Cree Storm lives and works in Southern New Mexico. The only thing she loves more than reading about gorgeous men and love is writing about them. Spending time with her friends and family is very important to her. When she is not writing or spending time with the love of her life you can find her watching the Oregon Mountains with a nice hot cup of coffee and her laptop or on face book with her many friends.
Timmy and his brother Wyatt have been in hiding for fifteen years since their flock was murdered. As their mother was a seer, she knew what was coming and hides them to project them during the attack. As Timmy is blind, his other senses have been enhanced.
One day during breakfast, Timmy hears two men talking about looking for a griffin. Timmy should have wanted to run, but something about one of the voices makes him hesitate.
Hephaestus was thrown out of Olympus by his mother Hera when he was born because she thought he was ugly and unperfect. Because he was so young, he did not heal correctly from the damage of when he landed in the water. He was rescued by the sea-nymph Thetis and raised with love. However even though the only thing wrong with him is a limp, he sees himself as his mother did and has low self-esteem.
When the two men meet, the pull of being mates is strong. They each have found the perfect match they need. Heph has someone who looks do not matter to, and Timmy has someone who sees him as an amazing and wonderful gift. This two were really sweet and I loved them. They each have issues but work them out together in between trying to figure out what Hera and Aries are up to now.
I really liked this addition to the series. Heph and Timmy are really pretty damn hot together. Also, they fit very well with each other. Both have had a lot of heartache and rejection in their lives that they understand each other. As the secrets of what Hera and Aries have done, they and their friends found ways to be strong and protect one another as they work to defeat the plans in motion.
I have to say I love the mates that the gods have been given. It makes no difference to them that they have mated to gods. They still find ways of getting their way. Which leads to some really funny moments. The only issue I really had was that there were some editing errors, like names in the wrong place that kind of distracted me from the story. But other than those, I really did enjoy the book.
Each book the intrigue and betrayal Hera and Aries have gone through to get what they want gets deeper and deeper. These two so need to get their asses kicked for all the deaths and pain they have caused. I can’t wait until that happens. So I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I have a new favorite in Cree Storm’s Twelve Labors series. From the moment you meet Timmy you will fall in love. He is a shifter and blind, not exactly what you would expect. Then to learn he is also a mythical griffin and you begin to wonder, just what is Ms. Storm up to. And then you get to know Timmy and find that he has a good heart with a spine of steel. He has accepted his limitations and I adore just what he has to teach not only Haphaestus but the reader as well. And speaking of Haphaetus. The title character in the sixth installment of this series has issues. He doesn’t quite see himself as he really is. His birth mother has warped his perceptions. Even though he was raised by a woman who adores him and tried to balance his birth mother’s hatred, he must fight to look beyond whatever imperfections he perceives in order to protect his mate. I loved that Ms. Storm gave us two male characters with similar flaws but how they address them is so totally different. Both are strong but in different ways and they must trust in themselves before they can have a future. I thought Haphaetus was a well written story. It was full of action and adventure even as it packed an emotional wallop. I am impatiently awaiting the next installment in this series.
Hephaestus is the son of Hera and Zeus. Upon giving birth to him, Hera throws him into the ocean and tells Zeus that the baby died. What a bitch!!! He was better off being raised by a Water Nymph.
After drawing a glowing stone, Heph goes in search for his mate. Tim is a blind Griffin. He is a seer and knows that he will find his mate. Heph thinks (because his mother keeps telling him) thinks he is ugly and that no one would ever want him. Tim is blind and thinks no one would want a blind mate. The Fates knew what they were doing to pair these two.
Together they learn that they are beautiful inside and out, all the while trying to save Tim and stop Hera's plans
With each book in the series, I fall more and more in love with it. I can't wait to see what is to come and how they will finally save Zeus.
I love this series, I have always been a fan of Greek mythology. It is great how the author interweaves the characters and keeps gving hints as to our next couple. In this novel we saw a possible new enemy behind everything. I would like to see two powerful Gods be mates we have yet to see that. On a side note in this one, our MC saw the 10inch dick, hello he is blind! Another thing, why is this the only cover in the series without the mating marks?
