Manny Mill was a Cuban immigrant to the USA. He lived for Manny Mill and Manny Mill only. He was a hustler, made a lot of money, was addicted to sex, treated his wife despicably, and ended up in prison. About the time he was committing the crime that ended him in prison, his mother was converted, leaving behind her practices of witchcraft and sorcery. She led both him and his dad to the Lord at the same time and that was the beginning of a new life for Manny....a life starting in prison, but also a life of being discipled while in prison. After his release from prison he went to Wheaton College, which was a real cross-cultural experience for him! He also met his wife, as his first wife had divorced him. Together they started a ministry to young believers just leaving prison.
I never heard of Manny Mill before and I will probably forget his name in a month or two. But biographies are one of my favorite genres and while the person may not be anybody famous, I find their lives inspirational and love seeing how God can change people so completely.
