Dawn crushed on 4 years older Gavin since she was a little girl. On her 18th birthday she planned to tell him and offer herself to him. He had feelings for her too but he was about to be deployed and knew he couldn't start anything with her then. But when he tried to tell her the time was right for them just then she ran off then avoided him until he left (he tried to find her and tell her how he felt).

8 years later they've reconnected through their friends. Gavin is perfect, he wants her in his life and I liked how their moms were pushing for them (but not in an obnoxious way). They spend time together and grow then finally are together, then Dawn just screws the whole thing up by jumping to conclusions they running away and refusing to even tell him what happened. She just condemns him for something he didn't even do except in her imagination. It was a flimsy excuse and a big misunderstanding that was unnecessary. She thought horrible things about him and abused him to his face. Frankly she needed to get down on her knees and grovel for the rest of the book for how she acted but Gavin, being the perfect H forgave her completely. It was more than she deserved.

However, I really liked the story.

This book truly bored me. But I never leave a book unfinished, but I dreaded finishing this book. I thought it would be a page turner like the previous ones. I was completely wrong. I don’t know what happened but our dear author truly lost it with this one. THUMBS DOWN!!!!!

Another truly enjoyable book by the author in this series, she did a good job of making the characters so relatable. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

“Gavin was my absolute supporter. He never tried to take over my life, but was there for me at every step. He didn’t maneuver me around the dips and pitfalls in my path, he was there, walking next to me, holding my hand, and when needed, guiding me through them. “

That quote is the best depiction of how amazing of a person Gavin truly is. Don’t get me wrong I loved Luke and Jake and their alpha male attitudes however there is something to be said about the sweet guy next door. The story starts off 8 years ago when Dawn turns eighteen and Gavin is about to ship out again with the Marine Corps. Growing up next to each other Dawn and Gavin were really close and as with any great romance there is always the uncertainty for each others feelings which can lead to misunderstandings.

“I watched as Dawn Adams’ heart broke, right there, in front of me and there wasn’t anything I could do about it.”

Unfortunately for these two they spent 8 years apart never finding someone to make them whole until as chance would have it Dawn’s new job just so happens to be with Aurora. During a gathering at Luke and Aurora’s house Dawn and Gavin cross paths again, with their earlier misunderstanding still not being cleared up there is a lot of apprehension on Dawn’s parts. Gavin being the great guy that he is determined to make things right even if it means they will only ever be friends.

I really enjoyed the way that Anna Scott brought the two characters back together allowing them time together to catch up on the past 8 years and rebuilding their friendship and trust. This added so much depth and feeling to the book that when things were rough you really felt it along with the characters. When Gavin and Dawn finally come together there was so much passion you really feel like it is two souls connecting. Not to mention the extra “accessories” as Dawn would put it!!!

“I held her as she trembled and gasped with pleasure, it was the best thing I’d ever felt in my life. She was true, honest and absolutely beautiful.”

The great thing about this series is although you move onto a new couple you also get updates on the whole crew. You also get introduced to some new characters like Dawn’s best friend Tyler who is always there for a shoulder to cry on or to throw down if needed. Also you get a taste of Zack who is Gavin’s older brother and not the best guy. One thing I liked about this book is although there isn’t a lot of angst it still had so much to offer. I was addicted and couldn’t stop when I was reading it because I enjoyed my time with them so much. The were all around great people that you wanted them to have their HEA.

“I wanted to be Gavin McNeil’s prey, I wanted to be everything to him, to be all he ever desired, because I knew, in that moment that he would be all that for me.”

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

After reading Luke and Jake, Anna Scott had me head over heels in love with the whole gang. I look forward to every new leap into their fictional world for another scorching round with this group of friends who have been through tragedy together and are more like family. I have been eagerly anticipating learning more about Dawn and Gavin ever since the first two books. What first drew me to this deceptively sedate couple was their second chance at love. But once I experienced their explosive exchanges, misunderstandings, mystery, and their exhibitionism, then I realized how exciting they were. They are everything sweet with some spice thrown in at just the right time to seduce you and keep you enthralled in their story.

Ever since Dawn Adams was rejected by Gavin eight years ago she has shed the sweet, innocent, naive eighteen year old and replaced her with an older, sexier, and jaded version of her former self. She has recently moved back to her hometown in Texas from LA and is ready to start a new life as a buyer for Indulgence. When she crosses paths with Gavin and realizes that they have the same group of friends, the pain and attraction comes rushing back and immediately she is running from her feelings and the man who stole her heart so long ago.

Gavin McNeil may be an over protective, sexy, alpha male... but a straight laced and stuffy deputy he is not! From his pierced appendage to his penchant to surprise Dawn with sex in the most unlikely of places, I couldn't help but be curious as to what he was going to do next. Once he sees the golden haired temptress that has starred in his fantasies since he walked away from her to complete his deployment years ago, it is impossible for him to resist her and let her get away a second time.

I loved delving into the history of this enigmatic couple and watching their cat and mouse games play out. Anna Scott delivers another emotionally charged, heated love story to the redemption series that will keep you anxious to read more about this group of sexy uniformed men and the headstrong women that their hearts belong to. I love diving deeper into each one of their lives as the stories progress and watching tempers flare, sparks fly, passions ignite, and love flourish. I highly recommend for an addictive series with explosive chemistry, friendships, and intriguing story lines. I can't wait to read about Trent and experience more of these amazing characters.

I would give this book 3.5 stars. This is my first book by Anna Scott and I won an ARC copy through a giveaway contest. I was excited to get it in the mail and read it.

(Note: I haven't read book 1 or book 2 involving Luke and Jake. Because of this, I was confused at times about some parts of the back stories involving the secondary characters, but obviously because I didn't read the first two books. This did not deter me from the story.)

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I really liked Gavin and how much he cared for Dawn, but him also knowing that it wasn't right to make her wait for him while he was enlisted. What made me start to get frustrated while reading was the lack of communication between the two. Gavin really wanted to explain about why he acted the way he did eight years earlier and Dawn refused to listen. I think they should have talked it out right away because their relationship could have delved into something deeper a lot sooner. That's what I was hoping for anyway.

I'm not always a fan of first person, but that doesn't deter me from reading a book like that. Anna Scott does a great job making me forget that the book is in first person, just enjoying the story as each page turns.

Overall, besides the lack of communication between Dawn and Gavin, I enjoyed this story and how passionate their love could be. I was just hoping to see more of that.

Love Love Love this book. another fantastic story by Anna. I like how it took you from Dawn and Gavin's childhood/young adult hood and how their lives intertwined with one another. Such great chemistry and Gavin was the perfect gentleman and totally devoted to Dawn. Once I started I couldn't put it down. A few times i wanted to slap Gavin's brother Zach lol. Definitely hoping he gets his own book and finds someone of his equal to get him straightened out. Cannot wait to read Trent's book when it comes out!!!

This is the third book in the Redemption Series and it did not disappoint! I loved that the relationship between Gavin and Dawn started when they were young. Through a slew of misunderstandings and manipulations by others, they didn't find their way back to each other until adulthood. This book had it all; love, heartbreak, betrayal, and HOT, HOT sex! Don't even get me started on Gavin's piercings!! I would not only recommend this book, but the entire series. This author is defiantly a 1-click for me.

2 stars...the writing style just wasn't for me. Plus I don't really get the redemption bit...nobody needed to be Redeemed....unless it was redemption for their lack of open communication...seriously taking shit out solves all sorts of problems!

Keep in mind that just because it didn't work for me, that doesn't mean it won't work for you...my suggestion? Read an excerpt, if you can, before deciding either way.

As a read, it wasn't too bad at all. I actually enjoyed it and there was quite a few emotional situations where tears may or may not have come into play...

I am definitely going to be reading the other books in the series, it just this one caught my interests first.
