I came here to this book for an obvious reason - smut. But this smut and plot was so cheap and clichée. Yes I didn't really expect good plot or anything, just good smut. But no. I was disappointed.

Nathan comes across as an arrogant a**hole at first. Him and Danielle had one night together in high school, but it changed them both. After 10 years they got to have another full weekend together, but all hell broke loose. Now going to read rest of series...

I really was sucked into this very short novella about Danielle and Nathan, and how their first meeting went after 10 years of pining for each other. Danielle works for Will Abbott, Author, as his illustrator and Will is friends with Nathan. New Years Eve is the backdrop for this quick erotic romp:

I'm a sucker for those old flame love stories. I'll buy it every time, which ensures that I will get a good ratio of the sucky ones. At the start I really liked the direction this first part of this series was taking. The turning point for me was when it went from zero to sixty in a few pages. The author rushed the events and it came off as tawdry and cheap. The concept had so many possibilities, and I am disappointed because it left me with nothing to look forward or hope for.
Before the fans slam me, no I have not read other novels by Lucia Jordan but I don't need to read more than one book or part of a book to know what doesn't work for me. It's nothing personal, this just wasn't my thing.

Hot Hot Hot..... and this was only book one. What a dick move Nathan pulled involving Will to get back at Danielle. Danielle never got over Nathan even though 10 years have gone by. After overhearing the conversation where Nathan is telling Will what he had done, Danielle escapes... not before face palming Nathan..... seriously I would have done more damage. She refuses to have anything to do with him. So what does he do? Manipulates a contract so she'll come to work for him.
That's where book one ends.... can't wait to read the rest of the series and seriously hope Nathan gets his shit straight. Asshat. Nice work Lucia... great story.

It's a very decent book. Only 34 pages, yet the author still manage to create an interesting storyline.
However, I personally really loathe when the female of the story is called a slut. I hate it. It doesn't work for me.
But overall I enjoyed it.

So why do woman get bits and pieces of conversations and then run out with getting the whole story. nothing irks me more. I'm going to at least put the two participants in the conversation in the same room and let them squirm under my intense scrutiny. especially if I've been longing for someone for over 10 years. just saying. good book excited to see what happens next

I enjoyed where this book is heading!! Nathan and Danielle are interesting characters, flawed, but aren't we all. A typical fast paced Lucia Jordon read. I look forward to seeing how this relationship works out!!

I came across this when scrolling for new books to read and I must say it was the best thing. This was hot! It's not all about sex, there is so much more to it. I loved the characters in it. I can't wait to read the rest!
