I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first Lashell Collins book and it was a great way to start off! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As I was reading, I noticed I was getting closer and closer to the end with, in my mind, so much story left to tell, so I was trilled to find that this book is just the start to a new series by Collins. Trevor and Melissa's characters were strong and well-fleshed out. I could clearly see what made them tick. One thing I particularly enjoyed was their strength/strong will. They are both individuals to go after what they want with fierce determination. While they both seek justice, they do so in very different ways. Melissa, a detective, doles out justice in accordance to the law. Trevor, on the other hand, enacts his own personal kind of justice (which could easily be viewed as vengeance, a point on which Melissa and Trevor agree to disagree). After Trevor saves Melissa's life, she finds herself thrust into a world she never knew existed and given knowledge that puts her in a very uncomfortable position at work. The things she learns from (and about) Trevor clearly explain the murders she's been investigating, but not what she should do about them. There is no way she can go to her superiors with this information. The following night they are visited by the (unwelcome) son of the alpha to a nearby pack. While the tension between he and Trevor is palpable, he is able to provide Trevor with the information he has been seeking for so long, enabling him to finish his quest for retribution. By the end of the book, Melissa has accepted that she is, in fact, Trevor's fated mate, even if she doesn't understand it. The two are in the process of getting to know one another. This book does end in a bit of a cliffhanger but also has a HFN ending. Melissa and Trevor are in a good place when the book concludes, but there are a lot of questions in the air. While I think this book could be read as a stand-alone if truly desired, it is definitely meant to be read as part of its series. Speaking of the series, I am super excited to read the rest of it. I can't wait to know what happens next in Trevor and Melissa's journey!

I really enjoyed reading this! This is my third Lashell Collins book, and I think that I'll be reading more of her work in the future!
I love the H/h here; they were not only intelligent and attractive, but introspective as well. Both carried a code of honor in regards to their community, which was nice. And there was no whining and/or waiting for a rescue from Melissa. (That would have pissed me off greatly, with her character being a police detective).
Trevor is one suave, sexy dude. On top of that, he is a total badass when he shifts and has to kick/kill ass.
The insta-sex and insta-love wasn't totally unbelievable, as Trevor and Melissa were - according to Trevor - 'fated mates'. As for Melissa, she didn't just go along with everything at the drop of a hat, like a generically written romance bimbo. The woman had brains and a heart.
With the book's ending, Trevor makes a great decision. And with that, I look forward to more of Trevor and Melissa's story. I see a great series ahead!

Rogue Moon is the first book I have read by Lashell Collins and I am hooked on her work.

Melissa is a detective who catches the strangest case she has had yet, a man who was mauled to death and his heart was ripped from his body.

Trevor is a multi billionaire who has developed robotics for the medical community. At first site of Melissa, he know they were fated to be mated.

Follow how the secrets that surround Trevor are revealed and the turmoil of what's right is faced by them both.

This has something for all shifter lovers. Love, intrigue, betrayal and sultry sex. I highly recommend this to all.

this book started out with action, and never stopped.
Trevor wanted revenge and he will get it, his wife/mate was killed but when the detective starts snooping around he realizes she is his mate, but to explain the wolf world, and mates, plus that he killed those men because they killed his wife might not be a good thing. when a man from the past comes forward with even more information Trevor will stop the one who plotted the death of his Jenny

I decided to read this book and this series because I loved the author's writing of the Issac Taylor Mysteries and because I read another paranormal book on another platform and thought it might be quite interesting. I am not surprised that I find this first book in this series very good and different. Trevor Dare, who is a billionaire CEO whose parents are both doctors and basically own the hospital where Melissa Cartwright's mother is head nurse, Trevor forms an unlikely pair with Melissa, who Trevor realizes is his mate because of her scent. Melissa is a detective, and Trevor is a bitten werewolf who was turned by his deceased wife. Due to the circumstances of her death, he has gone rogue, and Melissa is investigating the deaths of all the men Trevor is targeting to uncover the reason why the wolf pack killed his wife. This is a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Started reading this expecting it to be like most PNR books. But I was pleasantly suprised. I was so engrossed in the story that before I knew it I'd finished it.
I wouldn't say it was faced paced more of a smooth ride I didn't want to end.
If the other books in this series turn out to be half as good then we're in for a wild ride.

Oh My Werewolves! Yum

Vicious Murders
Werewolves
The Lady Cop And the Billionaire Werewolf

STORY LINE:
Trevor Dare is a billionaire, owner of a medical robotics company, Dare Enterprises, and a werewolf. He is also on a mission of vengeance to avenge his wife's murder. He intends to kill everyone involved in her death.

Melissa Cartwright is the detective on the case of vicious murders that seem to show animal claw marks, bodies torn apart, and crushed hearts ripped from the victims bodies.

Trevor and Melissa meet at the dedicated of the new hospital wing. Trevor immediately knows she will be important to him and the attraction between them is fast and intense.

Come along with Trevor and Melissa as they discover love, the secrets of the Werewolf Mafia and Syndicate, and the reasons behind his wife's death.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Author Lashell Collins' werewolf worlds sophisticated, worldly, has it's own mafia, governing council, and social prejudices. The characters were portrayed with the same worldly faults human possess; greed, jealousy, prejudice of the bitten werewolf versus the born, desire for power and the willingness to do anything to achieve their end goal.

Trevor character was a man haunted and on a path of destruction to all that ended his world. Ms. Collins gave him hope and another chance for a mate with the introduction of Melissa. I found her portrayal of Melissa's indecision and grappling with her duty as a law enforcement officer versus love for Trevor very realistic.

The pacing of the story was good and the plot was well done. Revelation of the reason behind Jenny's murders and who was behind the act was a surprise Ms. Collins did not reveal until the last moment. This kept the suspense level high.

The love scenes were not extended nor were they x-rated. I found them to be love between two caring people who were mates.

RECOMMENDATION:
Though a short book, I found the story satisfying and well written. The ending left the opening for the next book. I look forward to following Melissa and Trevor. I recommend this book for young adult and adult due to sexual content and violence. This book will appeal to anyone that like a solid paranormal werewolf story.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest book review.

They made me what I am. 5 GOLD MOONS

They created this monster I’ve become! HOLY WEREWOLVES!! Talk about one FURRIFIC TAIL!! I don't know what it is about this book - the subject; the characters; the writing itself; - but I was compelled to read it from start to finish without stopping...well, once I got past the first couple of paragraphs that is! Again, I don't know why, maybe because it started a little more "gruesome" than I expected, but once I got past that part and sgot into the story...WOW! I could not put it down!! And now I can't wait for the next book! And the next one...and so on! I am thrilled we have more Melissa and Trevor to look forward to (I'm hoping that Lashell has numerous books planned in this series!) and from what I can gather, this is going to be a series that will be follow Mel & Trevor's story, giving it the care, attention, details and love that it needs and deserves!! I love that this is not a serial, and I am BEYOND excited that this is not "just a short piece of fluff" kind of story that rushes through to the "Happily Ever After"! That all has me HOWLING with excitement under ANY moon, not just the Rogue Moon!!! But I can't help but GRRRROWL in frustration that I DO have to wait for more!! *pout* I AM PAWSITIVELY OBSESSED with every single little KIBBLE & BIT that makes this book be the WOLFTACULAR book it is!! It has a detailed & complex story line that is not overloaded or too busy, and on the flip side to that it doesn't drag out nor have any unnecessary "filler". Lashell does a WOLFTASTIC job ensuring it is all PAWFECTLY paced to keep you fully mesmerized and engaged with the characters, giving your heart a chance to settle before ratcheting it up again - whether it be by the intense moments or the hot stuff. wink Add in the characters which are multifaceted and intriguing, and I couldn't help but want to know everything about them! After all, they are now my BBFs - Best Book Friends! wink This is the second book I have read of Lashell's and I am oh so very addicted! I ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY LOVE her writing style, for lack of a better word! I can't help but keep reading and reading until there isn't any more to read! Lashell is certainly one FURTASTICALLY talented author who knows how to take a popular creature - the werewolf - and make it all her own! I may have been BITTEN by Lashell Collins, but she was BORN to be the Alpha! To be MY Alpha! This little Bad Boy is proof of that!! wink

One of my newest favorite books by Lashell Collins! A definite 5 Star read across the charts!
Mystery, greed, pain, love, are some of the emotions felt throughout this story.

Trevor Dare, a widow, an a multi millionaire, engineering a robotics lab for the local hospital. His money and position a perfect target.
His wife Jenny taken from him in a very cruel manner, causing the man so much pain, he will never think he can be happy again. Once with a pack , he takes off for good, not wanting to be a part of this strange new world.

Melissa Cartwright, a serious police detective, she does everything by the book, and never cuts corners.
Vicious murders begin taking place , there hearts all ripped out.. by an animal? How else can anyone explain the claw marks?
Melissa and her partner are assigned to the case, not sure where to even begin.
At the hospital for the introduction of the lab, Melissa catches Trevor's eyes. The two can't seem to keep there eyes off each other. Trevor introduces himself, but the introduction is cut short.
Even only just meeting there's a slight pull that can't be explained, but as Melissa, and her partner ( that also has interest in Melissa) finds Trevor's card in the victims pocket, it causes Melissa to meet with Trevor again, under totally different circumstances.
As more deaths loom around the city, suspicions revolve around Trevor , and his father in law. Humbre .
After the word "Rouge" comes up in a meeting with Humbre, he orders his men to clean it up. Noone needs the cops snooping around.
That's when she sees it for herself, Trevor, the sexy man that she feels power towards , now a beast . Scared out of her wits, she can't seem to let him go.She wants to do right with her badge , but would anyone believe her? Would she become the laughing stalk of the department?

As time moves on, she finds out werewolves do exist, and she's the fated mate. Jace, a shifter from another pack, also Jenny's ex, makes an uninvited visit, and everything hits the fan. All Trevor's answers, about his wife are right in front of him, or are they? Now he faces more questions than ever. The underestimated wolf bitten beneath a rouge moon. Legends do exist, its proven...

This does end with a cliffhanger, as it's book 1 in this brand new series. Definitely worth the wait once you read it! Highly recommended by Alpha Loving Erotic Book Beauty Blogger

Rogue Moon is book 1 in Lashell Collins new series Bad Boy Alpha's. This is a fast paced, instantly draws you in, suspense filled page turner of a read that I could not put down.

Trevor Dare is a werewolf haunted by memories of a life viciously ripped away from him, all for the sake of another man’s greed. They killed the woman he loved, and in so doing they unleashed a fury much too hot to ever be contained. It’s not the life Trevor signed up for when he fell in love and was willingly bitten. They made him what he has become … a killing machine.

Melissa Cartwright is a detective on a mission to get to the bottom of the strange, animal-like executions occurring around the city. But when the blood trail leads back to Dare Enterprises, Melissa stumbles onto a world she never dreamed existed. Could the sexy-as-sin billionaire CEO really be behind the murders?

Trevor knows he should do all he can to throw the nosey detective off his trail, but there’s just one problem. He knew the instant he smelled her that the beautiful detective is his mate...

Take a bow Ms Collins what an absolutely phenomenal author you are! I don’t think I have ever read as many different genres by the same author that can successfully capture each particular forte of said genre. Will literally read anything you publish without even bothering to read the reviews in future!

Told through dual narrative of the main characters, the story flowed with ease, characters had personality and depth and overall was a great read. I can't wait for book two in the series. Would highly recommend to readers who enjoy paranormal/werewolf books.

I’ve read Ms. Collins’ Kelly family series and the Jagged Ivory series and loved each story and the characters. She never fails to write well developed characters and manages to interweave sweet, sexy, heartbreaking, angst, and love into a compelling story.

I have to say that I didn’t think I would enjoy reading paranormal, shifters, werewolves, etc., but Ms. Collins’ drew me into the story from the beginning. Trevor Dare is a fascinating man, with his focus on designing new medical robotic technologies to help people. When a body is found, Detective Melissa Cartwright is on the case and believes that an animal killed the man, based on the type of injuries.

When Trevor and Melissa meet, there is a definite connection that neither understands but it draws them to each other. He can easily pick up her scent and it was eerie how he could tell when she was close. This was a quick read but oh so sexy every time Trevor and Melissa are around each other.

There are some gory details with the deaths and how initially Melissa can’t believe that Trevor would be involved. She is torn between her job and her increasing interest in Trevor. I don’t want to tell all of the details but there is love, loss, revenge, and territorial fights with mafia-type syndicates in Seattle. I became fascinated with the shifters, thinking I might like to have that ability! I was intrigued when a shifter was killed and their body shifted back to human and I could just visualize the scene. This novella was full of action, suspense, romance, murder, and some very sensual scenes. I hated for the story to end and look forward to the other books in the series.

Rogue Moon tells the story of a successful businessman, Trevor Dare, mourning the loss of his wife. What’s different about Trevor’s story is that he was recently turned into a werewolf by his late wife, and he is exacting his revenge on those who killed her in a most gruesome way. Investigating these vicious murders is detective Melissa Cartwright. She crosses paths with Trevor during her investigation, and an instant connection exists between the two. Melissa or Trevor cannot deny their attraction to the other, but can they make it work given the “unusual” circumstances in which their paths are crossing?

Rogue Moon was a good introduction to the series. I liked Trevor and Melissa’s characters, and their chemistry was undeniable. They were both intelligent, strong and motivated, and quickly came to compliment the other. Although this is a short book, we’re given enough detail about the werewolf “syndicate” and the situation Trevor finds himself in so as not to get lost. I do hope that future books are longer so we can get much more detail and background; that would be my main issue with the book, although I find it to be a small one. There was a lot of information and other characters introduced in this book that could become interesting challenges or points of consideration in future books. Reading Rogue Moon was like watching your favorite 1-hour police program, with a healthy dose of the paranormal and romance thrown in the mix. It is definitely a satisfying read, and I’m looking forward to future books in the series.

Always interesting to begin a new series to see if it will have power to keep you attached, especially in paranormal since the possibilities are out there. The title was a eye catcher for me then the tidbit on what was inside. That word rogue can lead you different ways in this genre. It starts out quickly with Trevor's declaration then were he is headed like it has to be normal. You are also introduced to Melissa who gets out with her mother and sister to a function of which the type she did not go out to often too. Interesting who man of hour is too, but she will be one who will leave him once met with a funny reaction thanks to her job. Being a detective she sees lots and deals with may things but this time I think she will have the odd one. Interesting mix here how the author will slowly reel you in because if they are a reader like me, love them detectives and mysteries add this element, I am kicked back for the ride. They will have a surprise revealed between them also in just what they mean to each other when they meet up again. It has the drama, characters filled with corruption that must be removed before the chance of any thing really lasting begin to be removed. Trevor though also isn't no ordinary Alpha but one that is even mentioned in legend if everything right time and place. This also has stamps that make this one its own allowing it to be alittle different than the offering out there.

trevor doesn't like what they made him to be, but once they murdered his wife he's out for revenge, deadly revenge!
one by one he tracks down who's responsible for her murder, but he still has to figure out who ordered the hit!
melissa gets a rough case on her hands, the victim torn up beyond belief and the heart squashed like it was nothing. one victim doesn't give much clues, but when a second shows up, a few connections start surfacing and they all lead to Dare Enterprise, run by trevor.
looking for more clues leads melissa to trevor's former father in law and it's then when things start to get tricky. melissa enters a world she never thought was real and she's getting a crash course from trevor himself. after he saves her she knows he's behind the murders and when she knows the whole story she can't really blame him. yet she also knows he can't keep on killing people, they have to find out the truth.
and she has to come to terms with her own feelings for trevor too, his declaration that she's his true mate is a huge undertaking for her.
redemption is just around the corner but it isn't an easy path to travel!

a thrilling ride with these two in this first book. it's got a nice ending to it so no cliffhangers! love to see how the rest of this world is build up.

This is a wonderful begin to a new series. We rarely have read stories about good rogue wolves and this certainly is a refreshing twist to rogues being bad.

Trevor is a very successful billionaire, but he is a bitten were, who submitted to it 2 years ago when he fell in love. After his new bride was taken from him, he leaves the pack for good thus being labeled a rogue. He learns to control his wolf and decides it's time to look for those responsible for the loss of his love.
Trevor never thought he would feel attraction for another female until he sees Melanie at a gala in his honor.

Melanie is a human detective who is assigned to a very mysterious murder, which leads her into the arms of the man she thought she'd never see again. Mr Moneybags from the gala, she was mesmerized when she saw him there and now she is again. But Trevor is connected to her case and she can't let herself be drawn to him.

Will their lives be entwined because of this case, or will their attraction bring them together, maybe both.

Also there is a story about being bitten during a Rogue Moon, which is when Trevor was turned. Is he a rogue because of his detachment from the packs, or is it something else to do with the Rogue Moon. I can't wait to read the next book and find an answer to the question.

Amazing, this book has all the elements I love in a book: Hot, rich alpha, werewolf, strong woman, cops, bad guys with no redeeming features—are they going to get theirs? This new series beginning is a page turner, the sexual tension and steam is steamy—what can I say this is a make-sure-you-have-a-fan&cold drink—steamy. While not a long read, Ms Collins has given a good character study with motivations for their actions and feelings. The story line is compelling the characters interesting and strong. I loved every aspect of this story and am so pleased it going to continue with the series. While not a cliff hanger Trevor and Melissa's story will continue.
Trevor is avenging his wife's murder, and as a werewolf—he can do it. Melissa is a detective assigned to the murders—not a good mix you say. So how can they possibly overcome this situation—even if Trevor knows what she doesn't—werewolves exist and he is one—plus she is his mate. You have to read to answer these questions.
I found only one fault with this story—it ended! Can't wait for more. If you read only one book make it this one. If you do, it won't be the only book because you will be waiting with me for more in the lives of Trevor and Melissa.

So I won a $15 amazon gift card from Lashell Collins and used it to purchase her recent release of Rogue Moon. So here is my honest opinion of this book I really did like it!

Trevor Dare is a werewolf who was bitten and by his born werewolf wife Jenny. Who was killed while on there honeymoon. That's when Trevor goes rogue and the last 3 yrs he has been waiting to get his revenge on the men who killed his wife and to find the one man that gave the orders to have her killed!

On the other hand Melissa Cartwright is a homicide detective who is opinionated and very head strong. She attends a gala at Dare Hospital where Trevor Dare CEO of Dare Enterprises is a Robotics genesis and he has a speech to tell about his technology for the new dare wing at the hospital. He see's Melissa and knows right away she is his mate!!! But Melissa is called out to a crime scene and has to leave the gala early. She and her partner are trying to find out how all the killings are connected which lead them to Trevor's door. But Melissa can only think of one thing when she see's him again and doesn't know why she feels such a strong urge to be with him!!!

I just loved this story and I really can't wait for book 2 in the series to come out and see what happens next!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I will attempt to not give any plots away when doing this review.

Well, I have to say this new Author did not disappoint me with her book. It has nice twists and turns you will not see coming till they hit. The action is well described, with a whole lot of attention given to small stuff as well as the larger stuff.

But, it does give a huge change when the mates meet at a death scene. I find it extremely hard to see the story go the way it did. At this point the story hits the area of Cinderella - fairy tale story line. Which seems to work well for this author. But was disappointing as the main lady lost some of her fire cause of it.

It seems to give a ending that is not an ending, which for me means there will be books that follow this one. But over all this is a strong 4 star book, that will not disappoint as you get to learn who the Rogue really is!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review, so here it goes...I loved it! This is my first time reading this author, but I can't wait to see what she has in store next in the series. Trevor Dare, CEO of a medical robotics company and "turned" werewolf, meets Melanie Cartwright at a hospital gala where both their parents work. It is later learned that Melanie is Detective Cartwright and she has begun investigating some strange, suspicious deaths in the city. Trevor comes up as a suspect and must divulge a few secrets of his own to make her understand, with the most important being that she is his mate. Danger lurks around the corner for Melanie however, and Trevor must step up to protect her. Both the H and h in this novel are strong, independent people, but they must learn to trust in each other and what they feel. There is a HEA of sorts at the end of this novel, but as I said earlier it will be interesting to see how she continues the story next.

I received this for a honest review. This is actually the second book I have read of Lashell Collins. She did a wonderful job on this book.

My heart broke for Trevor Dare CEO of Dare Enterprises. Yes he was wealthy and very successful but he was grieving. His was now a werewolf and his wife had been murdered. He swore revenge on those responsible.

Melissa Cartwright was a detective. There were strange murders around town she was having to solve. They were trying to determined if it was human or animal. So many unanswered questions.

Trevor knew Melissa was his mate the moment he had scented her. This was very troubling for him since he had not thought of a woman since his wife. There was like this force that was drawing the two of them together. How will Melissa feel once she finds out the truth about him. Is Trevor responsible for these murders? What happens when Melissa is in danger? Will Trevor get to her in time?

Wow, what a read this was. Cant wait for more. I read this from start to finish in one go, did not want to put it down. The beginning was a bit gruesome, yes, but we are talking Werewolves. Thoroughly enjoyed it, felt so sad for Trevor losing his love that way. But, meeting Melissa, the magic and spark between them jumped out of the pages. The story had depth, it wasn't about sex, it was about retribution, vengeance, hate, and utter sadness. You felt the draw between Trevor and Melissa, love drawing them together, there was sex in the book, but it didn't take over the story. The ending was not expected. You know there is more to come, more to their story. So looking forward to the next book, I have a feeling that their story will have a very happy ending. Looking forward to the next instalment.
