Can you ever really know the man you're marrying until you've really gotten to know him? Vicki is beginning to learn just what kind of man she has married. Is the honeymoon over so quickly? It may be 73 degrees and sunny in Hawaii, but it always rains at 3:00.
Mandy Webster lives and works in Central Illinois, USA. She has two sons, two dogs, and two cats (but no affinity for the number two. That’s just a coincidence.) When she’s not writing, she works full-time as an academic advisor and spends as much time as possible in her garden – except when she can find an excuse to travel somewhere new. To track Mandy’s journeys and see pics of her travels, dogs, flowers, and books she’s reading, follow her on Instagram @mandy_raine.
Webster has a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in creative writing as well as a Master of Science in Business Management that she only occasionally uses. She also publishes under the name Amanda L Webster and operates a blog at writeontheworld.wordpress.com if you are interested in reading more of her work.
RAIN AT THREE is a thought-provoking short story with an odious but well-drawn central character and his harried wife, equally well-defined. The narrative is true to life and unsettling in a tense manner, its subtle layers hitting the reader well after completing the story.
