Rob Cook has a gift, he is able to break down what many would see as complex issues in your Christian walk and make them seem simple and straight forward. The best part is, he's right. It isn't God who over complicates these issues, its us, sinful, fallen men. We try to make and do things our way and it never works out how we would like. We try to make our own path rather than following God's path for our lives and that makes all of the difference.

Illumin8 sheds light on the topics than many others choose to ignore or breeze past. Cook dives in head first and break it down to easy to swallow chunks. Each day of the 8 weeks have a part of that weeks lesson and at the end of the week there is a short review.

Cook is able to use real life experiences to help illustrate the truths that he is exposing and bringing to light so that we can all walk a better walk and not just talk a good talk.

If you don't normally read devotion books you need to read Illumin8 and Regener8, both serve up the truth without bogging you down. Cook gets to the point and makes it easy to understand and to know how to apply it.

5 out of 5 Stars, if you're a Christian, you need to read this book.
