Now, I feel so alone with my lonely heart, eagerly wanting to read this series for the first time once again!!! 😭 I miss the laughs so much.

Btw, the fan book!!! Lol, I thought Tiny is Oshima's kid sister!! What the f!! I was so shocked when Robico explained that they are childhood friends. Lol, I was lost for a moment!! No wonder, they call her "Tiny" because she's literally small even though they're all the same age! And here I thought it was because she's a little sister!! Anyway, I love everything about this extra edition!! The bonus chapters are such a treat—but yea, I felt so emotional with Yuzan's chapter!! And lol, Haru's father's speech at their wedding!! Wtf. I died laughing!! I swear this series is the best (and funniest) shoujo series that I have read in my entire life!!

And yes, finally! Natsume and Sasayan are endgame!! AUGH THANK YOU!! This is the most satisfying thing I got from this volume. AND THAT PART ON HARU AND SHIZUKU'S WEDDING (AFTER PARTY) WHEN NATSUME (She turned out to be a huuuge drinker in her adult days) WAS PLAYING A CHUGGING-A-DRAFT KINDA COMPETITION WITH OSHIMA, SASAYAN WAS LIKE "Don't let her drink anymore!!", and the gang was like, " Ooh, who put you in charge of her, Sasayan?" "Who made the first move?!" AND AN EMBARRASSED NATSUME WAS LIKE, "SHUT UP! I MADE THE FIRST MOVE! YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?!" LOL WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?! It's all I ever wanted, and everything else is a bonus I'm more than willing to read!

Shizuku is the most refreshing character I got to experience in a shoujo manga. Her indifference is new to me, but she never hesitates to peel off each layer of her skin and give us a piece of her mind. Her lifeless character continuously evolves towards living. I am just too tired of the shy, insecure, and weak heroines we usually get in a shoujo series (bleugh) that Shizuku's characteristics became phenomenal hit for me. And her arc development was everything, and I was actually touched when she finally reached her destination. I couldn't even wipe the smile and the tears off my face when I finally saw the pot filled with goldfish bought for her by Haru. And the way she smiled in the picture taken by her father to commemorate their new school year. Plus, the side characters are all fun to be with as well. I don't think even get to hate any single character here (Oh! I know someone! Haru and Yuzan's mother! Grr), and here I was claiming before that I only decided to read this series because I miss Nagoya—and lol because it's available on Kindle Unlimited! I never thought I would be this hooked. But yea, I think I just did become a fan today. (This part was actually meant for the previous volume which is the final volume of the original series, but I'm so lazy to edit my review and ended up putting this idea/comment here.)

The last volume in this series, this is crazy! I can't believe I am finished this series already! It was so much fun, I loved it so much. The ending was so much more satisfying than the way they ended the anime. I hope they make another season using these volumes because it is amazing. I've been thinking about reading more manga because animes don't touch up on everything that happens to the characters and I would love to find out. Since it's been awhile since I read an actual novel, I might pick up one soon! This took me out of my huge reading slump so I will try and catch up on my TBR pile, (which is huge!).

"Real friends wouldn't use you for your money. I don't have any friends, so I'm no expert, but I'd rather have no friends than have friends like them."

This is the last volume in this series, but since I don't want to spoil it for you, I'll summarize the first book. Shizuku is also known as a study bug, she studies in her free time and works hard. Haru is a guy who got into a fight on the first day of school and was suspended. He decided that he did not want to go back to school and has been avoiding it since then. Shizuku is given the job to give Haru his homework and convince him to come back to school. When these two meet, their lives change and rather than living in a dark hole, they get up and are happy.

I am going to miss these characters

Shizuku is so mature and has grown up so fast, I love the character development. Haru is a responsible adult and he is happy. Natsume is accepting others and has come to realize many things. Sasayan is open and protecting his friends. Yamaken is bold and is not afraid to say what he thinks. Iyo is seeking love as always, which is what makes the manga a lot more entertaining. Micchan is an awesome guy, I wish he doesn't put himself down and I wish we got to learn more about him. Takaya grew up so fast, and it's cool to see a little bit of his future. Ooshima is a great character, she is responsible and accepting of others.

I loved the fact that we learned more about the side characters in this volume. We got to see where everyone is in the future and who each of the characters end up with. I am very happy with the things that have happened, I loved every bit of this volume. When I was finished this volume, I felt like I learned so much.

The pacing was perfect and the story was cute. I recommend this to everyone!

I'll be off to read more manga!!!!!!

I'm giving this a 3-stars, but it's a lowballing 3 stars. This was a fun addendum to the series, but some bits were really disappointing - I'm thinking of the Sasayan x Asako story in particular. They're still super cute, but the payoff was minimal (imo). Couldn't they have at least kissed or something!?

I was also meh on Iyo's story and thought the story focusing on Takuya's (Mizutani's little brother) crush was icky (because of ).

However, despite the flaws, I did enjoy this last sendoff with these characters. This series wasn't a perfect read for me, but I loved the characters a lot! Despite that, I wouldn't recommend this last volume unless you're an uber fan of the series (or a completionist like myself.)

I really loved every single character of this series, so I should thank you Robico-sensei. You made me smile with joy. ^-^

The ending of this manga was super cliche and predictable. Two high-school lovers end up getting married and figure out their differences.
But, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. I'm happy that the author decided to write this as a sort of 'epilogue' instead of just leaving the story unfinished after volume 12.
I'm kind of sad that it's over.

DISCLAIMER: The following is my review for the entire series, not just this volume.

I watched the anime version of this story at the end of October and enjoyed it a lot. I didn't look into it more back then, but ever since I discovered the manga version a couple of days ago, I've been trying to steal a minute or more to read even a couple pages of this silly story.

The story is silly, yet sweet. It is unbelievable in its entirety and yet it's one of those sweet stories where the anime and manga version differ a bit, but end up in a way that both are pretty good and enjoyable in their own ways. There are moments in both versions where you laugh out loud like a lunatic, but there are also these silly-stupid moments where the reader wishes to bang their head on the table... and yet, for some odd reason it works for me. The sillyness and the overall theme simply do it for me and I find myself enjoying these stories over and over again.

I don't remember thinking that the anime's ending kind of lagged, but I found myself thinking that a bit with volumes 11 and 12. Some of the 13th volume seemed unnecessary, but I really, really, really liked the very last chapter with Shizuku's younger brother and kind of hoped that there had been more of this.

Sure, the story isn't all that original (which shoujo really is?), but it is fun and enjoyable.

3/5 stars for the series as a whole. tell me why this was the most CONFUSING ROMANCE STORY EVER??? like i like the concept of it but just no. i feel like the main couple took 2 steps forward and 10 steps back in every book😭 but aside from that, it was really sweet. i forgot everyone’s names, but i liked the main characters. i thought the boy would be insufferable but he was my favorite character 🥲

So the series has finally ended! ... *sigh*
I don't know what to do with my life any mooorreee!! Waaaahhh!! 。゜゜(´O`)°゜。

It was a great read! I loved the series so much I want the manga books physically present on my shelf!! \(^▽^)/

Like I said in my review for the last book, some questions are definitely answered here. What I wanted to know was what happened when Micchan's mother died? Why was Micchan returning money to Yuuzan? and Why Haru was sent to Micchan and his mother? Haru was angry that his father didn't help Micchan and his mother when they needed help but Yuuzan did help. I thought he didn't. Maybe Haru didn't know that but he comes to know about it later, right!? That is why he said that it wasn't Yuuzan's fault.
Anyway, this series was super amazing! Asako and Sasahayan's side of the story was interesting, they were definitely getting closer.

Iyo... Iyo... Iyo... she saw her destined prince in Yuuzan... but Yamaken being the older brother, he didn't like the idea of them being married or becoming a couple. LOL! But in the future, I guess they did become a couple? Iyo became an agent? and Yuuzan was running for elections? WOW!(✧∀✧)

The cutest part was when Shizuku's younger brother Takaya, falling in love with Ooshima...(´♡‿♡`) Super-duper cute!

Again, it was a great read!! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

i have been going on and on about how i like this series and they put takaya and oshima together at the end (implied, there was even a kiss, and like come on age difference would have been still somewhat palatable but why did you make her his teacher like she actually taught him!!!)
i literally hate all manga writers, they'll tell you nice stories, you'll trust them and love them and then they'll throw a teacher-student romance in your face- like is this supposed to be better because it was older woman and he also knew her before she was his teacher (they have a five year difference, she is his sister's acquaintance). and in haru and shizuku's wedding chapter too!! like there were so many good things but i was just pissed about takaya and oshima the entire time- couldn't even enjoy the revelation of natsume being the first one to make the move re her relationship with sasyan, shizuku's mom hating haru's dad's guts, haru and yamaken being somewhat friends again, mitchan crying (<3). I genuinely love the characters so much. this volume also has yuzaan's story i think (so good, love hate realtionship with shoujo's predictable tugging on my heartstrings). ugh i love these kids so much. baaaaaaaaaah time to get back to the real world. i wish life was as easy as a montage, but they persevered and so should I. That's kinda what life is about.

Oh man, my heart almost exploded from the cuteness about 50 different times while reading this one.

My only disappointment is that we get almost no closure for anyone other than our two mains. On the one hand, I totally respect this choice as it's more true to life than if everything was all wrapped up nicely with everyone having a partner. On the other hand, the extras were such a tease. Especially with Natsume and Sasyan. I was really rooting for him.

O.M.G. That wedding. I like the way Robico worked it so she could draw a fancy wedding for two characters who'd never do that for themselves. And Shizuku was absolutely gorgeous in her dress. My absolute favorite part, though, was that Haru brought Nagoya to the wedding. Come on, what other shoujo manga has a chicken (rooster, actually) in a wedding? (Seriously, if you know of one, I'll totally read it.)

I'm sad to see it end, but I'm glad that everyone is continuing to live their life in the way they want.

I was most surprised by Takaya's dedicated interest to Oshima, and I wonder about her reaction to his advances. Is it surprise/shock? Or will she give him a chance in a few years' time? (Just give it time Takaya; whether it's her or not, things will work out :P)

I will always love Yamaken through and through, but after reading this extra volume, I have strong feelings for Mitchan too. His kindness, wisdom and dedication to paying off his debt to Yuzan, before trying to find a partner. He's a great guy too. :D

These are the exact type of volumes I want at the end of most manga!!

Firstly it was alot Thicker Than The Other which I was surprised at beings the volume before could have been considered the end (its where most series end) but this one adds in a few chapters about what happened years latter to all the characters, not only that but also looked back at moments that developed we as the reader weren't given at the time all of which was fantastic

I wish all series had something like this volume!!

If I had to rate the whole series I’ll give it a lot more but the last volume was just frustrating. Of course it’s always satisfying to know more about the side characters but I would’ve loved to actually know and read more about how the two main characters evolved and arrived at the ending. It clearly needed more focus on them cause the jump was so out of the blue. It’s so frustrating to not be able to see what happened after the previous volume. All in all it was still a great moment and I enjoyed all the subplots and the happy ending of course but I can’t help but feeling frustrated.

historias EXTRAS.

as of now in 2021, i think i have read this for the 5th time already. Although, this is a first, writing a proper review as a 'somewhat an adult' aka an 18 to 19 year old so yeah, this was my reread since i had nothing to do on Valentine's Day.

to start this off, as an overall, i do still think that this story was wonderful. Robico-sensei is amazing in creating female characters in my opinion by having them have a lot of depth and troubles and how they overcome it is so mature and playful in the story, and the relationship between characters are one of the most prominent well-written part of this series.

side note, however : as of now, I am in still in craving for having the original Japanese-printed mangas (i'm still figuring out how and where to buy it though,,, the shipping price from Japan is tough ㅜㅜ) because I think the translations that I'm reading it is a bit uncomfortable and sometimes just straight up innacurate and ruined my mood when reading, especially the early chapters.

As for talking about the characters, I do think that some jokes played in the series can be taken differently according to different people since they play a lot of the 'wooing girls' jokes, the blatantly offensive things Haru says without thinking, insults characters say to each other, so I think that bummed me out a little bit in the beginning. I didn't think this series was also that short, maybe because I used to read it waiting for an update each time so well, that was a fun, agonizing time.

Haru is a great main character in my eyes. His story made me so sad, and it's true, as a reader who shares the same point of view as Mizutani (Shizuku), I do think that sometimes I just want to smack Haru's head and tell him to wake up or just, please don't make the situation worse, you know. His violent streaks made me anxious because I don't want him to make a bad impression to me years after reading it back in the day, since back then I do ... shamelessly, like bad boy characters no matter how toxic they are. I thought that he was going to be toxic, but proven me wrong, thank goodness he isn't. Shizuku is also a great character that I can relate to a little bit more than Haru, her indifferent attitude did irk me sometimes hahaha.

favorite character : Sasahara (Sasayan) because obviously, do i need anymore reason? He really grew overall as a character even though it was in the background and was only shown in one flashback how his personality was changing. Her earnest feelings are what makes him him and the nonchalantness literally still caught me off guard. ALSO ALSO, found new snippets from the mangas's 13th volume and the Fandom Wiki that it is heavily hinted that him and Natsume really did work their relationship out!!! i am so happy and relieved bcs YES SIDE COUPLE ALWAYS THE BEST

Natsume's character was also endearing, i can't help but adore her, you know. Her backstory is sad and I am really happy she's happy.

Yamaken. Now, I think i'm like one of those people that actually think Yamaken's character was really well written and very brave and mature in the series, partially because I saw a discussion post on reddit or whatever they people basically shit on his behaviour and hated him every chapter he was in :'( i mean, sure he's a second lead but literally, he had no chance on being with Shizuku and still went for it because that's just who he is. There's no way that Shizuku even be swayed because she never payed him any mind and never went on her way to see him or look for him. He hurt himself but found closure. Though, hated the fact that he didn't get more spin-offs after the ending :( he deserves love too, you know but ig his character was too minor other than being a 'rival' to both Shizuku and Haru, in different things of course.

Chizuru Oosami. She's so mature, y'all omg ... I wanted to tear up at that chapter so badly and knowing she left and was actually crying just made me feel so bad. Hope Takaya makes her happy HAHAHA also, Takaya is 100% a Mizutani. My guy is as straightforward as her and is shameless about it. nice.

Side characters such as Micchan, Yuuzan, Ando, the trio George, Maupo, and Tomio, and lastly, Iyo. I don't really know what else to say about them. I liked the chapters that they were in. The trio is lowkey horrible, in a way, don't you think? I don't know tho, what was the reason they liked to bully people in the Yamaken POV chapters. I still think about that. Aside from that, they're basically spoiled rich kids but are not jerks to people that they're friends with, lowkey good looking (all of them, yea), has crude things to say to girls especially Natsume to tease her and stuff, and just really playful people. Iyo's POV spin-off was quite nice, shows how sister-brother relationship are under the surface of all that sibling fighting. Micchan still is very mysterious to me, i really don't get him ... as for Yuuzan, didn't expect his character like that. I think, even back then, I didn't really care for him to remember what he was like. Now, though, I like him a lot more.

have I written everything i wanted to write? oh well. I'm probably gonna update this every time i reread, anyways ~

I think this was my favorite volume. If the series had been more like this throughout, it might've wound up being a keeper. Right now, though, I'm going to try to see if the books are still in the return window. I think I'm over trying to collect shoujo manga...even if I love the anime, I just get bored by the tropes when it goes on for too long.

There are some longer-form nice stories in there, though, focusing on side characters. Natsume and Sasayan's love story was oddly not as satisfying or established as I was expecting. It was nice to see more of their relationship from his point of view as he gradually fell for her, and to see their nice balance of trust and honest respect. But I don't actually feel much in the way of romantic tension there.

Iyo I finally ended up kind of liking. I was going to say she seems too vain and self-centered to be a politician's wife, but...well. Maybe not, actually. And she and Yuzun could be an oddly good couple. Mostly, though, I liked getting to know Haru's brother better, and to understand more about their childhood and what split them apart as they got older. Yuzun isn't a villain at all, and he never really stopped trying to keep Haru happy. They actually sacrificed a lot for each other, and they'll get along again as settled adults who don't have to think as much about their parents' approval.

I'm still incredibly annoyed about Mitty's mother. Is she intentionally left out of things? Why?? She is a MAJOR character from Mitty's point of view, but we just get this blissful wedding and lawyer career path and just...no resolution about the abandonment. No explanation, either, why someone as goal- and career-oriented as Mitty's mother would intentionally get pregnant while still in school, and try to settle down as a housewife with a husband who'd demonstrated no capacity for being a breadwinner.

This part of the story made no sense and the lack of any resolution is infuriating.

Wish there was more Yamaken; why didn't he get any hints of a happy ending? I like that he's clearly good friends with Mitty, though, and with Haru as well. Also interesting that when Mitty is hanging out with Natsume and describes her ideal friend outing, it's all the things she enjoyed doing with Yamaken.

I'm surprised by how sweet and interesting Mitty's brother's crush on Oshima turned out. It was visible when they were younger, with Oshima obviously not noticing at all for years, but there's a real connection with the two of them now that they've both grown up more. Oshima's still saying "sorry" for now, but who knows what will happen once Takaya's done with college. He's as stubborn and straightforward as his sister.

This was a super great closing book, with tons of great extras and bonus materials, if you're a big fan of the whole series. I don't really want to keep it on my shelf at this point, but I did enjoy reading it, and finding out how all of their stories ended. It would've been nice to have more of the story animated, and maybe fleshed out a bit more in some areas.

Analizzando i personaggi nello specifico:

Doveva far ridere? A me faceva venire i brividi.

E poi... Yamaken! Tanta roba. Ciao, piccoli mostri!
