luck and Liv justice... So far from what I've read I believe it was 4 chapters, I had to laugh, and of course I had to roll my eyes at Marcus.. Anywho, can you say awkward? Hahaha!!!! When the doc. Meets the coach that's the one word that comes to mind... Awkward!!! So far this book is funny, I know I'm suppose to review all books in the box set, however I'm only reviewing hard luck for now :) I can't wait to see the finished version :) I want to see how it all plays out, happy reading :) oh yea... She gets 3.5 stars since it was only 4 chapters :) also forgot to put, I received an ARC for my honest opinion :)

In this edition of Pink Shades of Words we get stories from a few different authors. Some give us a tease of a book to come and some give us a short story. The overall collection was nicely done and I did enjoy the different books and writing styles. My only pet peeve is that some of the books that were a tease of a book to come did not have the book listed on the author's site on Goodreads to mark as "Want to Read" so I would know when it comes out so that I can continue the story. Overall a good cause, good reads and a fair price. I really cannot give a synopsis of the books because it would be impossible for it not to contain spoilers since each story given was short in nature.

Leaving a review now for Filthy Rich by Raine Miller. Will review the remaining stories as I read them.

In Raine's next venture we get introduced to the American arm of the Blackstone family. We are given a small glimpse into Caleb and Brooke, two characters that have already intrigued me. Raine knows how to create dynamic characters and I can tell when these two get together we are going to have explosive results! I can't wait to get their full story! I'm already hooked, but then again, Raine has done that to me with each ad every book she's written!

Live Morris Rocks

I haven't read all the stories yet but I just finished Luv Morris' Hard Luck! I'm left wanting the whole story which Luv has said will be published later this year!
I love how the characters literally came to life! Hot, sexy, football playing characters and one way too cool, young, female sexy doctor that the star football player is convinced his "manhood" will only work for her
A arranged, contractual marriage, I just can't wait to see how the story unfolds and I know Liv will have us all anticipating the full release!

Pink Shades of Words is a collaboration of 8 never before seen short stories from 8 authors. I've only read Filthy Rich (about the American Blackstones) by Raine Miller and loved it beyond words! I just can't get enough of this author's magical writing. Caleb Blackstone and Brooke Casterley are fascinating characters that are easy to love. I hope to read more about them soon! I love it that all proceeds of this book will benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer through the Fifty Shades of Pink team.

I read all but two of these short stories, and of the ones I read I have to say they were all great and kept me interested! My absolute favorites were Book Boyfriend by Melanie Shawn, Let’s Pretend by Ruth Clampett, and Mr. X –A Short Story by Cambria Hebert. These were true standalone short stories. I also enjoyed Hard Luck by Liv Morris and Filthy Rich by Raine Miller, which were only teaser beginnings for a full story to be published at a later date. I loved this collection so much I'm considering buying even though I read on KU.

This was a really great collection of short stories. I enjoyed each and every one of them, and would rate them each 4-5 stars. It's hard to feel like you've read a complete story (in the sense that there's a beginning, middle, and end) when you read a short story, but most of these authors accomplished that. I definitely recommend the set, especially since it's for a good cause!

Great cause, good reading

I enjoyed these little tastes of each author's writing. Before reading this I had only ever read Raine Miller and I loved the Blackstone story. Built I discovered new authors to read. Each story empowered women and had heroes that supported and built them up.

I bought this book for one reason, that being Raine Miller. Raine is one of my favorite author's and she did not disappoint with her latest story, Filthy Rich. Loved Caleb and Brooke. I am so looking forward to reading much more about them.

I bought this anthology being a fan of Cambria Hebert's. Her short story did not disappoint. I enjoyed getting to know some authors that I hadn't had a chance to read yet.

Great book for a great cause!
