Speechless 3: When Love Hurts

Why is David STILL BREATHING?! 🤬🤬🤬 He has to Goooo NOW!! I’m so over his punk ass!
Honestly, I don’t even have any more words for Erica. I just don’t understand this girl at all and I don’t think I will ever understand her. I’m here for forgiveness and growth but just because you forgive, somebody don’t mean you need to be in relationship with them. For real how does Erica benefit from being friends with Brooke? Can anybody explain that to me?
And I definitely was expecting Anthony to forgive his wife and move past it. He’s a better human than me because I don’t know if I could ever be that forgiving or love someone that much.
Headed to the next set of books because we still got questions I need answers.

A wild ride!
Whew this series was definitely a wild ride!! I loved Sen and Neicey so much cause they kept me cracking up and Neicey always gave it to Erica straight, no chaser. I really hope to get more on their relationship!! David was.... David 😂 he just was too focused on the wrong things. I really liked Erica and Meechi and I hope they stay together. Now onto why I gave this 4 instead of 5 ⭐.... Lying, selfish, funky ass Brooke and Ant!! I knew there story would end the way it did because Ant is such a good man. He deserves wayyyyyyy better if you ask me. Brooke was just a selfish liar 🤷🏿♀️ it seemed that in their world the people to blame for the affair was Erica and David, no blame on Brooke whatsoever! At one point Brooke said she had to forgive Erica ?!?!? For what? Cause all three of y'all agreed to that, just like her and ant agreed on their first baby and she acted like he forced her!! I couldn't stand her one bit! Even their damn therapist said "Ant you can't blame her for using the coping skills she has to deal with her trauma" SINCE WHEN IS DOING SPLITS ON YOUR HUSBANDS BEST FRIENDS D A COPING SKILL!! I was done!! She blamed everyone for everything. The fact that Erica is still friends with her annoys me! I hope my girl Big Neicey pops Brooke just once in one of these books to come 😂 great series

Good series
This series went out with a bang! Secrets were definitely revealed. Even though Brooke elaborated on her reasonings for having the ongoing affair with David, I don’t feel as if she was validated for that. I decided that I didn’t like her nor David’s character! I do appreciate BriAnn’s frequent references to the power of prayer, faith and beliefs. I felt bad for Erica the most throughout, she pretty much was raised without the parental love and only had a grandmother. Although she mentioned that her grandmother did a great job raising her, having to grow up without your actual parents it can make you feel rejected or unworthy of love. Which explains her decisions that she made with David. Anthony is a bigger person that I am because “ain’t no way”! Good job BriAnn. This series is my first by you and now I am looking forward to reading the catalog!

There is no way that Anthony forgave trifling, evil, gaslighting, manipulative Brooke. And David is alive. Make it make sense. Honestly while this was a good read this is the one time I did not want love to conquer all. Brooke doesn’t deserve Anthony or his forgiveness. She is low down. She tried to make excuses for everything she did. No sense of accountability and the thing is she carried out these actions repeatedly. I’m so mad at this book.

After reading the entire Speechless: When Love Hurts series, I can't say that I am happy with the ending but I'm not disappointed either. The story follows a group of friends, Brooke, Erica, Anthony, and David. Initially Brooke, Anthony and David are the closest, having "grown up together," but after Brooke and Anthony begin dating (and ultimately marrying), David finds love with Erica, she is brought into the friend group.
On a drunken college night, Erica and Brooke share a kiss that really stays with Erica. She proposes to her boyfriend David that they have a threesome with Brooke. Unbeknownst to Erica, however, David has had a longtime crush on Brooke that he only put to the side out of respect for his friendship with Anthony, who he considers his best friend. The threesome happens, Brooke, Erica, and David decide to keep the night's events a secret from Anthony.
But Brooke and David begin having a secret affair - deceiving Erica and Anthony.
Of course what is done in the dark comes to the light, relationships and friendships end, and a marriage is put to the ultimate test.
The book ends with varying perspectives from each of the main characters, Brooke, Erica, Anthony, and David, along with perspectives from secondary characters, Meechi and Markie. The end is buttoned up nicely, leaving no unanswered questions for readers, which I appreciate.
There are countless spelling and grammatical errors in this series, Speechless: When Love Hurts Book 3 has an unbelievable amount of filler writing, and the internal monologues can be a bit repetitive. And one of the worst things about the book is the ideology that people don't need therapy, just Jesus. Even as a Christian reader who is not in therapy, it is offensive to me, so I can only imagine how much worse or triggering this point could be for people who have church hurt or are in therapy. However, if you can get beyond all that, there's an engaging hood story with lots of drama that will keep you turning the pages. Plus there's a spin-off series about Erica and Meechi. However, after about 600 pages of reading about these characters, I am kinda done with them. So, I won't be continuing. Sorry not sorry. Lol.

In my last review I said I was probably going to DNF book 2. Considering I stayed up all night it can be determined that was a lie. This series stressed me TF out!! The heartache was so gut wrenching. I felt bad that they had to go through all that but it’s the consequences of their shitty moral compasses (as described in my first review). Most of them got redemption and atonement for their questionable behavior in my eyes. It’s so unfortunate to read to characters who have such a strong connection that it literally jumps off the page, but they can’t seem to get it together or stop getting in their own way. I’m happy that some of them were to get a HEA even if it was a perfect HEA.
As some point in book 2 the character started speaking directly to the reader…I don’t like that 😒 it’s so random and it didn’t add any value to the story. Also, there were quite a few grammatical errors throughout the book.
I felt a little triggered by this series ngl. Take care of yourself while reading 🫶🏾

I’m glad Ant and Brooke were able to find their way back. However, I didn’t like how Brooke and David handled E. After that first sit down with Brooke, E should have been done. Cause what?! David’s ego was hell and he got off easy going to jail. E was may fave and she deserves happiness.

It’s very interesting reading your work backwards and I am PLEASED!! Girl, you are so talented! You never cease to amaze me! All the emotions you triggered with this series, Bri! Ugh, where do I start. David doesn’t get much out of me but the fact that he is a big time f-boy and needs to rot in jail. I’m still on-fence about Brooke, but I’m glad that she and Ant were able to rebuild their unity. I wish Erica would just let her guard down. Like, I get it. David scared her in the worst way and was so cocky about it! She deserves love and I hope and pray she and Meechie works things out. Meechie is book bae material ALL DAY LONG. His swag, the tone of his POV, his aura. Lawd!

Welll I finished the series.. I really liked the ending and I’m so glad David got what he deserved and Brooke and Ant worked out their marriage. I’m not a fan of the cheating but I’d never wish a divorce on anyone. I understand where Brooke was coming from, so I’m glad they are on their personal road to healing. Those are vows that I wouldn’t want to break myself honestly. I can’t wait for Erica and Meechi to stop playing around and finally say they love each other!! 3.5 star book for sure but 3.75 for the series. I wish we had movies made like this because I would def eat it up!! I had no idea that Erica and Meechi had a whole other series for their love story. On TikTok somebody said this series was their story, but I was so confused on how that was going to work because we were literally following the lives of like 4 different people lol.. but I can’t wait to read more about them two! 3.75⭐️

All I can say is tens across the board. Great storyline, great characters and character development, great action! This author is a force to be reckoned with. Some authors stall after the first few books. Not Ms. Danae. Glad Ant and Brooke handled things like a married couple should. Glad Erica is gonna get her chance. Sen is hilarious!! Meechi is definitely bae material. David..... Well I hope he doesn't get Deebowed for his boxers, even tho he deserves it. 😂😂😂 On to the next in her series...

I loved this sweet and vicious story. We the couples were good they were good but when things went bad they were bad. Never did like David and he got what he deserved. Can't believe what he did to Meechi's mom though. Glad Erica came around even though she still has work to do within and trying not to compare the relationships in the past to the one she is having now. Brooke really surprised me and I still love Neicy and Sen... I started the others before this one so i had to come back cause i was hella confused!!! Great job Briann

OKAAYYYYY!!!! So everything came back full circle and now I can kinda understand what she was going through in book one (I’ve got to update my review there). I’m not going to tell too much but yes I absolutely loved this storyline. And each book in the series got better and better. Welp on to the spin-off!!

The ride I just got off was thrilling but I’m happy I’m off. I’m still trying to understand how David had anyone working under him, he literally was the dumbest character I’ve ever read be the boss. Caught slipping wasn’t even a thing, he just made stupid moves.
Anthony and Brooke to me is the example of hardship and I do mean “Hardship” in a marriage, he understands the true meaning of unconditional Love💋

My heart was able to beat regularly this go around. Briann Danae definitely did her thing with this series and part 3 brought closure and happiness! I'm so glad Ant and Brooke fought for their marriage, love really does conquer all! I see now David more crazy and selfish than before and he not going to make it out alive!Erica and Meechi is a YES and she better fight for her man !

LOVED
I devoured the Speechless series in just two days! BriAnn Danae delivered an addictive, drama-filled rollercoaster that kept me hooked. I’m still in shock over the twists and turns, and the choices some of these characters made left me speechless. It was intense, entertaining, and impossible to put down. Highly recommend!

Speechless for the 3rd time sheesh
This was a great ending to the series, I just love Erica and Meechi!! Brooke and Ant working it out was a surprise but I'm glad they did. Only bad thing was Meechi never got to kill David but at least he got to lay hands on him lll

Didn't care for this series nobody was likeable, Brooke and David were scums of the earth, Anthony was a wuss, I don't know what to say about Erica besides dummy. This was not written well at all.

Anthony is a good man! A better man than most! Because I read Juvie and Solai I already know about Meechie and Erica and I already read about Sen and Niecy but Im ready to get the juicy details that the other books hinted at
