She can hear, but can't talk.

The moment a customer steps into the Blue Room at Red Light, sex is the only thing on Madison's mind. Men prefer a meek, obedient, silent woman to entertain them for money. Her muteness makes her the most popular prostitute at the illegal bordello in Federal, Idaho. But at the end of her work day, Madison's curiosity to know more about the man who spends his time keeping her company in the darkness outside the Blue Room consumes her until desire overcomes necessity.

At the right place. At the right time.

Bear has nothing to offer any woman. A felon and a member of Moroad Motorcycle Club, he takes what is at his disposal—women, cash, parties—and never thinks about tomorrow. Until he witnesses Madison's smile and suddenly tomorrow matters. Determined to show Madison what she does for a living doesn't define her, he refuses to walk away.

Very Mild Spoilers

This was a waste of my time and money..

The two stars ✨ is because I did like the Hero, Bear, aka-Brett Dawson (Great name).. But I didn't like that I had a hard time placing him.. I wasn't told what color his hair was, just that it was long and unruly and to his shoulders.. didn't know what color his eyes were either.. Knew that he was very tall, very built, but with a little bit of a gut.(The gut thing wasn't revealed until around the 86% mark of the book btw)...

Same with Madison. Couldn't really place her either, so guess the cover of the book is definitely her.

Also, really was not feeling the fact that most of this couple's emotional and physical progress happens at the very end of the book.. They don't even become physically intimate until 86% in the novel. And you only get 2 red light specials with them, that were luke warm at best...

Meanwhile, I've literally lost count of how many times I saw her having sex, in detail, with men who paid her for it..🤮

Nothing against my Fancy Ladies, but this was supposed to be a love story too. And I was not given nearly enough of that, with these two, in order to believe it was real.

Madison also ticked me off ALOT with how she chose to navigate things as far as Bear was concerned. Especially when it came to her needing time to figure things out and why.. I get why she needed to to do that, I just didn't get why she didn't just tell him. Instead she chose the dramatic route, and had someone else tell him hours after she's already left. She just ups and leaves him with no explanation other than she quit her job, which was told to him by her former employer.. 😕

Then she doesn't contact him at all for the 2 weeks she's gone?!😡

THEN when she finally goes to him, instead of just texting him everything beforehand, she makes this dramatic show of locating him in person and having to go through other people, who don't really know her, and who she can't properly communicate with either. (Because she's mute) When all she had to do was text Bear and let him know she was ready to talk and see him and explain herself..

She just exhibited way too many chicken head status moves, for me to sympathize with her.

This book was just too much unnecessary drama when things are pretty simple and cut and dry..

It wasn't a very passionate tale either. At least the way that it was told wasn't..This book started off very interesting and intriguing. Just like the other book, I've read by this author, "Wrapped Around Him"
But just like that one, this lost its luster and shine very quickly..

At least I liked the Hero in this one though..🤟

But I'm not a fan of this Author's writing and story telling at all.. So I won't be reading any more of her stories.

As you've probably guessed at this point, no, I wouldn't recommend this read. ✌️

Its 4:30am on an idle Thursday. I've just finished reading this book and I am just about at a loss for words.

I know there has been some apprehension from readers leading up to this series. Rightfully so. Come on now, shes a prostitute. She sells her body to anyone that will pay. How can any man want a relationship with a woman that sleeps around? Yes. She does sell her BODY for money. Not her heart, not her soul. She is a vessel. Most people have more intimate interactions with the grocery store clerk than Madison has with her customers. They get in, they get off, they get out. Madison's job is a business transaction. And honestly, how can any man let alone an ex-con with a questionable past really pass judgement?

Now, Bear. I'll admit. I was really disappointed that Bear never got a book in the Moroad series. He was one of my favorites. Now that I have read Blow Softly, all I can say is: THANK YOU, DEBRA KAYN! Thank you for NOT giving that man his own book in Moroad! I can't imagine any other man to take a shine to our Madison (Yeah, OUR Madison. We're keeping her). The emotions that pulse through scenes with Bear and Madison will make you feel that you have a tiny kitten curled up in your chest. Bear doesn't fall in love with her body, he doesn't fall in lust over what she does for a living. He falls in love with her words (yes, I know shes mute so how can there be words...Read it, you'll see), he falls in love with the almost innocent things she does to feel close to him. You will Awwww, you will feel that mushy feeling in your belly. That is some of the magic that is wielded by this story-teller.

This is my confession: Take your misconceptions, doubts and apprehensions about the topic. Ball them up and toss them right in the trash. Come into this absolute story of LOVE with an open mind and an open heart. Seriously, you'll be better off.

Take a bow, Debra. You really nailed it this time. This might just be your best work to date.

This book is not just a love story, but a story of survival and a testament to the human spirit. It is a testament to the human spirit and what it will endure in order to adapt and overcome the hand that life deals us.
A smile can change someone’s whole world and it did.
This story for me was all about Madison. She leapt from the pages and you see her growth from page 1. She has a very clear and concise way she hands her job and the way she interacts with customers. It is very methodical and direct. There are no feelings put into her job - it is what she does to make money. It in no way defines her and who she is. Being mute, she offers her customers the option of being anyone they want her to be. It is very simple and direct.
Madison and Bear develop feelings for each other with no expectations or judgement. It is very freeing. They are free to be who they are and their past or occupation does not define their relationship. As their relationship progresses, the lines of her occupation becomes a problem for HER not Bear. Some might say well how can he let her be a prostitute? I say well how can he not let her? Madison has always had to rely on herself and Bear gave her the space and love to become who she was supposed to be and that was his woman. How many can say that they have a man who loved them enough to let them be who they are without reservation or judgment? I know I have never found that kind of love.
Bear and Madison both go through different emotions, but are very much in synch which is rare. They are both in foreign territories and each are waging an internal war, but know that what they have with each other cannot be denied.
Even mute, Madison is one of the strongest and most vocal characters, I have ever had the pleasure of reading.
As always with Moroad, once the hero decides what he wants her fate is sealed, but what I love about Debra Kayn's men are that they let the heroine come to the conclusion in her own way without forcing it. Thus, this gives us a love story greater then what we ever could have imagined.
This is two lonely hearts who never imagined or knowing they were missing their other half comes together from a smile and a whistle.
This book for me was more about Madison than Bear. She had no experience with any type of healthy relationship. While Bear is a great guy, I loved him loving her through finding herself. The spirit and resilience of Madison took my breathe away and captured my heart.
I could care less she was a prostitute or that he is a felon. Those were all secondary plotlines to the relationship that develops between them.
This is a raw and refreshing love story of two people who believed that they were ok in the life they lead and something as simple as a smile and a whistle changed it all.
Well done, Debra Kayn, you continue to amaze me and this book is easily in my top 5 favorite of your books.
This love story and that is what it truly is because it is two souls connecting on a deeper level without words, but for once actions really do speak louder than words.

The blurb for Blow Softly captured my attention and I just had to read it!! Be warned, though, the prologue had me choking back tears, wanting to SMACK Madison's mother!!!

Poor Madison endured something no child should ever go through—not having love and protection from her own mother. To think that her mother picked a worthless piece of sh*t over her own flesh and blood infuriated me!!!

Madison's past has her making certain choices that she feels will keep her safe, and give her freedom....to a certain point. As she gives her body to strangers, she makes sure to keep her heart intact—safe and locked away. That is, until Bear comes a-whistling into her life.

These two go down a dangerous path, yet Bear is up for dangerous because that means he get to see the true Madison—the one who has captured his heart. I loved seeing how true and real Madison and Bear's friend-to-lovers relationship came to be. Bear, being a loving person, made sure to convey to Madison how much she meant to him. In my eyes, I feel Bear was exactly what Madison needed to be able to believe in herself, and to see her true worth.

Yes, there is sex here, but this story was so much more than that. It was a beautiful story of loving yourself, letting go of the demons that drag you down, and allowing others to love you for who you truly are. Bear and Madison were beautifully made for each other. ~ Kara, 4.5 stars

BOOK REVIEW: Blow Softly
BOOK SERIES: Red Light: Silver Girls – Book 1
AUTHOR: Debra Kayn, Best Selling Author of the Moroad Motorcycle Club Series
RELEASE DATE: March 31, 2016

Reviewed by: Beth at Mom’s Cooking the Books Blog

Five Stars!

Blow Softly is the first book in the series of the Red Light: Silver Girls. It can be read as a standalone.

This is a very unconventional love story between a prostitute (Madison) and an ex-con (Bear) that’s part of the Moroad Motor Cycle Club in Federal, Idaho. But this is not a motor cycle club book; however, Moroad is featured in the book, Moroad characters are involved, but not the main focus.

What makes this story unique? Blow Softly is a story of the days in the life of a prostitute (Madison) that works for the Network and they have 3-month rotations between bordellos. There are strict rules and regulations, especially regarding no outside contact with people except for paying customers.

Madison, is also mute. She can hear, she just can’t speak, as her voice box was damaged and you will find out more in the book how that happens. You are in Madison’s head as she is working with her customers, so you feel there is no emotion in the sex she provides. She is there as a just a vessel. She questions herself if she will ever be able to have a normal relationship. Then one night she hears a man whistling from her balcony and it all changes.

Bear is just as his name implies, a big man with a big chest to hold his big heart. He is an ex-con Moroad biker and I fell in love with him! This tough biker with such a tender side, I could just melt. But he is no pushover and he definitely has a dangerous angry side.

The way Debra told the story of how their relationship unfolds is beautiful, and the back-story that made me angry, sad and frustrated for them. Those emotions put me on a roller coaster ride. I laughed; I felt intense longing and tenderness between characters and the self acceptance that had to happen to make them feel deserving of each other’s love.

Dear Readers, give this book a chance. Go in with no preconceived ideas; go in with an open mind and an open heart. You will fall in love with the characters and with the story. You won't regret it!

Debra this book is amazing! It is your best work yet! Thank you for a great book and I can’t wait for the other books in this series.

All I can say is that author Debra Kayn has blown me away after reading the first book in her Red Light: Silver Girls series. Wow! Blow Softly was beautifully written and I loved Bear and Madison so much. Who would have thought a tough biker from Moroad MC and a mute prostitute could be a couple? In fact, they were perfect for each other and only Debra could pull this off.

Madison is not your typical heroine in a romance book because she works as a prostitute, selling her body for sex, in order to survive in a world where she cannot speak. She remains detached of emotions as men come to seek their own pleasure using her body while she experience none. She is sweet, kind, brave and a true fighter and is lovable despite what she believes.

Bear is also not the typical hero either since he is a convicted felon and Moroad member for life, but I have to say I've always had a soft spot for him every time he appeared in all the the other books. He doesn't come across as cold or unfeeling like some of the others despite the life he's lived. He is loyal to those he consider his family and has yet to find love until now.

The unexpected relationship between Bear and Madison is quite refreshing and begins over the simplest thing...whistling. I loved how they had no problems communicating with each other and I really enjoyed those scenes. They had an immediate connection and I loved those tender moments when she'd cuddled against him or just touch his chest just to feel. They did not judge each other for their past and sex was not the basis for their relationship. The author showed two people getting to know each other on a much deeper level and with each word on the pages, I fell more in love with this couple. Their love story was simply amazing! Readers who are wary about a romance book with a prostitute should not be afraid because Debra Kayn is one brilliant storyteller.

Madison works as a prostitute at Red Light and she's the most popular among the customers because she can't talk. All they want is a quiet, willing woman to make them feel they are needed. What she does is just a way for her to make a living and nothing more, there's no emotional connection. One night she hears a man serenading her by whistling songs and she feels comfort. The man is Bear, a member of Moroad MC, who enjoys women and parties and doesn't think of the future. Then he catches a glimpse of Madison smiling and his world changes. They start communicating through text messages and form a fragile relationship. Bear knows that Madison belongs to him, he cares about her and wants to keep her forever, he's falling in love for the first time in his life. Madison has never been in love either, she feels scared and wants to prove that she can survive on her own and that she's worthy of Bear's love. Will she be able to leave her traumatic past behind and accept that she deserves to love and be loved? Blow Softly is the first book in a new series by Debra Kayn, which will be focusing on the women working for Red Light. It's an emotional read about the love of two people whose life is different from what society finds acceptable. Yet Debra Kayn has the amazing gift of making us love her characters, understand them and accept them. When I read her books I feel like the characters are real people! Her writing is unique and she evolves with every book she writes. I'm looking forward to reading more books from this author!

Wow you know you've read a great story when it makes you look at things differently.

Madison is "living" life by her own rules. But is she really living. The event that happened in Madison's past that shapes her future is heartbreaking and I want to punch her mother.

Bear is perfect. There is no other way to describe him. He's just what Madison needs. I love how he is written, it's real. Like when he talks about walking and climbing to the balcony. When you read it, you'll know what I mean. When two halves that are meant to be whole finally find each other...one has to learn to blow softly and one has to give them room to grow.

This is so much more than the story of a prostitute that finds prince charming. Get that notion right out of your head.

I think my new favorite color is....indigo blue!

I'm shocked how much this series has become one of my favorites. I honestly didn't think that I was going to like the fact that the hero and heroine fell in love while she was a prostitute but it is so much more than I expected and I'm so glad that I took a chance and read it.

I read out of order by reading the second book first..which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!! Blow Softly was just a GREAT and I fell so hard for Madison and Bear. I LOVED how Bear treated Madison. He stole my heart. *sigh* The way these two were together made them one of my favorite couples. Loved the ending. So Good!!

Blow Softly,
Book 1
Red Light: Silver Girls Series
By: Debra Kayn

I love Debra Kayn’s books and her talent for telling an amazing story. Debra can take what most would consider taboo subjects (outlaw/convicted felon bikers and prostitutes) and have you falling in love with them and cheering for them to have a “Happily Ever After” no matter how wicked they are!

Blow Softly is book one in a new series titled Red Light: Silver Girls. We were introduced to the Silver Girls in the last book in the Moroad Series: Chasing Down Changes. Through social media, Debra hinted that she would be starting a new series that was not centered on a motorcycle club. She teased and taunted us readers for months about this new series. I found myself eagerly awaiting this series and hesitate at the same time. A series about a mute prostitute finding love? How can a man fall in love with a woman who sold her body for sex several times a night? Is my world that narrow that I have a jaded opinion on the matter? I promised myself to keep an open mind, to remember who the author of this book is, to remember she has in the past, on numerous occasions, made me change my mind concerning my likes and dislikes of a character. (Yes Cam – you are the one I’m referring to! Moroad Series).

Blow Softly delivered a heartfelt story of love under extraordinary circumstances. Debra allowed the main characters in the book, Madison and Bear, to develop a friendship. Madsion did not see Bear as an outlaw/convicted felon, but as a man who wanted to spend time with her. Bear looked past Madison “career choice” to see a scared and lonely young lady who wanted to learn to whistle.

The dynamic of these two characters, their mutual respect for each other as people, not as labels, is what drew me in. I found myself rooting for them, cursing those that try to come between them, to cheering for them in the end. AND YES! Trying to learn to whistle with Bear’s help! Blow Softly is not a sappy romance, nor is it a book filled with endless sex. (Yep – a book about a prostitute that is not filled with page after page erotic scenes).

Neither Bear nor Madison have not allowed themselves to feel love, thinking they are “unlovable”. Debra allowed Bear and Madison to raise above their past, to be in the present and to look forward to building a future together. Can Madison learn to whistle, learn to trust? Does she deserve a chance to love a man like any other young girl? Does Bear take a chance to let someone in? Does he lower his walls for a chance to find love?

If you are looking for a book that does not follow the everyday normal for romance, if you are looking for a book that will make you question how we as a society label people based on their handicaps, occupations or life styles, then I highly recommend you read Blow Softly by Debra Kayn. Allow yourself to keep an open mind, to leave any preconceived labels at the door. You will think yourself later.

Well done Ms. Kayn!

Blow Softly is a Devastating Beautiful story of two broken souls mending each others broken pieces into a whole!

I honestley didn't know what to expect when Debra told me she was doing a spin off series from her MC books. I didn't think I was going to even like it especially, because she was focusing on the girls of the house whom sell sex.

I was so surprised how much I loved this book. It was BEYOND AMAZING

Madison and Bears love story is a rocky road, you don't quite understand at first but when you dive in deep you totally get why they both are the way they are.

Madison is a mute due to an injury she received when she was younger and her back story is anything, but pretty and it has a lot to do with why she sells her self, she dose not get any pleasure from the stuff she does to men who mean nothing, but she does it for a reason beyond anything anyone can imagine.

She than meets Bear who is a member of the Monrad motorcycle club, yes that is a whole other series from Debra and Bear makes several appearances. I always knew I liked him and in Blow Softly I fell in love with the big hairy man he is so easy to love. I couldn't get enough of his sweet talk.
He treats Madison differently and she slowly starts to fall for him. He has a whole back story of his own and between the two is is a steep hill they have to climb to make the relationship work.

I can tell you it all started with a whistle YES! you hears me right a whistle and from that one whistle it becomes a beautiful love story. The love story of Madison and Bear is not one for the innocent or prude it has some serious graphic stuff and some may not like it.
I on the other hand loved every bit of this story and seen a whole other side of why a women would sell her self for sex.

Debra did am incredible job with this book and it is a MUST READ

Debra Kayn has a way to tell a story that keeps me captivated. I've enjoyed her previous series that revolved around the Moroad Motorcycle Club. It was different from other MC series, and I quickly became addicted to her writing. But when she decided to steer away from the MC into a new series about the prostitutes in the bordello finding love - well, I wasn't so sure. OMG! Debra has blown me away!

Madison is mute. She can hear but she can't speak, which makes her very popular. She never gave her life much thought until she hears a stranger standing in the alley whistling. Whistling - she could do that, it didn't require her to use her voice box. So she seeks out the stranger and asks him to teach her.

Bear (I'm in love and swooning right now) is not the typical nice guy. He's a member of the Moroad MC (yes, that MC) and he's been in and out of prison more times than not, but when he catches a glimpse of Madison's smile, he goes to the alley hoping to see her again. When she "asks" him to teach her to whistle - well, he's not going to say no.

I loved the interaction between these two characters. Because she can't speak and Bear doesn't know sign language, they rely on her texting him messages. The patience they show when "speaking" to each other is beautiful; but it's the understanding and neither judging the other for their past or present. They didn't try to change each other but they made each other want to be better, which is the best way to change.

Debra won me over with this story. It was beautiful, respectful, and full of love and understand. Blow Softly is not an MC book, and it is not a prostitute book. It is a book about two lonely souls never expecting to find their one and only. 5 emotional stars!

Love this new series

Debra Kahn is probably the only author I read that can keep me hooked and engrossed in her story until I finish it. This is the best book I have read in 2016 by far, and since it is so rare in a romance book that the couple doesn't get intimate until the book is almost over and still keep you hooked throughout deserves respect. This love story isn't about these even though the heroine is a prostitute. This was a deep love story, what a great couple. I loved reading how Madison found her strength on her own throughout the book, and showing that just because you are a felon or have committed crimes does not mean you aren't capable of loving or being loved. Madison's muteness was also a great way to showcase that people with disabilities deal with problems most people don't realize, and I loved how Bear never treated her differently. I was blown away by the deep love and respect between them considering only one of them could talk, they found other ways to communicate and found a much deeper connection than most speaking people do. This author is in my top 5, I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series and it was great to catch up with moroad peeps. I would give more than 5 stars to this book if I could, excellent read.

I knew I liked Bear right off when he questioned his actions and words, "he held his phone and typed out a text. "I saved your phone. Now give me your name." "I'm a effing a***ole," he muttered, deleting the last sentence and retyping. "What's your name?" I liked that Bear was respectful, and could be a gentleman, "gotta stop, sweetheart. It's getting uncomfortable sitting here with a hard-on and knowing there's not a eff I can do about it." Bear moved her away a few inches, pulled her coat together, and growled in frustration. "I see what I'm doing to you, and I like it. Like it a lot." I really loved this book, I loved Madison she may not be able to speak but that girl is a strong woman and not a pushover.

Interesting story but the fact that she was still working as a prostitute past 65% and when genuine feelings were involved grossed me out.

I found it unusual that the hero (though he hated it) was okay with her continuing to work a a prostitute for the remainder of her contract with the brothel.

Ugh what? What kind of alpha male would ever be okay with that!? I normally am super lenient when it comes to the heroine having sex with OM but his was just gross.
I'd have preferred she ended her contract and stopped whoring to be with the hero. Or at the very least for him to have demanded she stop.

Debra Kahn knows how to make you take everything you thought you knew and rethink it....I absolutely loved Madison, Bear has been a favorite from the Moroad Series from the start, but this was, to me, Madison's story...it may not be everyone's love story, but it's definitely worth the read!!!!

Motorcycle club member meets mute girl working at a bordello. He's 20 years older than her but they both provide each other with love and comfort in needed ways. A nice, simple story that got a little tedious for me in certain places but it was a likeable read.

This author is fairly new to me, I've read a couple of her books so this one came up on my recommendation list. She's a prostitute he's a biker, ok. Wait what? That got my attention. What an amazing story. Our heroine, Madison has been abused or neglected her whole life as a result she's mute. I won't get into the rest of her story, I won't do it justice. I will say she is an incredible woman. She broke my heart more than once. Bear, the hero was the perfect match for her. He never wavered in his dedication to make her see what he saw in her. This is a story about love but more importantly about growth and discovery and acceptance of yourself and others. It's my understanding that Bear (and a few secondary characters) are from the Morad Series, I haven't read all of them yet. With that said it didn't take anything away from this book. Although you are given a view of Madison's profession it was done with taste, if that makes sense. I mention this for those who may have some triggers. For me this was an amazing book and I would recommend it. This is the first book in a three book series

Blow Softly (Red Light: Silver 👧 series Book #1)

There is lots of info about Idaho & the towns reputation of having bordellos knowingly operating in the small town of Wallace. This story was about Moroad Motorcycle Club member Bear and his attraction to Madison, a mute prostitute working at the Red Light in the Sterling building. I gave the book a 4 🌟 rating.

I enjoyed every minute I spent reading this great love story. Bear and Madison were made for each other. Weather they met under different circumstances or not, these two souls were meant to be together.

I really enjoyed their conversations and the pace at which the relationship was able to develop. They also had great sexual chemistry. Yes, there was some pretty hot scenes that had absolutely nothing to do with Madison’s job, which was quite clinical and nothing like what I was expecting to read.

I could care less about her profession as it pertains to her worth or ability to love and be loved by someone. I did not focus on that. I was more fascinated by her ability to survive her terrible circumstances and I completely understand her choice of profession and her want to provide for herself. I mean, how do you navigate in a world where you cannot speak? Just reading about a daily task and how difficult that would be was fascinating and not something I’ve ever thought about.

Debra Kayn wrote one hell of a story! Chock full of detail, great characters, care and consideration.

I did not want this book to end. After reading all of the Moroad series (and loving them all) I was so looking forward to Bear's story. After quite a bit of controversy about this book being about a prostitute, I was looking forward even more to seeing how this author would handle that scenario. Again, Ms. Kayn, did not fail to completely enchant me with an amazing love story between Bear and Madison. It's one of unfailing love, redemption and healing. It made me think, what makes a woman a prostitute? Is it love of sex, love of money, insecurities, lack of self respect? Well I found that Madison took that route because of the abuse she had suffered her whole life, while dealing with a serious handicap and being told she would never be of any worth to anyone. So she closed her feelings off and chose a path that allowed her to hide in her head. She never believed she would be worth loving until Bear came along and broke those walls down.
Bear is older and has never been in love. Yes, he's a member of the Moroad MC and he's a convicted felon. He's never wanted a woman for anything other than sex but his first glimpse of Madison and her smile started the thawing of his heart and all he wanted to do was make her smile. Even though he hates the fact she prostitutes herself he never throws it up to her. He accepts her and works towards getting her out of that situation. He's willing to sacrifice if it brings Madison happiness.
When you read the title and understand the heroine is a prostitute, you may think it pertains to a particular sex act. When you find out exactly what "blow softly" means it will warm your heart. Something so simple that Madison wanted so that she could hear some sound coming from her mouth after being mute since she was twelve. Wolf is patient and helps her blow softly until she does get her wish. There's no sex between Bear and Madison until the last of the book so the book deals mostly with the developing relationship between the two and the barriers they have to surmount to get to their happy ending. She finally gets her Indigo Blue dream. It's an amazing love story that makes you feel good.
I have to say that I continue to be amazed at how Ms. Kayn takes unique situations and writes unique characters and stories that suck me in and makes me marvel at her ability to write such deep stories with such rich characters. The books are definitely not ones that you think, "hey I've read this one before."
I can't wait for the next books in this series.

Blow Softly is amazing. Even better, it is only book one in the Red Light series. You know what that means----more books of awesomeness to come. The author, Debra Kayn, has the ability to pull me into a story. No matter how dark, no matter how unique, I am hooked from page one. The ending always brings a loss. I find myself looking for information on the next book to be released. Let the countdown clock begin for Touch Slowly.
One of the things that makes this book so wonderful is Madison. Violently injured at the age of 12 she was left unable to speak. What most people would think of debilitating, Madison uses to her advantage as a prostitute. It seems clients like the silent type.
She may not speak, but that doesn't stop her from communicating with Bear. It started with a smile that blew him away. Who would have thought Bear could go all goo goo over a smile. Just in case you don't know Bear, he is a member of Moroad MC series, where the one requirement is you must be a felon.
Bear stands outside of Silver Girls at night protecting the Moroad Women. He whistles while he works. Madison is in awe with Bear's ability to whistle. After years of no sound, she wants to have music to come from her lips. Bear is just the guy to teach her. Nights on the balcony have Madison blowing softly. Nights on a balcony have Bear falling hard. The respect he has for Madison---so fantastic. While most would look down on Madison, Bear held her up, gave her strength and acceptance . During this whole time there were just a few kisses and hugs. While working for Red Light Madison was only allowed to have sex with clients.
Blow Softly proves that you don't need a lot of hot against the wall sex to have a great book. It wasn't needed. It wasn't necessary. Madison and Bear know how to show they care.

I have one question-Where is the ten star review button? Yes! This book is that great!
I am a huge Debra Kayn fan! I have read all of her MC books and loved every single word of all of them, but when she announced that she was going to be branching out in a different direction with this new series, I was a little apprehensive. I was like really Deb? A book about prostitution? Well, let me tell you I shouldn't have worried because this book was beyond amazing!

Following a brutal attack at the tender age of twelve, Madison became mute and her world was forever changed. She now works at the Red Light in Federal, Idaho where she sells her body for money. To her, sex is just a business interaction, never an intimate experience. She spends her nights shrouded in darkness on her balcony accompanied by a whistling biker. Bear has lived his entire life on the outskirts of society. He is a felon who belongs to the notorious Moroad Motorcycle Club. Up to this point, his life has consisted of wild parties and even wilder women. He has never wanted to be tied down to one woman, but that all changes the moment he sees Madison smile for the first time.

Man, I fell hook, line, and sinker for Bear and Madison! I loved the total acceptance and lack of judgement that they felt for one another. In my opinion, this is an awesome start to what I am sure is going to be one heck of a new series! Way to go, Debra! Once again, you blew me away!

When I first finished this I couldn't believe that it was over I was shocked that it was. I couldn't get my head to wrap around what I had just read like at all. Once again I was knocked down with the writing from this amazing author. If you haven't read any of her work I suggest you do. This is a 2 person POV story, it made for a very interesting read; the one main character was mute it was very different to read that's for sure. I enjoyed my time it took me to read this story although it wasn't very long at all to read it cover to cover in fact only one day. MUST READ for sure. I can't wait to see what the next one holds. Super excited I was able to read this story by Debra and I enjoyed it the most I think. I'm craving more and having one hell of a book hangover and it's worth every word on the pages this story holds. If I was told this story was going to be this amazing I might not have believed anyone but, having read this authors work before I can honestly say it's great, and I want more!!! Of course this wont be my last time reading anything by Debra.

This is the first book in Kayn's new series Red Light Silver Girls. This story is about Madison. Madison is a beautiful woman who works for the Network and will be spending 3 months at Red Light. Madison is someone who makes money selling her body but she doesn't attach her self to what she does. She doesn't enjoy it she shuts down. Madison also has a disability that makes her even more beautiful and precious.
This story is also about Bear and member of the Alpha Sexy men of Moroad MC. I was alittle disappointed Bear didn't get his book in that series... But I am no longer upset. After reading Blow Softly this was the perfect story for Bear. He is a soft teddy bear and he is perfect for Madison. He understands her, she needs a gentle touch and Bear gives her everything.
I am not going to go into detail about the book because you have to read it. Throw all your stereotypes about prositution out the window. This is a beautiful LOVE story about two people who have done the best they could at the time to survive. This about two people looking past "what you do or what I did" and look at the beauty of eachothers souls.
DEBRA KAYN hats off to you. Thank you for making me love Bear even more and giving him an amazing story.
5 Stars!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! What a sweet sweet love story. So the main characters aren't regular joe shmoes - Bear's a felon, part of a motorcycle club. Madison's a prostitute and mute. "Sweet" would probably be the last word you'd associate with these characters but their love was just that. Sweet!!! Bravo to the author for pulling this off. It was unexpected but I was pleasantly surprised!

I LOVED Bear, and as the name implies, he's this big bad scary biker dude. But how he loved Madison!!!

"He'd handed her love, shown her kindness, let her feel wonderful emotions, and watched her peel away the layers on her own until love pumped in her heart, bare and naked, for him."

He was so patient, understanding, tender and devoted! Sigh...

"She'd gave him so little, held back a ton, and he came into her life and stuck around."

He was just perfect. Perfect for her. He saw her smile one day and wanted to be on the receiving end of that smile. *swoon...

I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship and when they finally got together, talk about fireworks!!!

Great story, wonderful characters and of course, Bear. :) Loved it all!
