This book is part of a series and is not meant to be read as a standalone. It contains homosexual relations, violence and course language. The Santorno-Youngblood family has seen its share of heartbreak and violence, and a wave of new threats guarantees that it isn't going to change anytime soon. As their kids continue to come into their own as young adults, they and their friends find every decision has a consequence and some consequences can be deadly.
Stefan and Jordan find their hands full yet again as life tosses obstacle after obstacle in their path as if it were trying to set some kind of "screw you" record. The mob side of the family rears its ugly head as ghosts from the past will do anything to destroy the close-knit extended family. Stefan walks the high wire between sanity and the dark side, constantly battling his take-no-prisoners alter ego as Jordan fights to keep him steady.
The kids prove yet again that they are nor afraid to embrace the old ways of the Santorno family lineage as they protect those they love most at any cost. As new love blossoms, steady relationships are rocked to the core when trust is stretched to the limit.
When more than one of their own is hurt, the family becomes closer and more dangerous than ever. As before, what goes around comes around -- and karma is a bitch.
I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!
The men of the Youngblood/Santorno extended family are back for more drama and are dealing with the side effects of the various attacks on the different family members
Absolutely loved this book and the characters. While I did love this book, it isn't my favourite by this author. As there were aspects of cheating in several places. Though I didn't get it as I saw why it was done to put a rest to things un said.
I was never crazy about this series from the start and it just keeps getting worse. Everyone one is related some how..the world really is not that small. Setting a person up with a friend ....no problem ...instantly done!! Everything is hearts and flowers and everyone is just so in love that it is sickening. So completely unrealistic and I know it's romance but it isn't supposed to be a fairy tale. Then out of know where, one of our main couples go from intense loyalty to being in love with someone else so much that they split up. But everyone knew that he loved the other man all this time and then pow he doesn't love this man like that and goes back to the other man..now we are fiercely loyal again...and everyone knew that you love this man and you should be back together. To many stories go on at once that you never really connect with anyone. The kids just love and except everyone right from the very first second. Kids are extremely shy around strangers and do not trust instantaneously. Especially not abused child like Stefan...or a child who was abandoned by his father like Logan. And wow...Julia is a single mom with no money and just opens a daycare that is successful and used by the most protective of men. But it's all great because she winds up being the long lost daughter to the uncle Of the man who set her up with his best friend and she cares for that man's son. Completely ridiculous!!!
started reading this earlier today and put it in my I'll read it sometime folder. and I'm thinking wow there's two other people that are helping SGD this series now but apparently I was incorrect in my assumption not authors there is an editor and a illustrator this must be something new that they get a mention along with the author of said book I had it all worked out two other people are helping SGD write these books and I just don't like the way they're writing turns out it may be the editing that I'm not fond of because none of the santorno books are Keepers for for me the they seem to be moving at warp speed and although care of the children have issues that they have to work through Within if you said chapters then it moves on to someone else I guess I just am not fond of this writing style or cramming so many different characters in one book I thought that was the whole point of the series that each character or a set of characters would get their own book and it could just be a nice Meandering story not action action action on every page with very little rest before the next catastrophe I've got what's a 10% into this book and then I just laid it down I will eventually pick it up because I do read SGD but this series isn't a keeper for me like the other series that she's done and I've enjoyed reading.
2.5 rounded up to 3 because I like this author, and I'm a huge fan of the Assassin/Shifter series. I spent the first half of this book confused, and although that tends to be a normal thing for me, this book exacerbated the fact. If I didn't have a copy of the "family tree" from the A/S series, the 12 Olympians series, and the Santorno books, I would have been lost. The first half of the book was all about everyone's happiness in their relationships, the second half was full of angst, trouble, and revenge. Wonder what it says about me that I really liked the second half of the book? There was a "cheating" issue, but it didn't bother me like it usually does. The guilty parties had been best friends forever, and the episode happened due to a huge misunderstanding and wasn't "full-on" cheating. (More like drunken fooling around) I actually felt sorry for the guys--such angst-filled confusion and misplaced anger. I really want to read more by this author, but hope that there will be more Assassin/Shifter & 12 Olympian books in the future. Would love to see overlapping of the 3 series.
I am huge fan of this author. Have been since the beginning. But I've got to say these last coupe books in this series, and this one in particular, has left me feeling like I have ADD. I can't get any grasp for either a cohesive story line or a real feel for the characters. If I had not read everything including the Assassin/ Shifter series from the beginning, these relationships wouldn't make any sense at all and I totally would have given up. I feel for those people reading only the Santorno series as a stand alone. It can't make a lot of sense or be a very gratifying experience from this author, who I think is overall amazing!! This series should be done as serials. And then as part of the whole they would great.
2.5* again for this one. This is like two completely separate books, the first half is the usual sex filled update of the various pairings in this series.
Then there's some sudden dramady angst chucked in our of nowhere which causes two of the most loved up pairs to suddenly declare themselves in love with the other pair. Ridiculously overblown and chick in random assault, kidnapping and then a bloke again coming from nowhere to shoot at two of the guys and the eye rolling begins.
But, they are my crack. Even the supremely annoying grammatical errors and editing mistakes - including one where the wrong name name was used just two lines apart from describing the same person - can't put me off reading them!
Wow what another brilliant book I couldn't put it down so good read it one sitting but if you read her books it be no different. It was well written and thought out, you can feel everything the characters are going through you would think it was you who it was going through it. I would recommend reading from book 1 as all the books interlock and it be hard to understand the stories. But even better start from book 1 of her Assassin Shifters as they start to appear in their so either all of these should be in your reading list.
OMG Can these kids catch a break I mean really something bad happens in every book from being ran off the room to stabbed to being shot seriously. And Paul and Mark how their relationship went all to hell in a matter of hours. Mark did the same thing to Paul that he did to Damon no trust. And the bad things are happening not because their Santorno's but from outside sources. Glad everyone got their HEA. I hate to see what else can go wrong but with this clan anything's possible
I loved this book however, I was taken aback by the all mess with Josh,Mark,Paul and Tanner, I think it was soo off in the story and it wasn't logical that suddenly they're in love with someone else. I thought it was going to be more about danger and more about the Youngblood family.. I've noticed that the "action" is always kept for the end of the book which is a shame because its so good when its finally begin.
I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Where do i start with this book/series............... From the first book of this series 'The Medicine & The Mob' i was hooked (as i am with all Sandrine's books), but these guys are fast becoming my favorites & the Santorno series is definitely becoming my favorite of all her series of books (it helps that it feeds into my former favorite Assassin/Shifters) but seriously it's nice to see where it all began i i can't wait for the next book.
These books are like crack. There are so many characters that it takes a bit of time to settle down to all the head hopping but if you can get past it you will be fine.
I can imagine the storyline in this one not being to everyone's taste but it is only a story at the end of the day. It was good to catch up with the family and as usual there is loads of drama.
This story has humor, action, adventure, violence, kidnapping and a whole lot of loving. This is a fun entertaining read about the Youngblood and Santorno family and extended family with all of their ups and downs. Get the tissues out because it is crying time, at least for me. Enjoy I did.
I loved this book. This family keeps getting bigger and bigger. These couples are going through so many up and downs. But their love for each and trust for each other gets stronger and stronger. I can not wait for the next book. Erin
I just love her series I was hooked from the first book I have read to the newest one just released and I have to say I am never disappointed I even got my husband hooked on them.
Great book! It's a part of a series, so i strongly suggest to read from the begining so you will know whos who. Bravo to antoher fantastic book and a great add to the series. (What a roller coaster ride)
This was so so great I Loved it so much it was just as outstanding as all of Sandrines books and I can't wait to read the next one in this series or any series from Sandrine Gasq-Dion .......
Love story in epic proportion. The cast is growing and becoming The Santornos of the Assassin/Shifter series. This world is becoming a well rounded tapestry of stories.
I love this author and this series! Jordan and Stefan are the foundation of these stories and seeing the progression of their love is outstanding. Looking forward to more books about the Youngblood/Santorno clan!
Not my favorite in the series, the storyline really bothered me and seemed really unnecessary. I understand keeping things fresh and different, but it just seemed so out of the blue.
I will keep reading the series, but I hope they get better.
I loved this story. It was a a well written and beautifully executed story. I laughed and cried and loved every minute of the story. I am looking forward to what comes next.
