Brandon Jensen was a legend. Known for his wealth and ruthlessness, he ran his company with the single-minded focus of a man possessed. Brandon had been working non-stop for nearly a decade. Even after he seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. No one saw him anymore. Not his employees or his family. But the missing persons investigation had been closed and his business continued to run like he never left. The disappearance of my stepbrother was a mystery that plagued my thoughts almost every night until a letter arrived in my mailbox. A plea for my help, signed with his initials. Even though we parted on bad terms after our last falling out, I couldn’t resist my chance to get answers. The reason behind his disappearance became clear the moment my eyes landed on his face for the first time in five years. ** Wrecked is a full-length stepbrother romance novel complete with a happy ending. Wrecked is perfect for any reader who would like a break from typical alpha males. No cheating and no cliffhanger. **
i loved this one! basically theres this stepbrother/stepsister trope here, a littleee bit of forbidden feels and some hot action going on. however, i didnt like Vanessa's actions at first as her thinking was rather simple minded. my heart was full on supporting for Brandon and he didnt disappoint! there isnt a need to worry about cheating/safety issues here and wow i would love to have a Brandon in real life lol,
nevertheless i enjoy the plot and am giving this 4.5 stars! do give it a try since its a quick read too
This book was refreshingly different. While I Love the Alpha billionaire bad bays, this one took me by complete surprise. If your looking for a good serious love story with a HEA ending, you will love this book. Very well written.
So Vanessa and Brandon had been in love with each other since they were thirteen. It was taboo, and Vanessa couldn't handle the pressure of the gross factor, so she never let him get close. Finally, he has enough and leaves her behind, never talking to her again, until he needs her after his 5 year disappearance.
The disappearance is indeed a personal choice Brandon made, and the reasons behind it are stupid, in my opinion. It makes for a good plot, but horrible realism. He's not kidnapped, or anything sinister like what I assumed before starting.
Brandon is a genius around computers, and we figure out he becomes rich by starting his own business, but we get no insight what he does.
A few errors that seemed annoying, but they weren't an overabundance.
The plot was way drawn out. I often skimmed a few paragraphs ahead and still understood everything. The ending fell flat for me, and the romance was lacking, but not unforgivably so.
This was one of the beat books I have read in a long while. I loved the characters and the story line. As heartbreaking as it seems at first there is an HEA. But what I found so gripping is the story of a lost love.
Spoiler alert... He leaves and just vanishes forgive years and suddenly he reaches out because he needs surgery and only she can be his nurse. Well they were fighting their attraction all those years before, of course they are going to wind up in bed! But its not creepy the way you would think with a step brother situation. I have to admit that I almost didn't read it for that reason alone. It's not really like that though.
When she gets mysteriously whisked away to his private island, well you will want to be her. The love that these two have is spectacular and something that everyone should be so lucky to experience. A must read this summer!
This was a great story filled with love, hurt, angst, sex (later), and strong characters. For once, a book that has people who actually talk to each other with confrontation! After The H disappeared for some 5 years, that is. The one thing I have a question about is how did the H know about the h's money issues, quitting her job, etc if he had not been watching her? That was never addressed. Anyway, this was a great book. Recommended.
While the bouncing between the present and past got annoying in the beginning, it did help explain things that happened and the whys of things. Great twist and overall a great story. Well worth the read and time.
This was a fast read. It helps when you can't put the book down because it just keeps demanding your attention! I enjoyed the fact that it had a story line unlike any other stepbrother stories I have read!
I enjoyed this romance!!! It was a good read!!! I enjoyed reading about how they were always in love and how they fell apart!!! And then a second chance at love!!
Vanessa and Brandon have been step siblings since they were 13. Ten years after a big fight they are reconnected because of a medical situation.
I can honestly say I have never read a book like this one before. Brandon was not the take charge Alpha man, he was the damaged one that needed reassurance. I am a die hard alpha man fangirl, but this book tugged at my heart strings, especially at the end when he became confident again.
If you like step-sibling romances this is definitely a must read!
