Patricia Lee Gauch is an author who has written over 30 works of children's literature. In 1993, Gauch was inducted into the New Jersey Literary Hall of Fame. She has been a resident of the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, New Jersey.

The Biblical story of Noah retold by Patricia Lee Gauch and beautifully illustrated by African American artist Jonathan Green, who is one of the most important artists of the Southern experience. Jonathan Green was inspired by his Gullah upbringing to illustrate this book with a Black Noah and his family presented in a variety of African American skin colors. Although this book is out of print, good used affordable copies can be found online and are well worth obtaining.
