I picked it up for Free on Amazon.
I am having a hard to reviewing this book...
As it stands, this story alone, it was well done. There was a nice suspenseful build. The devil was alluring, dangerous, yet he showed a vulnerable side that leaves us thinking that in future books there will be a budding romance between the two. The heroine admits at the end that she has fallen in love with the devil himself.
What I am having a problem with (in terms of rating) is because it was the complete opposite of what I expected. I am playing a game in the group Erotica and was challenged to read a book with a Heaven or Hell character. I will start off by saying I usually avoid such characters because I like to leave religion out of my Erotic reads. I found this book in the Erotica group freebie page. At QUICK glance it looked interesting so I downloaded the freebie and set to reading. I quickly realized it was historical (also a genre I don't dabble in regularly), then after reading the book anxiously awaiting the romance to kick in...it didn't. The characters did build a little towards the possibility of a budding romance. The heroine felt the familiar flutters of being turned on by the devil, but nothing happened in this book. I am confused as to why it was a listed freebie in the Erotica group...except to think that the SERIES will be listed as paranormal romance because of future books.
I wish all the luck in the world to the author. This book was an easy, well told story, it just was not what I was expecting.
