Rate this book
Mills & Boon Sweet series promises love affairs to last a lifetime…BABY BOOM

Wanted: mother and wife?

Jane didn't know who was crazier Greg Merrifield for placing the advert for a wife and mother, or herself for answering it! But as soon as she met his adorable twin babies, she knew she'd made the right decision. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for their sexy but hostile father.

Greg thought she was too sophisticated for a Texas ranch and far too desirable for his own peace of mind! But Jane was sure she'd make a perfect mother. She just needed the chance to convince Greg she'd make a great wife!

Because two's company and three's a family!

Decent mail order bride book. Extremely predictable though. In fact there were shades of Linda Howard's book Duncan's Bride throughout. It was different enough that they were not the same book but there were enough plot similarities that I kept flashing of the other book. The heroine here was a bit OTT in the way she kept begging the hero to marry her and the hero was kind of one dimensional.

Disappointed

I purchased this book based on glowing reviews. Sorry, I can't see the appeal. So many missed opportunities for humor and tenderness. The twins were used as props rather than actual characters in the book. "After they bathed the twins" or "After they fed the twins" instead of actual bath time or dinner time when these activities could have provided the opportunity for laughter and drawing the couple closer. I gave an extra star for the writing which I thought was pretty good. But sentence structure aside the book's focus on the main characters lacked and interest needed to carry the book. I started skimming and yawned at the end when the modeling business came out. I just didn't care. I guess that sums it up. I thought these "baby boom" books were specifically written to incorporate the patience and honor of child rearing with romantic love. Oops, my bad!

Beginning was pretty good but it dragged. I felt H’s attitude was realistic but h’s not so much.

This was a good story - I loved that the author showed both the male and female perspective - it showed them both fighting their attraction but eventually falling in love.
