Sitting here still digesting but there will never be another Montana and I’m so happy to see him win. Through it all he truly won and I love that. Was it perfect, absolutely not LOL, BUTTTT he did it his way and finally is living in his truth. No more hiding behind a lie. I also understand why we reading NATS was important because the impact that book had heightened the experience of Kove and I absolutely loved that!

This was a good read. After finding out that Montana was writing a shorty. This story is bought together by the people that are around Montana. We found out what was the truth about some of the characters. I loved the story on how DeMorgan got together. I did not read the alternate ending, due to me liking that Montana is with Nicole still. I really wanted Levi to be back into Montana life, but the rest they have will always keep them apart. I have to say this part of the series was the best. Great job Desiree

It took months

It really took months to read this book, but I got threw it. It was the fact that I really just couldn’t stand Montana.. but I did ending up picking the book up the other day to finish Because I wanted to read her other stories and it wasn’t bad. Definitely not my favorite serious but it ended up not being as bad and the nats was to me the truth was better

SPEECHLESS

Wow, what a journey! I loved every single minute of it. Each book just kept getting better and better. I know I might be in the minority here, but I absolutely loved the alternate ending. Then again, I do have a soft spot for villains, so maybe that’s my dilemma. I can’t wait to dive into Bambino! Your work only gets better with time!

KOVE (Not Another Thug Story Book 4)

This was a good book. Lively characters coming of age in the south. Families against families but their children keep falling in love with one another. I guess I need to read NATS series. Fortunately, I have read about the Carter's, Freeman's, Skye sisters, etc. which made things familiar to me.

The alternate ending was more suited for the story! It brought the story full circle with clarity. The twist and turns were almost hard to see coming but I caught a couple before your reveal. Loved the journey

Soooo. It took me some time to write a review on this book for several reasons. First, I freaking fell in love w/ Desiree's work after reading For the Love of ATL. Second, all artist's (authors) are sensitive about their 'ish and like I said I love her so I didn't want to come off the wrong way when reviewing ANYTHING of her's soooo here goes.

Did Montana deserve his own book?.... Hell yeah! Was his life just as drama filled as the Carters?... Hell yeah! Is there a plot to this story?..... Shole is. Here's the but.... Sometimes a writer has to know when enough is enough. Period. I don't know what I expected out of the ending but this wasn't it. The whole story within a story thing is something readers are either going to love or hate. Sometimes there are just too damn many characters in a book! Sometimes it's OK to just let a character have a drama free happily ever after ending especially after all of their drama has blown over. (cough... Olivia) Authors are supposed to have overactive imaginations. It's clear Desiree is working w/ a mind that surpasses a 10 year old kid w/ an imaginary friend. (Trust me this is a good thing) However, this can sometimes backfire when deciding how to end a great story without the story line spiraling out of control. With allat being said..... An alternative ending...... NO BUENO!

Buuuuuut will I continue to read whatever she put out HOWEVER she sees fit to put it out (including her blog that goes against the grain of ALL of her books)?..... Hell Yeah! Like I said, I fell in love w/ Sis so now we're bosem buddies. (She just don't know it)

Only reason I gave this book 4/5 stars was the punctuation. Most times instead of using a comma or period the author used a question mark. But other than that I really enjoyed this book. As well as the Carter Boys, the Carter Girls and Not Another Thug Story. I will say I did like the alternate ending in this book. Lots of ppl seemed to not like it but I did. Even though I'm a Hazel fan I prefer to see Montana & Olivia together. I'm glad Andrew is gone and that Nicole is out of the picture ass well. I didn't like Morgan's spotty dotty, half sanctified Christian ass either. Probably cuz she was always coming for Hazel partly out of insecurity in my eyes. But it read very well. Almost like a movie. All of Desiree's books that I've read have come off like that. Or it felt like I was sitting and gossiping with a close friend. Throughout all her books I was like, "what?" "Omg!" "I can't believe this or that!" 😂😂😂

Simply Genius!

Where do I start! I loved this entire series (yes this review is including NATS) as well. KOVE was on a totally different level! My favorite scene has to be the book signing. As an author, reading your work, let's just say you nailed that part. Every page was full of detail & no question was left unanswered. Although I knew instantly that this was a book within a book. I just didn't want to hype myself up in case I was wrong lol. Amazing job! As I've said before you are in a league of your own & your craftsmanship is undeniably good! I enjoyed this series very much & can't wait to see what you plan to mind f* us with next!

I thought Montana changed...

Guess not. The book was enjoyable, but not as much as the others I have read thus far. I was hoping for that HEA for everyone especially after the way Not Another Thug Story series ended but we can't all get what we want. I will admit being disappointed in the ending AND the alternate ending of this story knowing what I know of Montana and Olivia from past books and this one how could either if them think a relationship is a good idea? SMH. I am so over these two, happily awaiting the finale of Carter Girls and hoping to have a lot more closure. Up next Bambino....

Absolutely loved the whole idea of this series... GENIUS!!!!

AUTHOR’s NOTES: If you haven’t realized it by now or still confused, you just read a story within a story within a story. Inception if you haven’t seen the movie or what they call a frame story. Look it up. Lol. I wrote a story about a character writing a story, and you guys just happened to read that story.

not going to lie

The second ending hit different and makes so much more sense from the character development side. It feels right<3 as for the rest of the story. Let’s start with NATS as a whole that shit had me so hurt because you bond with characters and want the best for them even when you see the train wreck before the crash. Man….. that shit is wild!!!! Then going into the Karma that is the effect from the cause of all the entanglements. I hope to be a writer like this one day, I’m going to send a sample to OG “identity” writer ass (if you know you know) and see what happens. If it’s still free, anyway from beginning to end, this has been a ride. Follow the breadcrumbs to get to the end of the long winding road, I’m mad I was so late to the game. I hope this review is intriguing and confusing enough to force yall to pick this shit up and read from the beginning like I did with the love of the Carter boys and girl because it’s not just another story; it’s the karma we deserve from the love we give and choose to accept.

Wow

I usually, hardly write anything bout a book I've read. Maybe did 5 reviews out of a couple hundred books. Don't get mad at me lol. I always rate them. Girl u got me from the 1st bk. NATS. I don't care what anybody say bout u. U have a gift. I never knock a writer and their skills or the story didn't interest me, I feel like u still need ur props. Did more than I could ever do.

U r a genius, I've never in my life read a story line like urs. U kept my interest. Keep doing what u do. Can't wait 2 read more. No plagiarism on ur part. Usually, like u said so many books r all the same. Story line the same. Sometimes thinking u know what's going 2 happen then u punch us n the gut with something else. I haute reading something knowing what's going 2 happen 4 u 2 go in a totaling different route. Keep going, doing ur thing f**k the hater.

Never stop. U have a gift.

I have finally completed this and I am

...traumatized. I feel as if this series drained me in the best way and all I gathered from it, okay not all I gathered, is that I do not like Montana at all. I love Desiree's mind and the way she brings these characters to life. Yes, the books are basically a telenovella but they are worth the read. I enjoyed figuring out which characters were trustworthy. I enjoyed the fact that even the reader honestly has no idea what is happening, only the characters do. The world she has created is fantastic and wonderful! I will say there were one or two inconsistencies, which may not be inconsistencies because sis is so dangerous with the pen I may have just missed something. I also still maintain the grammar and spelling were an issue but being an indie author means doing a lot of your own so I get it.

A good read although not as captivating as NATS. I enjoyed the first three books a lot more. Such a talented author, it was refreshing to read a series which is written in a totally different way than the norm. A very good read.

I choose 5 stats because this book as part of the series kind of ties all of the books together. All answers that I had while reading the previous books were answered within this book. The author has clearverly written an intricate tale which captivates from beginning to end. Even the authors notes are amusing! As an English person the accent of Rennae was quite funny. Loved the idea of a story within a story within a story. Genius!

End of lies

The truth behind the lies and Montana still is no good. I tried seeing his POV of what he did but I came up empty each time. Finding out the real truth Montana deserved more karma toward him. Koda was my fav throughout this series and I’m happy he got his happy ending. More secrets were revealed and Olivia back on my hit list! Just a waste of character. I noticed this author will describe a whole outfit from the hair down to the socks which is irrelevant to me and this book made me think of Ella Mai with her talking at the end of the book lmao I’m like is she serious talking to us lol but overall I enjoyed this series and happy Montana lies are over.

Real vs. Fiction!!

This was a perfect 10 rating to me. I'm glad I read them in order. This was a story within a story with a lot going on. You finally understood why Montana (Adrian) chose this lifestyle and his early friendship with Koda was half of the foundation. Glad a lot of relationships were somewhat mended in the end. I must say I liked the alternative ending better. It went full circle and showed his true love like what his dad had with his mom. The only way for Montana to be happy was to be like his dad. Loved it!!!!!!

Thank you Desiree

This was the most emotional irrational exuberant story. I read this drama from the beginning of the beginning and all I can say is there's a hell of a lot of characters but this series isn't short of entertainment. The slow journey that began in college for many and followed them after college being able to see their maturation and how ever they deal with situations is just so crazy bcz it's so real life. I really enjoyed this series now I'm off to the next faze whatever that may entail.

Happy reading.

Interesting

I did not enjoy this book as much as the previous three of this series. I internally debated whether or not I wanted to read the alternate ending. I opted not to, because it was clear that Olivia was his true love when his sister said that Montana keeps anything or anyone he loves a secret. Kova, in my opinion , made the previous books a joke. I feel like I wasted my time reading this series. Loved the way the author tells her stories and the creativity of her writing. I just wish I had not read this series at all lol I want to hate it but I don't

Very satisfied

I really like the book and the way the author got us here. I was so happy with the alternate ending. Olivia is the female version of Montana. I loved that they ended up together. Only problem I'm having now is what will happen when everyone finds out? I think Shiloh already knew. But Hazel will flip. As will others. But kudos. I loved that it at least ended with my favorite Carter. Olivia!

After reading all the previous books,I can honestly say that i am sad to see the story end. With this book the author did shed some light on the previous characters as far as true motives and just the truth in general. I thoroughly enjoyed Montana and Olivia's story, wishing that is was entered a bit previous. I applaud the author and her writing. I have recommended her work to several of my friends and I look forward to her future work.

What a rollercoaster

I think I was like many that started reading her books from the Carter boys, then the carter girls series. I now love her books and started reading from book one in the order they go. This book opened my eyes to a lot from the other ones and revealed to me why characters act the way they do. Yeah Montana was wrong in all he did, but who isn't living a lie somewhat. I loved this book and it taught me to always be true to yourself no matter what. #KOVE

Im going back to the beginning and reading every single one of your books and all I can say is I can’t even count how many different books or authors I’ve gone to but never fully felt satisfied until your books. These books bring a whole different side of reading pulling in a comfort zone some people wouldn’t dare step into and if they do they won’t stick with just know after these books you have a new faithful reader!!

Okay that alternate ending is not what I expected. I understand the meaning of Move now though. After everything and all the hurt caused two messed up people to be together. I like the other ending better because Andrew balances Olivia out just like Nicole does Montana. Also it could cause a rift between her and Hazel and they have become pretty close. And for me it's the first ending sorry Desiree!

I truly appreciate you as a author. You have no idea. I love everything about this series. I’m not gonna lie at first I was a little bit confused, but as I kept reading , it made sense. I agree if you have not read the books in order, you will not get it. You must read from the beginning. As I did. I’m not going to lie. I like your first ending better than the alternative ending. But regardless of the fact, I am not mad.

Desiree mind and creativity is really in a lane of its own. I’m still in awe of how this story went. The twists and turns, romance, the heartbreak, family moments or lack there of wooo… this series really takes you through there. I’m going to be screaming about the whole NATS series for the whole year. These characters are going to stay with me. Absolute 5 stars and I can’t wait to continue her catalog.

Love it!!!

I've been binge reading your books for the past couple of weeks and I'm in love with the characters and your style of writing. You're a genius, magician, and the voice that's in my head, lol. I laughed, cried and laughed some more. Please continue to bless us with your work. So looking forward for the continuation of the sky sister series!

Truly unexpected

First I would definitely say the truth is in the eyes of the beholder 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m still trying to piece together the truth and as for this story I was truly BLOWN! I prefer the alternate ending not trying to give anything away but it makes sense and the crazy love these characters displayed is something else. I am excited for this journey to continue
