Best Friend #1

Always You

Rate this book
Alexander Richmond didn't expect to spend spring break with the most beautiful female he'd ever seen when he planned to visit his buddy. She was more temptation than a week of bikini clad women on South Padre Island. There was just one major hiccup. She was only sixteen. By the end of the week, he made the decision to wait for her to grow up. Two very long years.

Calista (Cali) Delaney was shocked at her immediate reaction she had to her brother's best friend. The tall handsome Alex was too perfect. After the first week together, she fantasized what a life with him could be like.

In two years many things could happen and did, but will it stop Alex and Cali from being together?

Of Course not, but follow their love story through pain and tragedy and a whole lot of loving.

After I read this review I came to conclusion that I was never much under the influence of my emotions when I wrote this.
But it's honestly that kind of book.

description

The heroine Cali is made to suffer unimaginable pain and devastating loss.
The heroine receives a letter after her best friends death explaining that
The hero sees;
"Cali collapsed after reading Lydia’s heartache. That was why Rob couldn’t wait for Cali’s birthday. He was going to announce to everyone that he and Lydia were getting married. Fuck. This was worse than I thought."

And he is smart enough to know she needs professional help as she was
"At three months along in the pregnancy, she started going through emotional breakdowns daily. I knew part of it was the hormone changes she was going through, but losing her family only made it worse."

So she had a lot to deal with on top of the knowledge that the madman was only after her!

All the guilt on top of the survival guilt was intense.
All I can say is CM STEELE CAN WRITE.
This was a short book but it was very emotional charged. It was very real and raw!
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

4.5 REALLY SAD STARS

Boy was this sad!
I mean I am glad I read it but maybe I should have waited until I saw other reviews to read this one. I cried so hard that I had to stop reading I had a headache! Yes, I guess with all my personal loss lately reading this book was not the best idea I have ever had!

It's about a guy who meets his best friends little sister and falls hard!
I mean really hard.
He goes all out for her to be his in two years time when she is finally 18. However, tragedy hits and it hits hard.
Omg I am still crying here.
I can't believe who powerful my emotions where with very little description. "Just pulling her hair" and his eyes filled with tears was so well done that I was in tears-ville! I loved the story but I wished it was much much longer. In my opinion the author could have done so much more with this story. All the elements were there just some doors of the story were left unexplored and that's a real shame.
Still just under a 5 star read for me because I had such strong emotions about this book.

Oh geez to much death for me. I was actually sad and had tears. I didn't expect it from this book. it didn't really work for me here. I wanted pure smut not so much sadness. I would of loved to see Rob and Lydia story:(
On a good note I loved how alpha hero was and how he loved her.

safety gang safe!
both were celibate during separation.
Actually she said she had a bf for less than a week. and they only seen each in passing in the hallways at school and at lunch. She was trying to get over hero.
It didn't bother me at all.

SOOOO...ya. I don't even know what to say about this one. It was OK, but it's my least favorite by this author so far. I mean was it REALLY necessary to have it be SO depressing I'm pretty sure "I" need therapy after reading this, and let's not even get into the H/h fucking like bunnies all through the plethora of

Alexander Richmond was looking forward to hanging out with his best friend for spring break but never in his life would he anticipate meeting the girl of his dreams. However, Calista Delaney is his best friends sister and she is only sixteen. Alex leaves for two years until she is of age and then he will be back to win the heart of the woman that is meant to be his.

This had a few twists I didn't expect and was not sure about. A lot happens in this quick story but I didn't think it needed all the twists.

4 Stars!

I am beginning to become a big fan of this author. She can write romance and steam with the best of 'em out there. This book was amazing. Sexy and sweet, we get a romance that will stick with you and have your heart racing. This book was short but packed a serious punch. C.M. Steele will leave you smiling yet completely breathless.

This is Cali and Alex's story. He's her older brother's best friend. He wanted her at sixteen but she was too young. So he left. Now two years later, he is back to claim her. And when tragedy strikes her life, he makes sure to always show her love. Has she moved on? Will she welcome him back with open arms? Come along for the ride.

I highly recommend this book.

Dirty, sweet, heartbreaking

Talk about emotional roller coaster! The tension and chemistry was off the charts...I love that the hero waited to show his obsession until her 18th birthday. When they are ready for a happily ever after, things go upside down. I won't say more on that, but tissues might be a good idea.

Four stars and three wet panties.

I love reading C.M. Steele books with her OTT alphas and such. However, this one threw me a bit as I was surprised with the twist of the story when it turned sad. I was sad for Cali and then sad again for Cali's brother Rob and her best friend.

To be honest, I thought that all that this book had going for it - apart from a plot that showed potential - was really the sex scenes. As much as it pains me to say this, I thought the storytelling was sloppy and the characterisation juvenile, with emotions pinging from wall to wall and more worthy of teenagers entering the early stage of puberty than adults or young adults (especially Alex who has a penchant for roaring and behaving like an arse). Great that it wasn’t quite instant love; fantastic if it’s love at first sight; good for both characters that they’d two years apart but if there were no declarations of love or promises or contact at all between them during that time, how the hell then did they move from hostile but mutually-attracted parties to an engagement?

I simply could not get my head around how I could in any way accept Alex's brazen and beyond-Neanderthal behaviour of barging into his friend’s house and announcing her engagement to him with the added drama of announcing her family’s sudden death at the same time. That Cali accepted his sudden ‘claiming’ was equally mind-boggling.

I did think though, that there were so many more nuances to explore between Cali and Alex that the accident simply felt like unnecessary and unrealistic filler, a way of cramming drama and suspense into a story that’s already short of depth. As a result, the innumerable clichés that came out of the rushed writing flattened what could have been a poignant and steamy story that charted two characters’ growth (and growing up), their years of waiting for each other, the progress of a crush to something deeper, the build of UST…I could go on and on with this.

That everything’s summed up in a mere 83 pages not only left my jaw hanging with disbelief but also rueing that the story just didn’t feel too meaningful at all.

I am a big fan of CM Steele, I have read most of her books. She's one of a few authors that I automatically one click when a new book comes out. Alexander is a college student spending spring break with his best friend, Rob and his family. He did not expect to be so blown away by the beautiful girl that answered the door when he arrived. The girl turned out to be Rob's little sister, Calista (Cali) who is only 16 years old. Alex tells Rob that he wants her but he will wait until she is 18 to make a move. Meanwhile someone else who is very unstable also wants Cali. Alex goes to work for his father in Italy for two years because he is too tempted whenever he's around Cali. When he comes back the night before her eighteenth birthday it is just in time because something tragic has happened. This book was really sweet and romantic and definitely a little sad but I really liked it.

This book was so good I read it in one sitting. Could not put it down. It has instalove, a virgin to young, deaths, funerals, betrayal, best friends and.....
What would you do if a door opens and you find your forever? What would you do if your forever was your best friends little sister and she's to young? What would you do to protect her, would you leave? If you leave, would you come back for her? If you come back, what would you do for her?
I can't say enough about this story, without giving it away, so I'm just let me say, One-click it now.

Ms. Steele, I am so sorry this is my first time reading one of your books and now you have become my next book obsession. I need more of you in my life. Thank you for writing this story.

It had a great premise then it just went wonky.

About to graduate college H sees his best buddies 16 year old sister and instantly fall. Knowing he'll claim her once she's 18 (with his buddy's blessing) he leaves to go work in Italy for 2 years.

It could have been so good but then all this needless tragedy and melodrama was thrown in and it tainted the what a great sexy romance this could have been.

Steamy insta-love. The main characters are Alex and Cali. What can I say about these two? Cali is a temptation Alex can't handle. He must have her. He must wait for Cali to turn 18. Two years, not a big deal when forever is waiting. The day before Cali turns 18 murder and mayhem ensue. True Love will always survive distance and heartbreak. Alex will never let her go, because it was Always her

Always you!!!

I always love a CM Steele book. This one had more trama and sadness in it than other ones I’ve read. Cali was only 16 when they met but Alex knew she was the one. Leaving the country for work for the next two years until she was legal was brutal for both of them. Can they overcome the tragedy in their lives to finally get their happily ever after.
-safe read
-h is a virgin. Nothing said on H history.
-faithful during separation.
-epilogue is ok. Just a few months into the future.

I'm almost finished with the book, but dammm what a tragedy!!! Why write a book with this much heartache!! Too much drama to be able to enjoy the story!! Even though I love the concept of this book... It's just too much!!
Rob and Lydia should've had their happily ever after, and be there to support here parents death.. if it was my book...ughhh...😖😭
Won't say anymore to not spoil the book for anyone...

Always You

Oh my gosh giant believe Mark was such a psycho. In one week Cali lost her family and her best friend. Thank God Alex came back in time or he would have had Cali in his clutches. He killed his own sister, shot Cali's dad and he crashed killing everyone in the car. Alex made sure she was protected at all times.

Hum...
Nope?
This was supposed to be a quick romance read. But it was wayyyy too dark! I'm truly shocked.
And I don't even like the main characters. She acts like a child and he sounded way too caveman and not a good sexy way but in an abusive way.
So piece out, I'm out.
