"I just want to lead a normal life" And he almost did.
What has surprised me in this series is how it is not afraid to hug being normal and encourages leading a peaceful life. Sometimes, the best lives are the ones without all the drama. There is not much arguments or bitter rivalry here. Instead it has a pervading sense of peace and happiness.
To the stars, you two.
god it really is such a beautifully simple ending.
I really appreciate a manga with a planned arc. The prolonged storytelling with no end in sight and no progression from volume to volume is what turned me off the format over 10 years ago but titles like this, Erased, and To Your Eternity have got me trying all sorts of series from the library.
We're more than halfway through Fuuta's past life regression and Kouka has promised a fatal final showdown when he's relived them all. But there's the interesting twist introduced here that in a previous life the constantly reincarnating enemies had made their peace. So what set the cycle back in motion?
With the introduction of Rune last volume, I was afraid this was going to take a turn towards harem territory but the fan service and 'master' references have been kept to a blissful minimum.
This series just keeps getting stronger. The past life explored in this volume was particularly interesting. If Fuuta and Kuoko already made their peace in that life, what's extended the grudge to this one? What Fortuna do that was so bad? I'm sure that all the answers are in that life, and I'm sure that it'll be the last to be explored, but if every other life is going to be this well thought out, I don't mind.
