Only read to 9%. Dragged on and on for me. Just couldn't get interested. The book blurb sounded really good and it may get there but I have stuck with too many books lately that started this way and never got better so I've quit torturing myself to the finish.
This was a rather tame MC book compared to the majority I have read, but I must say, I really got attached to Gryff and Beth and almost hated for the book to end. The plot was solid, although the eventual guilty party came from out of the blue. (Did anyone else think that young prof was involved somehow? Or should/could have been?) Gryff and Beth are total opposites, but they do end up bringing out the best in one another and have great chemistry. Their relationship really helps Beth evolve from a shy, meek virgin to a confident young woman. Gryff turns out to be a solid guy – and sexy as He** and hot in the bedroom (kitchen, living room, up against a park bench) – and real relationship material by the end. The first part of the book revolves fairly heavily around their growing relationship and Beth’s introduction to BDSM, and it’s not really until the second half that the plot thickens as it pertains to Gryff’s hunt for the mastermind behind his MC brothers’ murders. By this point, the reader can actually see Beth taking on her own investigation to clear her dad and save him from the wrath of the MC. Beth is also stepping up her game and becoming more confident as both a person and Gryff’s love interest. Amy Love is a good writer and solid storyteller – the story flowed well, covered all the bases (no hanging threads) and kept me reading “just one more chapter” – until it was done.
I received this book as a bonus after reading another book by Amy Love and this was just as awesome as the other. Gryff Reeves was a surprising character who starts out rough around the edges and dedicated to his MC, & securing information to help his fallen brothers. As the story changes and the reader follows the twists and turns, Gryff grows into a better man. Gryff, has many layers and for each that is revealed makes him a better man. Beth, though nerdy and shy in the beginning becomes quite the blossoming flower towards the end and an even stronger character. Fast paced, action, suspense, sizzling/spicy love scenes and that warm squishy feeling makes this an awesome read.
I didn't like the book at all, I got to 20% and couldn't read it anymore, I'm not into BDSM books and the main characters annoyed me. I could punch Griff ( he annoyed me that much) and the lead female , oh what can I say! I kept screaming in my head for her to have a back bone and don't be so naive! Just because she was a virgin didn't mean she should just lay down and take it! Ughhhh. I love MC books but didn't like this one sorry.
About a guy who is a biker posing to be at the university watching the Dean thinking he's having his biker boys and killing his other biker friends. He falls for the Deans daughter while the vice is the one setting the dean up
This book was just ok, I had a hard time believing that hardcore biker guy was into bdsm. I just felt like it didn't fit with his background. Also the grammatical errors in this book were absolutely ridiculous, I got past them but they should really learn to spell check before publishing books.
This was an OK read. It started off slow but did get good. Wasn't a true MC themed book but had brief mentioning of the MC Gryff is in. Beth is a college student who Gryff attaches to while he's undercover looking for a killer.
