Interstellar

Rate this book

After eighteen years on the starship Omega Centauri and with the cataclysmic events of Nebula still fresh in her memory, Marie “Ree” Lindbergh has achieved a lifelong dream—to live on Earth.

Ree quickly discovers Earth is very different from the old movies she loved to watch on the Omega Centauri. She’s an unwilling celebrity on the news and snubbed by her new schoolmates. Zac, her old friend and new boyfriend, moves to Australia, leaving Ree in America to deal with her own deeply fractured family. An alarming medical discovery only adds to the tension—and sheds some light on how Ree survived the brutal environment while she was held captive.

As Ree begins to realize Earth isn’t at all like her dreams, she also finds herself drawn to Jonathan. A newcomer to her school—like Ree herself—Jonathan seems perfect. He’s cute, creative, and unlike Zac, devoted to equality between humans and the often-oppressed Bufoanthroids. He’s also harboring a life-altering secret.

The second installment in L.A. Sees’s The Nebula Trilogy, Interstellar continues to explore Ree Lindbergh’s impact on the strained relationship between earthborn humans, Bufoanthroids, and an uncertain future.

After reading Nebula, and hearing that there would be book two in this trilogy, I had to get it ASAP! I loved the first book & was hoping that this one would do the same.

I don't want to spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it - so I am going to try and make this spoiler free. If I don't, I am really very sorry :(.

Normally, the second book in a trilogy is often boring, and fills in empty space in a bad way. But this book is different. I found myself thoughly caught up in the story. Like I thought I would be. The story in Interstellar really did take it from 10 to 11. There were twists and turns along the way, and I genuinly thought it could have ruined the book (for me anyway). But it worked out, and ended up better than I could have thought. I find myself loving Zac the more I read.

I would recommend these two out of three books to anyone wanting a sci-fi read. It lives up to expectations.

Thank you, L.A Sees for another great read, the books keep getting better.

Where do I even begin?? I was fortunate enough to have received both Nebula and Interstellar at the same time, so I marathoned both books in a day. Nebula was amazing, but Interstellar really kicked it up a notch. Again, I have to praise the character development, because man is it fantastic. I really liked the places that Ree was taken to, emotionally and physically. It was so entrancing to watch how real this character became to me. I was absolutely hooked as soon as I started reading it, and I didn't put it down until I finished reading it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third book, and I cannot wait to see the trials and adventures that away my favorite group of people. I anxiously await the next installment. Do yourselves a favor, and read this series right away. You will not regret it one bit. My only disappointment is that I didn't find these books sooner.

Here I was, continuing with what was left from the previous series. I totally enjoyed how the plot broadens up. Can't wait for the third book, as well, as having a shape-shifting half-bro. Kudos from Germany.
