The groom was supposed to say 'I do'... except Connor Haden decided he wanted me instead!
On the field, the superstar quarterback is a decisive machine, off the field he’s a total playboy. Everyone was shocked—including me—when he got engaged, but the media is going to have a field day once they hear how he chose to ditch his bride!
It was supposed to be the wedding of the decade, but now he’s destroyed my career and my reputation. Who's going to hire a wedding planner who ended up on honeymoon with the groom?
The bastard has got his sights set on me. I just need to survive two more scorching weeks in paradise without letting him win me over.
Easy, right?
If I can ignore his panty-melting smile and his lickable glistening abs, I'll be fine. And I'll just have to pretend not to notice the way he looks at me, or his oh so very luscious tight-end.
I won’t let myself fall for another bad boy, not again.
Oh, how I can’t wait for this honeymoon to be over!
**Bad Boy's Wedding is a full length (65k), standalone novel that includes hot steamy scenes and a HEA**
Review By: Kristy Dean (April 2016) Title: Bad Boys Wedding Author: Avery Wilde (Arc for honest review)
The authors writing style: This if the first book that I have read by Avery Wilde and will be adding her to my favorite lists. I was glad that this story was good with an HEA ending. I felt the connection build between the characters and the events happening. There were very few mistakes, cuddles to the editor. I also have a feeling that a book two could be made or a series about the other players on the team. There was not a lot of over details or repeated lines, which was great. This was a typical bad boy who finally finds love in different place with a different person with a happy ending. I will be adding this to my favorite books to reread again. Overview: Connor is the star quarterback for the LA Lions. He lives a fast and hard life. He picks women whom are the typical high maintenance. Two days before he is to marry Crystal, he calls it off. She is in full drama mode when he leaves and goes to his bachelor party. But soon he sees a new person who looks mad and hot. He allows April, the wedding planner, in the VIP room, only for find out that she is mad he is canceling the wedding and throws a drink in his face. April is shocked at how he is trying to put the moves on her after he just broke up with the bride. Because the wedding is off, April’s boss fires her. April is even more mad a Connor. When Connor offers her a chance to use his honeymoon as a parting gift, she is mad and shocked, but decides to go. Connor decides that he is going to go too, but not tell her in hopes that she will fall for him. But soon they both find who they really are. Will they end up together? Will the past haunt both of them? Will Connor ever grow up and see what the world has to offer him? Will April the wedding planner find a new beginning in life?
Playboy extraordinaire, Connor Haden just cancelled his wedding. Wedding planner April Mathews was furious. She now won't get her commission to the wedding of the year after hours of back breaking work to make it happen. She confronts Connor in the hotel bar to tell him off. The confrontation is witnessed by Connors football teammates and a bet is made. $80,000 if he can spend 2 weeks with April at the paid for honeymoon resort. That is basically the storyline to this ebook. It had great potential even though a little unbelievable. Connors character grows from arrogant unfeeling playboy to love struck mushy feeling human. April is rather boring and had not much depth. I felt the ebook dragged in a lot of chapters but overall you can read it and be somewhat entertained with the written word. 2.5 stars.
Bad boy falls for good girl after ruining her life as a wedding planner in cancelling his wedding and getting her fired. Will she give him a chance??? Is he as bad as he presents? The author presents you with well developed characters that pull at your heartstrings. The setting is stunning and mesmerizing. You can picture yourself there with the characters. The story weaves deception, adventure, intrigue with twists and turns that keep you glued to the book. A enjoyable, spicy, quick read !!! Thank you to the author for this eBook. My opinion is my own
It's always a bit more difficult for me to get into a book that begins with the H having a detailed sexual encounter with o/w... especially in this book where he is calling off his wedding, but let's the girl go down in him and then saying “What a beautiful parting gift that was, babe. Shame I didn’t get you anything in return.”, and then bounces. I understand that men in these books are supposed to be 'bad boys' but that is way over the line for being a dick.
Arc review For honest review. After a big break up before his wedding to Crystal he runs of with April the wedding coordinator see their story what a very cute story that you will love.
DELICIOUSLY CUTE AND DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING !!! Title: Bad Boy's Wedding Author: Avery Wilde Designation: Bad Boy Contemporary Romance, Standalone, NO Cliffhanger Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING STARS This is my first time reading Avery Wilde but it won't be my last. I'm always on the lookout for a great new author and apparently, Wilde is a relative newcomer to the wonderful world of indie publishing. And judging from her obvious talent shown in this book, I foresee great things in her future writing career. Since I was unfamiliar with Avery Wilde, I had no idea what to expect but she and her work were highly recommended by Emilia Beaumont, one of my all-time favorite contemporary romance authors so I decided to give her a chance and I'm so glad I did! There's nothing I love more than bad boys, steamy contemporary romance and great writing, and in Bad Boy's Wedding we get the 'perfect trifecta' of all three. By no means am I a professional reviewer but I know what I like, what I love and what I don't and I loved this book. I rate my books quite differently than most reviewers. I don't try to pick them to pieces nor do I search for gaping plot holes or glaring errors, although I will refuse to read a book that is poorly written. I rate a book on how easy it is to read, understand and follow and most of all, how entertaining it is, how well it captured my attention and on how much I truly enjoyed it. And I truly enjoyed this book! But when accolades are deserved, I'm more than willing to give them and Avery Wilde did a fantastic job with this book. It's well crafted, well edited and totally realistic. Wilde is a talented storyteller and has excellent language skills which is always a big plus in my book. I'll admit, initially I was afraid the premise for this story would be a little cliche, too used, too familiar and possibly too predictable but nothing could be farther from the truth. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with alternating his and her points of view designated by chapter - my fav! I just love a book where there's never any confusion about what each character is thinking and feeling! The dialogue is smart, witty, amusing, well executed and flows effortlessly. Bad Boy's Wedding is a full length, standalone novel coming in at 348 pages. The pace is brisk but steady and the pages just flew as I remained glued to my ereader. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. I found myself turning the pages as quickly as I could to see what was going to happen next. But the primary component of this story and the element that completely stole my heart was, without a doubt, the characters. I found them to be captivating, engaging, relatable, sexy and completely realistic. After reading the first chapter, I was totally prepared to hate handsome Connor Haden, star quarterback, womanizer, manwhore, commitment phobe and male protagonist of this story. But surprise - I actually fell head over heels in love with him! Hey, I may be 64 years young but I ain't dead yet and I'm only human, right? I can still be attracted to a good-looking guy! And it's always quite refreshing to read a practical, more life-like love story where the guy and girl are both represented realistically. And April Matthews, the female protagonist is absolutely adorable. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a perfect fairy tale romance just as much as the next guy or girl, but they're not always believable. Surprisingly, this one is not only believable, it's also completely imaginable and reasonable. I think that's one of the things I enjoyed about it most. It also has a lot of other wonderful characteristics like cutesy humor, heated attraction, great chemistry, steamy passion and seductive love scenes but this is not erotica, folks, although it does include some very dreamy love scenes, I would describe this book as a cute, sweet, fun, feel-good contemporary romance that is sure to warm your heart and leave you with a big, silly grin on your face. What did I love about this book? Everything! What didn't I like? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but I would suggest it for adults only! Will I read this author again? Absolutely - probably as soon as she releases her next book!
Connor Haden, self proclaimed womanizer, bad boy and star quarterback for the LA Lions, has found himself in quite the fix. He's engaged to marry socialite Crystal Wagner in only two days and has decided to end the engagement, the relationship and the wedding, realizing almost too late that it would be the biggest mistake of his life. Oh my! Marriage may have seemed like a good idea at the time but Connor knows he doesn't love Crystal and she certainly doesn't love him. Crystal is in it strictly for the fame and fortune - his fame and fortune. Regrettably, not only is his timing poor, so is his delivery of the news. Oh dear! And Crystal doesn't take the news well at all! And neither does the curvy, little wedding planner, April Matthews, who confronts Connor in the hotel bar and, none too kindly, proceeds to explain what a complete jerk Connor is. Unfortunately, Connor makes the situation even worse by coming on to her which only results in her throwing a drink in his face - in front of everyone including his teammates. Oh my! She's certainly a beautiful little spitfire! But nothing can change Connor's mind, not even the lovely little wedding planner. He's not ready to commit nor settle down; heck, he's not even close and has never loved a woman in his life. He doesn't even know what love is. There are too many beautiful woman in the world he still wants to sample and surprisingly, that number includes the cute little wedding planner with the mouth-watering rack and luscious curves. Oh dear! Unfortunately, he may have blown any chance with her by accepting the bet concocted by his teammates. Bet? Oh yes, I said bet. Leave it to a bunch of guys to come up with the terrible idea of him seducing the wedding planner and remaining in a committed relationship with her for at least two weeks to win a bet of eighty thousand dollars. Oh no! Oh yes! And it's so on! Now, all he has to do is somehow convince her to accept the prepaid reservations for what should have been his and Crystal's luxurious honeymoon package at an exclusive, exotic resort on a secluded tropical island. If he can just get her to the island, he'll be there waiting for her and the bet will be in the bag and the money his. Too bad April knows nothing about the bet and certainly has no idea that Connor will also be there - in the same hut. Had she known, she never would have accepted. She's already had her heart broken once and after all, Connor Haden is the reason she was just fired. He has completely ruined her life so she hates him, right? She could never be attracted to a womanizer and self proclaimed bad boy like Connor Haden, right? Apparently she is very attracted to him, but surely she can make it through the next two weeks with her heart and her virtue still intact, right? We'll see! Let the games begin! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
I usually stay away from these "bad boy" books, but I took a chance on this one. Usually they are more sex than substance, but this one is different. Yes, there is lots of sex, but the characters are likable and strong. April is a wedding planner, planning the wedding of a hot NFL quarterback and his socialite fiancee. At the last minute Connor calls the wedding off. Not only is the socialite angered, but April gets fired over it. To make up for her losing her job Connor offers her the plane ticket and the use of the honeymoon package. He says she will be there alone, but he lied. He was there to make good on a bet. She is in for a surprise, but so is he. Good story, great characters. I loved it.
This book was amazing, if i could i would give it a 10 star rating. The book basically starts off with Connor breaking off his engagement a couple days before the wedding and then making a bet with his football friends that he can be with a girl for 2 weeks and they end up choosing his wedding planner (April) to go with him. So when April gets fired, Connor gives her one of the tickets from his honeymoon saying she can go alone to the island but really he ends up going as well as part of the bet. They then end up spending time together and start to fall in love but then he tells her the truth and she leaves brokenhearted. After about three weeks, Connor's agent tells her he has been just as broken hearted as she was and so the agents gives her tickets to his pre season football game. She ends up going, he gets injured, she takes care of him and he makes a grand gesture and says I love you, 3 months later they end up getting married and go on a honeymoon where she tells him she is pregnant. I recommend this book to anyone who loves silly bets that turn into true love for two characters and a little bit of football.

Enjoyed these characters immensely and the great "honeymoon" locale. April is NP nonsense while Connor is a typical jock that is full of himself, but changes because of her. The twists are fairly predicable and the story ends as I liked.
Written in 1st person Dual POV. I didn't get bored. I love the drama I didn't get that attached to the characters but it was okay. Interesting story, it was a light read. Safe to read in public.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
OMG! What a page turner. I can honestly say I was drawn in from that first sentence.....it was fantastic (that first sentence) I have to say though, the whole book was FANTASTIC.
Conner Haden - QB for the football team (pro sports not school,) ego driven, cocky, knows he has it and uses the charm, arrogant.....and the list could go on for miles. Every girl knows one of these and probably in the mind has been in "love/lust" with one of these. However this particular one has some brains (above his waist line even - LOL) He doesn't really use the brains above the waist often but when he does start to use them, he makes the book pop and sparkle while coming to life. You actually will cheer him on.....really it is true.
April Matthews - a shy girl who is a wedding planner, yep Conner's wedding planner (I see Lifetime channel movie happening here - HAHA) she has been hurt so deeply that she chooses NOT to like Conner before knowing him (smart girl in the beginning.) She is one of us girls that know the game and the player and she is not about to be a conquest of his. (Good girl!!!) But then she is fired from her job because of the event not happening. She is beyond pissed and Conner is at the heart of that anger, so it is a surprise when Conner tries to play "nice guy" and yet even April knows something seems off about him being nice. The catch, what is the catch??
She decides to let go a little and take the offer given to her by Conner. However, there is a major change in plans.....is that not what should be expected? She kind of did and yet wanted to just allow herself some much needed R&R after the whole she lost her job, and the playboy QB that caused that trouble. No surprise that he once again is right in the thick of the whole change of plans, is it? Nope. That is what Conner does best. It will surprise you though how even as a reader you start off knowing the typical playboy out for one thing and that being himself (and what he will get from this situation - of course,) but I was even drawn in and let my guard down. Glad I did too. (Right there with you April. Wishing that sometimes I would have had this kind of fairy tale like happen in my life.....yep no such luck there)
Is April tricked into something? Does Conner have ulterior motives? Does Conner start to realize he has hurt April? Do they both try their best to steer clear from one another or do they let loose and allow themselves the freedoms to play and walk away? Is there a little bit of a change for the playboy in store? What is their HEA or is there going to be a HEA for this pair? You MUST read this book to find out. I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed when you do.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Connor Haden is a mega star quarterback and the groom. He decides that he doesn't want to get married after all and backs out. April Matthews is the wedding planner of the wedding that will either make or break her career. After learning the groom called everything off she agrees to speak to him and get him back on board.
When Connor sees April he is intrigue by her especially when she goes off on him for calling the wedding off. After getting her say out and him still not agreeing to marry Crystal April knows she's in trouble. As if not being blamed for him calling it off was enough she ends up fired from her job. When his friends let Connor know that they had bets on whether he would get marriage or not it makes him mad enough to accept a wager. He has to spend two weeks with a woman of their choosing or lose a great deal of money he agrees before knowing who they would pick....April the wedding planner.
April is having something to eat when Connor approaches her with an offer to go on his honeymoon with him which she flat out refuses. When he realizes he has caused her to lose her job he called and tells her a ticket will be waiting for her to go as an apology for what he caused her to lose. After thinking about it she decides to accept the free trip however she doesn't realize that he will be there too. Only when she walks in and finds him naked does she learn she's been tricked and sparks fly.
This was a great book I couldn't stop reading it until I was at the last page. If you haven't read this book I highly recommend you do so now you won't regret it.
After breaking off his engagement to a self-absorbed fame hog, Connor's teammates bet him that he cannot prove he's not afraid commitment by making it at least two weeks with the same person...on his honeymoon acting married. The catch is, they've chosen his wedding planner for him to use to win the bet.
Connor tricks April into taking the ticket to the island for his honeymoon on the pretense that he will not be going. When she arrives, she is surprised as well as angry that he is actually there. With many ups and downs, they finally begin to actually be together instead of just acting like it for the sake of the employees. Connor just has the issue of deciding when it'll be the right time to tell April about the bet and hope she will forgive him.
And since there cannot be anything going on with the star quarterback without the media getting involved, there is a reporter that shows up looking to get the big scoop about Connor running off with his wedding planner and how the bet has came out. She tells April to ask Connor about the bet as she's being led away back towards their hut. Once she finds out, she's devastated and leaves immediately, leaving part of her belongings there as well.
Jay, Connor's friend and agent, finally does what Connor hasn't had the nerve to do and contacts her, inviting her to a game. She goes, but thinks it will be good closure if nothing else...not expecting a very happy and excited Connor. After an injury that could be career ending, she nurses him back to health and he proposes on the 50 yard line...never expecting the best wedding gift ever.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was an absolutely fantastic book, I hadn't read this author before so didn't know what to expect but I was really happy with it, in fact I was thrilled! I was engrossed from the beginning to end and read the entire book in one sitting as I just couldn't put the book down. The characters were very likeable and the story just flowed really well. I wasn't 100% sure what the story was about when I started it as I hadn't read the bio really, all I really knew was that Connor had ditched his bride to be just before their wedding and had taken their wedding planner on their honeymoon. But it's a really well written book and I just loved it. Although Connor is your typical "Bad Boy", you can't help but like him, as we always seem to do, and from his past experiences can kind of understand why he feels about relationships the way he does, however you can't forgive everything and April certainly doesn't give an inch which I like, she's just a no-nonsense kind of girl! I have instantly looked to see what else this author has written as I now want to read her other work, and although I haven't bought them yet I know I will be in the very near future. A definite recommendation, 5 Stars from me! A must read, you won't be disappointed.

Loved the banter through out a bad boys wedding. The story keeps you hooked from start to end. I enjoyed this book soo much i was really upset when i had finished reading it. Their is so many funny moments and laughter through out the story that it has you laughing out loud. What i liked the most about the book was both the story line and how you feel connected to each character that appears.
April is a sweet women who has a dream of running her own business. But in order to do that she must complete Conner and Crystals Perfect wedding. April has fire in her eyes but avoids showing it to her clients. Dreaming big and almost reaching her goal until Conner decides the call the wedding of. April soon turns from miss sweet and innocent to a firey women who wont hold back.
Conner is the quarter back who doesnt do commitment doesnt do marriage and definitely doesn't do love. Bored of his fiance he decides to call of his wedding. Conner is an arrogant and over confident man who soon meets his match when his wedding planner shows up and throughs a drink in his face.
Bets places, Hearts on the line, Ex-fiance splashed all over the media. O and did i forget going on a honey moon with the groom?
This story is explosive with humor and laughter. Loved it
Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review. Not long now and all her dreams will start to happen. April can't wait to get this job of wedding planner over then she can make plans for her own business. Sometimes fate can be a b***h or this time is it the bride to be. , Crystal. Then her groom Connor ditches her, what!!!! Connor can't do this, marry Crystal so he tells her. Omg. April has to try and salvage the situation and gets more than she bargained for. A story of two people, Connor and April, who by fate are brought together whether April likes it or not. To spend time together for two weeks on their pretend honeymoon . A story of sexual attraction, longing, big secrets, drama, public scrutiny, love, hope and so much more but the worst thing was, betrayal. At first I thought Connor deserved Crystal but then seeing the man behind the public persona you can see he wants more in life. April has faced heartbreak in her life and has hopes and dreams and you want to fight in her corner. Protect her. Brilliantly written and twists and turns you never expect. Loved it
Bad Boy’s Wedding by Avery Wilde At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like this story. The famous Football Quarterback Connor, and the fame seeking Crystal. The big wedding is all planned and ready to go thanks to wedding planner April. Connor is a real bad boy who is getting married to Crystal for all the wrong reason and Crystal is only looking to become famous. Just before the wedding Connor breaks up with Crystal. April has everything planned out this is the job that can make her dreams come true or ruin her life plans of her own business. The story starts out bad for everyone, But Avery Wilde finds way to twist and turn everything. There are so many surprises in this story it is hard to put down. So if you like a hot steamy love story you’ll love this story. I ended up fall for Connor’s charms myself. I learned to understand you can’t always judge a book by the first chapters. So I would recommend this book and give it 5 stars. I was given this book for my honest opinion, Thank you Avery Wilde for the great read.
Connor Haden is the superstar quarterback and off the field he’s a total playboy. He is engaged, but the media is going to have a field day once they hear how he chose to ditch his bride! It was supposed to be the wedding of the decade, but now he’s destroyed my career and reputation. Who's going to hire a wedding planner who ended up on honeymoon with the groom? April thought this wedding would be her ticket to her dream job, running and owning her own party business. His decision to call off the wedding has ruined her future. Taking the tickets to his honeymoon should help heal her frustrations.
Conner has one love, football. He cannot understand why the feisty, red head wedding planner makes him feel something for another person. April had her heart broke before and refuses to fall for someone who will break her heart. Both have issues they must deal with and Conner's crazy life is always in the limelight. A hot read with a great story.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
"I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review." Such a funny book! Who would think to get married in reverse! I wouldn't have married Crystal either, she's just awful! Connor is a typical male, thinking he can be a playboy forever. After that fiasco, you would think he learned his lesson, nope he decides to put his foot further in his mouth. Betting on the unsure is never a good idea. April was an unsuspecting stranger, thinking she did her best and is making a way to a better career. Thinking she is getting the reward she deserves after such a horrible fail, she takes Connor's offer of a free vacation. The vacation would have been perfect except Connor dropped in! A romance that started under false pretenses, turns out to be what any woman hopes for. A great love, that's devoted and ready for it all!
Bad Boy's Wedding was one of those books that I could snuggle down in the couch with a glass of wine and enjoy. It was a great romance to get lost in. Connor is an all important quarterback for his team and can be counted on to make the winning play, but he is a complete commitment phobe. April is dependable, stable, looking for that perfect guy while making everyone else's happy day the perfect day ever. What she never counted on her attraction to the bad boy quarterback and he never counted on her.
These two are highly explosive. A reader never knows if it will be a pleasurable experience or one to take cover. I loved the story and the characters they kept me looking forward to their future. I enjoyed the growth of Connor and April. They each have something they learn and it is great to see. This was a very sweet and at times very hot read. I highly recommend it.
Received this book from the author for an honest review. The story starts out with Connor dumping his bride two days before the wedding. April confronted Connor to try to get him to go through with the wedding but ended throwing a drink in his face. Connor's teammates made a bet with him that he could not stay in a relationship for two weeks and they get to pick who he had to stay with for the two weeks. So Connor trick April in going to the Island he was going to go for his honeymoon. This is were the fun starts until April finds out he made a bet with some of his teammates. Will April be able to forgive Connor for that or will they end up apart. Once you start reading this book you will find it hard to put it down. Grab a coffee and start reading this book it will make your day.
I read some of the comments on the story about Avery copying this from the movie.. But there is no comparising.. I love the wedding planner movie I watched it a hundred time.. the only thing it is about Apirl who happens to be a wedding planner.. in the movie she actually fell in love with the main Character well helping him with his wedding.. not go to a beauitful post honeymoon with the ex-groom.. The story was very entertaining.. Had lots of fun reading this story.. I plan on rereading later in the summer.. I go camping and it is on my list of story to make sure I have to read by the river and campfire. excellent well written. You love sweet bad boy romance then this is a great one to add to your collection.. I was given this story for a honest review.. and I was very impressed..
I loved this book. Connor is a pro football quarterback who is also known for being a playboy. We meet him not at his best. He has backed out of his wedding just a couple days before it was supposed to happen. I am thinking at this time, that I do not like him very much, but he starts to improve as the book goes on, until I really like that cocky, sexy man. I like April, the wedding planner, from the beginning, when she tries to talk Connor into changing his mind about his wedding, and ends up throwing his drink into his face. This is a well written, steaming hot story that will keep you interested from beginning to end. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and I plan to read many more.
Ok it took me a while to read this book because I had other stuff going on...but i still loved it.
Connor is funny as hell. Dude his good bye gift to Chrystal was CLASSIC and had in in TEARS! Connor really was an ass when he was first introduced to us. Talk about cocky. And didnt April answer the call and shot is ass back down to earth. Then we finally saw Connor the man and it was a great transformation.
April, now i like her. the woman has spunk, though she should of cussed Chrystal out after she was no longer the wedding planner. April was just letting her past guide her future and it was really making her bitter and just burying herself in her work.
They way they came together was just so sweet. Great story
