I'm a proud born-and-bred Jersey Girl with Brooklyn roots. And I still live where it all started - I married my very own alpha male many eons ago, and have an amazing and beautiful daughter, and a teenage hockey-playing son (who charms and frustrates me at every turn). Free time is always a luxury and I spend the bulk of what time I manage to scrounge up lost in the worlds of my own making. I love to read and write hot, sexy and emotional stories about people both glamorous and not-so-glamorous. Be warned - some of my characters can even be downright un-heroic at times, which is part of what makes them so interestingly sexy, in my opinion!

On the rare occasions I'm not taking advantage of that valuable free time by writing, you can catch me poking around in my other favorite twisted historical worlds of the History Channel's Vikings, Sleepy Hollow, Knightfall and even Reign, even though those are either already over, or coming to an end (Yay for DVD's and streaming!) I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter, Highlander, Charmed (the original), and DragonBall Z! Yeah, a strange fandom medley, but each one features some of the sexiest villains ever. Did I mention I love villains? And of course, let's not forget my beloved NY Rangers.

Woah! This book is ... Woah!

Forget BDSM-clubs, dungeons and 'safe, sane and consensual'. No safeword given: this is submission Viking-Style. And I loved it!

Before her marriage with a Clanwarrior is consummated Geira is abducted by Kori. Although the husband Einnar has a minor role in the book, it is clear that Kori is a better man. But still Geira is his slave. A position that is difficult for a proud woman and daughter of a tribe-leader like her.
Despite her position in his life her passion, fierce nature and loyalty gains the affection of Kori and his family. As Geira falls for her abductor and his skillful love-making.

Placed in the 9th century this book shows both the understanding of ancient tribal-living and sizzling sex containing bondage, male dominance, spankings and brothers sharing a woman - which is all very hot!

Two and a half stars

"Norseman's Revenge" by Gianna Simone was not quite what I expected.

This story starts with the heroine, Giera, on her wedding day. This is a pre-arranged match to a man she doesn't know and whom Giera has a gut instinct is bad. As she prepares for her wedding night and the consummation that unites their tribes, Giera's new husband is slain and she is abducted. Giera learns her captor Kori's wife was raped and murdered by her now dead husband and she is now a captured slave to replace the dead woman and raise her daughter.

This book stopped working for me as inconsistencies kept dragging me back into reality and out of the story. I could have used more of a back story, planning and reveal of the titular revenge. In addition, the author sets up a historical story, but too much of the dialogue (between characters and internal) is contemporary. The third strike was the not quite kink and ménage. It felt wrong to be half in and half out; the lack of commitment felt wrong to me.

On the plus side, this book is plenty steamy as these 'enemies' scorch up the furs in bed. That and the fact I favor HEAs and plot resolutions meant I pushed to finish this one. It wouldn't take much to make this a really good story, but as it stands it was just okay for me.

Kori Thorfinnson's wife was raped and murdered while his daughter had to watch with fear that she would be next. He vows to enact his vengeance and restore his honor by killing his wife's murderer and claiming his enemies new bride as his slave.

When Geira Sorensdotter is kidnapped on her wedding night, her life takes a turn for the... better???

Though Kori has all intentions of making Geira his Ambátt/Slave in all ways, he doesn't expect the blazing passion and tenderness that she stirs in him.

Geira should hate the man that stole her, she should hate the station that he lowers her to, so why does she think less and less about escape, and more everyday about a future with Kori.

OMG, I never wanted to put this books down! I LOVED IT!! It was exciting, and hot, and actually a bit unpredictable. Totally spantastic read! Viking comes and drags the maiden away kicking and screaming and spanks her into a puddly goo of submissions! Totally a pantie dripper!!! Now I can not wait for the next book (though THANKFULLY this one does have solid closure) im excited to read what happens next!!

BUY this book!!! .99 on Amazon ATM. Thats a STEAL!! WELL WORTH IT!!

Didn't like this at all so I didn't quite finish it. If you like nothing but sex, this is for you but I need to have a true romance, these characters were so shallow no depth at all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finally a 5⭐️ read. I feel I’m overdue. ✨

Bride and a widow all in the same day…
Geira is forced to marry a man she is unsure about - much like any daughter in medieval times obeying what she is told to do.. but during the consummation of the marriage … a Viking attack happens on the castle and a Norseman seeking revenge knocks down the bedroom door and slays her new husband. Now she finds herself a slave to this feral mystery man.

✨Viking Raiders
✨Forced Into Slavery
✨Branded
✨Whipped
✨Collared
✨Owned
✨Used
✨Shared Between Brothers
✨Breeding

This entire book revolves around the slave to lover trope. It’s a sex game between master and his new slave.

The first half of this read I was worried that it was all erotica and like so many eroticas - no story. But once Geira makes it back to the viking village and is branded during a pagan ceremony as a slave with a matching slave collar to show her new position - and is shown her new homestead duties - I was 💯 more invested in the story.

And here lies the problem for me with eroticas. In a historical romance, I need a good balance between both romance and sex and historical story depth. I’m a spicy reader 💯 but I also desire yearning between man and woman emotionally - and a strong blooming romance - while also needing deep historical details of the setting, the landscape, and the workings of the medieval village. I crave that just as much as I crave the erotic spice.

Thankfully the second half of this book is better (for me) than the first portion. I loved the pagan ceremonies and sacrifices - the tending to the garden and the field - and keeping a home while preparing for winter. All these details made the story more realistic and intriguing for me.

There are several times when it’s mentioned that the FMC had slaves of her own at her birth-home before her marriage and now she is the slave in a viking village and how strange the new role (drop in station) is for her. I loved the role change of such a high born maiden and found this plot fascinating.

There is a MMF threesome scene in the first portion of the book. Which I don’t mind at all but I always find “brothers” a weird trope. Sibling sex just isn’t my cup of tea. I just wasn’t into it. So you do find the master sharing his slave with his brother in this story. Overall- I liked the brother’s character- especially with how the story ended for him. But found the sex scene idk bizarre. Again.. siblings in sex together. No thanks.

The feeding her scenes - literally spoon feeding the slave FMC every time she eats a meal - made me cringe. Not for me either. 😂

But other than that- the sex scenes are very descriptive and fun!

This author takes a Catherine Coutler approach on female friendships in the story - or maybe it’s simply the result of the harsh time period - but in this read, much like the previous viking slave romances I’ve read- this book puts an emphasis on the girls hating one another. Even Geira’s original maiden friend from her birth-home village - that is also taken as a slave - they seem to harbor bitterness and anger towards one another. I love how this side storylines played out with all the girls.

I’ve been craving a YULE winter solstice viking romance and this one was it. 🎄 There is an entire winter ceremony and I really enjoyed it. Again- I loved all the pagan ritualistic ceremonies in this book.

I LOVE the ✨unplanned pregnancy✨ trope inside HR. Unplanned pregnancy after becoming a slave to a master is just 🔥 FMC Geira struggles with loving her master but also having the common knowledge that slave babies are often ripped from their mothers hands after birth- so she feels she needs to plot her escape before he learns she’s with child.

Overall- I loved this book. 😍

I found this book frustrating because it introduced slavery specifically as a way of subjugating women. I know it was primarily used as a sex game but it had no strong emotional impact/consequence for the the characters. Towards the end I found myself rolling my eyes because everything wrapped up too easily.

Wow, so I couldn't get through much of this book. I thought it had promise when it started, but I couldn't get past the idea that this woman whose only crime was marrying the man her father told her to, was going to get punished and forced into slavery for her husband's crimes. Her husband of a matter of hours. They never even consummated. How is this guy any better? He killed her husband so it's not like he was suffering with the knowledge his new wife had been taken from him. (Although it was never actually confirmed he was dead, he could come back in the end.) It would have been one thing if he snatched her up and took her with the promise to return her to her family, but then something happens to stop that, or they fall in love. But she was taken because her husband killed this viking's wife, so for revenge he kills him and takes his wife as a slave. The only one that is getting punished here is the innocent woman. The viking who may or may not be dead didn't even know her that well. Anyway, I returned the book. There weren't any accents by the narrator either and that bothered me, especially since they all had Norse sounding names that she said with an accent.

Geira is nervously awaiting her new husband for their wedding night to begin and not sure how she feels about this new husband of hers. As he prepares to join her their village is attacked and her husband struck down and she taken captive. Kori is seeking revenge against the man who murdered his wife and takes his enemies new bride as his slave. As he gets to know her he soon realizes she is not at fault for her husband’s mistakes and begins to have feeling for her, not wanting to lose her as he did his wife. Can he bind her to him forever? Great read, lots of drama an emotional roller coaster ride. Love the chemistry between Geira and Kori very steamy. Loved it!

Well-researched, deeply romantic Viking love story!

Trigger warning: This story does not shy away from detailing culturally-appropriate animal sacrifices and realistic treatment of women slaves. It's not overdone nor callous, but folks who are sensitive to these issues should be forewarned.

I fell in love with Geira and Kori instantly. The story starts with Geira's forced marriage to a man who she feels is not as honorable as her father thinks he is, but before the night is over she's been taken by Kori, a Viking warrior from another clan whose wife was brutally murdered by Geira's new husband and whose vengeance demands that he take the villain's wife in exchange. But Kori is not a brutal man, and while he has to maintain Geira's slave status or risk having his authority challenged (and with it his ability to protect her), he seeks to win her compliance gently, through fair treatment rather than fear.

There are a lot of steamy, detailed love scenes in this book, but not very much violence. The climactic HEA was triumphant and satisfying in all respects. It's clear that the author did a lot of homework, as the many details of the Viking mythology and seasonal traditions all passed my verification efforts. The writing style was captivating throughout, and the characters were vibrant and complex. It's definitely one of the best Viking romances I've ever read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Picture it with me dear reader...

Your new husband's village is burning in the distance as you sail away with your captor. The screams of people trapped in the long house have now faded.

You're enjoying your new master's kisses because you don't have enough brain cells to think beyond your ovaries. But you still have the audacity to claim you will not submit.

*furiously snogging*

"You have fire, girl. I'll enjoy that."

"I'd rather die than let you rape me."

"It won't be rape."

She lifted her chin. "I'll not lie with you willingly."

"We shall see."

*back to face merging*

The MMC kills her husband on her wedding night and burns the village, leaving no one alive. Except for the FMC who he has taken for his slave. The MMC informs her of her husbands misdeeds (killing the MMC's wife and nearly raping his daughter) the FMC does not believe him. Her husband could not be so evil.

She is too sheltered to be believable as a viking daughter. Am I suppose to be too stupid to think there were no children in her husband's village? That no woman was raped?

FMC is more concerned with how much she enjoys her kidnapper's kisses to use her brain. Her husband despite being attractive and charming enough didn't incite any lust in her. The MMC kisses have her motor going immediately. She's only upset by his attempts to act disinterested and so she too tries to act disinterested.

Before Geira's marriage can be consummated, she's kidnapped by Kori. It's revenge for her husband's rape and murder of Kori's wife. She's to be his slave, subservient to him. Neither of them anticipated the passion that would develop. This was a great book, and not what I usually read. There was a little violence, panty-dropping love scenes, and some good old-fashioned over-the-knee discipline, but also a lot of historical information on the time period. This is my first read by this author, and will be looking for more.

Enjoyed the book. It is well written, full of action and entertaining. After a raid, Kori takes Geira as a slave and over a short period of time falls in love with her. The story tells of their sexual encounters and how their bond strengthens the longer they are together, even though her desire to escape and return home is also a part of the story. Once used to a noble lifestyle, Geira now sees the hardships that are imposed on slaves. There is HEA and that finally comes at the end of the book. It is a very good story and I would highly recommend it as a great read.

Geira is taken on her wedding night and forced to be a slave to Kori. His wife was murdered by her husband. Geira saw kori kill her husband. Throughout the trek to Kori’ lands she found herself craving his touch and falling for him. Plotting to leave in the spring her plans may be foiled. Will Geira get to leave? Will her father still be alive to come save her? Will the feelings for Kori ever become anything other than slave and master? Adventurous journey of war and love.

A captivating work.
A historical fiction that includes a bit of old fashion discipline is what is awaiting the reader. There is drama and chemistry and will give the reader an emotional ride. It is a complex story and there are parts that may be difficult for some readers. They were written well and not overdone. It is one of the best Viking romances I've read in a long time I highly recommend the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Book one in the The Norsemen Sagas series and I want to read the next book in this series. A strong storyline with a smooth flow, and it is almost like you are there watching the story unfold. I enjoyed reading Geira Sorensdotter and Kori Thorfinnson's story of suspense, murder, danger, drama, a very evil man, and romance. This was a good story but it was HEAVY on the erotic side. I didn’t realize that when I picked this up. I don’t mind some but and over and over gets to be too much for me. I did like the actual story. A lady stolen in her wedding night and made to become a slave. That is good old fashioned romance with some danger mixed in.

This is my first book by this author. I did listen to it on audio. Dahlia Lynde did a good job.

Ok Read

I gave this 3 stars because I believe the ending was rushed & that the story progression could have been drawn out a bit. I like the naughty parts to but there needs to be a good story line on how they get from point A to point B. I'm not sure if I will read more or not. I do encourage you to read one of her books and decide yourself as everyone looks for different things in books, enjoy!!!

I will admit to having a weakness for books like this. They are almost like dark chocolate for me--emphasis on dark. I found the story, um, let's go with compelling. The characters were sympathetic, and the setting was pretty detailed in a way that suggested this writer did her research. I am taking off a couple of stars for some grammar and style issues, and because of the flirtation with non-con. YMMV.

A solidly written erotic romance. Strong viking hero who conquers and takes as slave the wife of his enemy as revenge. Of course, their relationship develops into much more. Although the heroine is admirable, she quickly accepts her new role as slave a little too easily to me. It would have been much more interesting to involve a little more resistance. Overall, still an enjoyable read.

Such A Good Story!!

My first Gianna Simone book. I absolutely loved this book. Not certain aspects but I loved how Geira and Kori came to be. So happy he took E’s head. And Dota what a traitorous b*tch. I’m excited to read the next book. While I’m not about slaves, branding, punishment I love reading these stories for the Love itself! Imagination. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜

This is a surprisingly entertaining read.
The plot can be easily classified as an erotic romance with elements of light quasi-BDSM.
The historical setting works perfectly for this kind of story, as the whole plot creates some excuse for extended erotic scenes.
Very enjoyable work for admirers of this sub-genre.

Not my type of story

Enslaving women, beating women, raping women, killing women, using women as property to secure favor, and somehow by the end of the book this is normal and all is forgiven...Happily ever after.

Didn't really like it

I thought her reactions to be unbelievable. Considering the lowering of her station from chieftain daughter to slave I didn't think her reactions were believable.

A complete mixed bag.
I loved some bits but hated others 🤷🏼‍♀️
Sometime you love Kori and other times you really do t like him, and the same goes for her.

Could have done more around the daughter - but she is the main character in the next book so I s’pose that’s half makes up for it.
