Emma Hayes has saved the Earth from monsters, but her mission isn’t over yet. To ensure that her world remains safe, she is now after the mages who orchestrated the monster attacks. She has followed them through a gateway to the magical world of Urusilim.
However, Emma quickly learns that Urusilim is even more dangerous than her hometown of New York City. It is a world in shambles and on the verge of rebellion. Generations of oppression and theft of the land’s magic by the mages has left humans, elves and monsters on the brink of ruin.
To complicate matters further, the mages are waging their own war against Urusilim’s demi-gods, which have imprisoned Emma’s mother. Now Emma must defeat two powerful forces – mages and demi-gods – to free her mother, liberate Urusilim and keep Earth secure.
Somewhere along the way, Sharur, the sentient battle axe that is the source of Emma’s power, has been taken from her by her greatest enemy. Can Emma find the courage, strength and power within herself to do what is needed to save the world?
