Steven M. Penny, born in New Bern, North Carolina, is the author of eight #1 best-selling medical sonography textbooks. He is also the author of multiple medical journal articles, including many published in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Radiologic Technology. He has published aticles that include topics in neurosonology, pediatric sonography, abdominal imaging, obstetrics, ultrasound education, and patient care. Mr. Penny's books have helped many individuals prepare for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification examinations. Steven is currently the Lead Instructor for the Medical Sonography program at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina. He now resides in Garner, North Carolina with his wife and two children. Mr. Penny is a registered radiographer (ARRT) and sonographer (ARDMS). His specialties in sonography include Abdomen, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics.
