Hit shoujo manga-ka and high school boy Umetarou Nozaki will do just about anything to find ideas for his manga! He'll test his courage with horror games. He'll even play the role of the girl manager for a sports team! But will he get that romantic payoff at the end? Better yet, will Chiyo, whose passion spirals out of control when her beloved Nozaki is away?!
She is a Japanese manga artist known for creating The Magic Touch and Oresama Teacher which have both been serialized on the Hana to Yume magazine. Tsubaki began drawing manga in her first year of high school. She was soon selected to be in the top 10 of Hana to Yume Mangaka Course, and subsequently won the Big Challenge contest.
Um, are the friends, aside from Nozaki himself, all aware of Chiyo's crush, or not? It seems really obvious, are they just being tactful? Is Mayu extra-perceptive or just the most direct?
We have continuing stories: Waka hanging out with Seo and still not realizing she is Lorelei (apparently for actual performances the other Glee girls dress her, do her hair, and forbid her to speak); Miyako's friends mistakenly thinking Nozaki-san is her boyfriend and is mistreating her.
New stories: Mikorin starts chatting with Nozaki's brother on his Judo blog, both using female names. And there's a stand-alone with Nozaki trying to write a scary story and making Kishima and Hori come to school at night to pretend to scared.
Amo muchísimo a Waka y a Seo.
I feel like at this point I'm repeating myself in the reviews of this series (have I said even this before? I don't know and I'm not going to go check).
The book was incredibly cute, the characters were lovable, I giggled a lot because the humor was lots of fun, and the plot is...sporadic at best. There isn't much if any movement in the plot; we have cute characters in amusing characters doing zany things, just like the last books, but nothing's really changed. And if you're okay with that, then it's all good. Just be aware that this is what you're getting.
This one continues most of the stories that have already been going on through the rest of series. It introduces a character whom I am pretty sure is Seo's brother. And it also offers a couple of new stories. Overall a lot of fun, with one story that had me wheezing in laughter. And to find out at the end that there had been a Mikorin figure that I missed out on?!
I love Kashima so much you don't understand......... Ah and the relationship between Kashima and Hori-senpai just !!!! just lots of !!!!!!!! I loved the last chapter it was so cute and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I reaaaaally loved the chapter of Mayu and Mikoshiba and . Loved this so much!
Just a lot of fun, as always. Each volume of this feels even better than the last. The romantic pairings are well established by now, but not a single one is fully formed. This provides fodder for a great many comical misunderstandings and amusing asides. As always, there is a lot of fun manga-making detail. Good stuff!
Not as many laughs as the previous volume, but there was some really sweet relationship development between quite a few characters including my favorite ship!
Re-Read: January 2020 There wasn't a single bad chapter in this volume! It's rivaling volume 4 as my favorite volume.
Original Review This series is so funny. I have not laughed so hard and so consistently while reading in a while. I'm even beginning to enjoy Sakura and Nozaki's scenes, though I still think the other characters are slightly more interesting.
My favorite chapter was definitely the one where Kashima was avoiding Hori, but the chapter where Waka was helping out at the drama club was also super funny. Also the last scene in the chapter where Nozaki takes Kashima and Hori to the school at night was really adorable <3. Honestly, there wasn't a single bad chapter in this volume. Overall, it was very solid.
Komikus shojo dan huru-hara kehidupan sekitar mereka 🤭. Hidup Nozaki tampaknya melulu hanya demi plot komik.
Izumi Tsubaki did it again, this volume is hilarious and the distribution of the characters by numbers makes history very refreshing, the dynamics between Kashima and Hori-senpai and that of Seo and Wakamatsu advance in a fantastic way, the dynamics of Nozaki and Sakura progress at a snail's pace but that is the purpose of this manga, I like the way try to add little by little to Mayu Nozaki's brother because he does not feel forced and Mikoshiba has an interesting individual development.
3.5/5 These kids always make me laugh and have a good time!
I really cannot say much because the volumes are always random chapters but I love the dynamics with all the characters that have come together thanks to Nozaki’s manga.
I looooove the way Mikorin and Sakura get along, as best buddies (also that he sees her as a little sister!) and how even Mayu, Nozaki’s younger brother, has come to the picture, lol.
I want more villain-AU Waka! He looks so badass! Also more Hori-senpai x Kashima, since they look so good together, lol.
I feel like I’m repeating myself with each volume but for real, this is a comedy gem and I can’t get enough. Just trust my rating, lol.
“Yo, Mamiko’s stroking her beard again!” Chapter 52 is priceless. I love when any combination of characters plays a video game together. Hilarity always ensues.
And chapter 53 has my second favorite situation—people mistaking Nozaki and Miyako for couple. So many wrong impressions…
Why does this website not have chapter 59??? 😭
Ah, the multifaceted relationship of lover-rival-mom-pet puppy… I feel like a lot of people have that relationship with fictional characters tbh. This manga always has startling reflections on real life.
Continuing 4 panel humor comics, endearing slice of life nonsense. There are so many cute relationships in this book?? Like, I suffer knowing that the tropes of the genre mean that no one will ever get together, but it's just a really nice manga about how all these kids are friends and all the dumb stuff they do. It's nice !!
Kashima wants to be Hori's prince!!! Hori pines when Kashima is away!! These dumb baby side characters are so meaningful to me.
I hadn’t quite realized that not all the characters knew each other until Waka thought Kashima was Seo’s boyfriend 😅 But this world just got bigger with Miyako’s story! She’s such a sweet kid and gets hilariously misunderstood by her peers due to her non-answers. Hahahaha! Seo’s brother’s an interesting guy.
Chiyo and Nozaki seem to have made some progress, but they’re still as clueless as ever :P
Banyak cerita seru di volume kali ini, dna dibandingkan volume sebelumnya, beberapa bagian cerita kerasa dibagi berdasarkan plot tertentu. Mulai dari simulasi horor di sekolah saat malam hari, Chiyo yang sedih ngga ketemu Nozaki, Mikoshiba yang cari pacar palsu, Pak Maeno penentu judul cover edisi majalah mingguan, balasan email Mayu-Mayu x Mamiko, sampai Kashima yang latihan drama topik cinta bertepuk sebelah tangan. Nggak sabar sih baca cerita di volume selanjutnya.
I just love these characters, the art, and the hilarious little stories. It's all around enjoyable and doesn't require tons of commitment to read. You won't ever be confused no matter how much time passes between reading if you have a decent grasp of the main characters. The little extra about making the Mikoshiba figurine made me wish so much I could have see one.
