Twentysomething Leslie moves to New York after her college sweetheart husband dies of cancer. For the first year, she loses herself in writing the popular mystery series that's making her wealthy. Then her neighbors across the hall start to drag her out to do fun things -- and she decides to take them on vacation to an exclusive tropical island resort. There, she meets Conrad, a popular actor hiding out after filing for divorce, and they fall for each other -- until his not-yet-ex-wife shows up.
That's a lot of backstory for a story with little plot. In fact, I wouldn't really consider Unknown a standalone book at all. It ends abruptly, without resolving anything. It's not part of a series, but part of an ongoing story. The writing is good, but I think this should have been combined with the next book as one.

This was a quick and enjoyable read. Leslie's husband has just died. She is trying to move on in life. While on vacation she meets Conrad. He is also trying to move on but from a divorce instead. They don't get to spend a lot of time together but they both have an instant connection. Things were going good until he soon to be ex wife shows up and starts trouble. The ending is him finding her and confessing his feelings. Now I need to read the next book to see what she says and does since it was a cliffhanger.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
The story line is good, but the bad grammar skills, found me doing more editing than reading. There is so many run on sentences with the word "and" in it. One sentence had about four "ands" it. I could not finish the book, due to the poor grammar skills. This person needs to go back to grammar school or have someone do the editing before the book is published.

This book was good but it is a Cliff hanger. It is well written and doesn't fill in with a lot of useless descriptions.

This is a cute but emotional storyline. It’s written very well and you can feel the heart break. With a fantastic performance from Kylie it’s a winning combination.

Wow I just love how she writes. It's very original and entertaining. I was flipping through pages.
I also love the theme: Being a writer hiding behind a pen name she makes friends with two of her apartment neighbors and then goes on a little trip with them trying to move on from her husband's death.
"Go see the world and know that I'm with you"
And there she met one guy... and specially the one from the TV show she used to watch.
It has Fresh and very likeable characters. It's not predictable at all. At least for me, there were little twists along the way.

Just wanted to say that I first read this book 2 months ago in August just to get the read on if it was going to be OK to read the series. Well lol now I am back here in October and re-read the first book because I am starting the series. It was that good. A book to get you into your feelings of loneliness, despair, heartache, heart break, joy, love and the anguish of falling in love again and not wanting to forget your past love whom you had a wonderful life with..Lexy Timms you have surpassed the title of story telling.

I really liked this book... right up until the cliffhanger ending that lead to the ad for the second book. I was in the reading zone, I was breathlessly waiting to see what happened next and then I felt like someone took a pin to my bookworm party balloon. Frankly I feel a little betrayed.

This 's a cliffhanger. I try to never buy or borrow a cliffhanger. This one surprised me. It was good until see didn't open the door at the end.

Enjoyed this very much! I sooooooo wanted to smack her mom and her sister senseless at times. Looking forward to the next one in this series:)
