Reborn after his experiences in the circles of hell, Cam Dunker returns as the principal of the Laura Secord Academy for Young Ladies. He faces a cruel world. His wife has left him to become a performance artist on Paris streets. His windshield wipers have become possessed by the devil and have mayhem in mind. His grade two teacher is concerned only with the mould balls growing in her nose and the little clay men her students are making. The Human Commodities Associate Superintendent has assigned a plumber to be his new kindergarten teacher. He has begun a kindergarten work experience program.

In the background, there are more and more warnings of the coming rapture. When Cam finds out there is more to rapturing than Fran had explained to him after their first year of dating, he is truly concerned.

800 years ago in East Prussia, a tiny group of people had a revelation. Adult baptism was the one truth path! They split from their Mennonite brothers/sisters and formed a breakaway group known as the Dunkards. After having been escorted from East Prussia, Switzerland, and New York, our happy little clan ended up in Waterloo, the black walnuts having shown us the way. Even for us, the breeding pool was getting somewhat small and we decided once more to allow breeding with the formerly heathen Mennonites, enabling us to expand our choices to our 2nd and, in some cases, our 3rd cousins.

I married a Scottish/Cherokee woman. My children are thankful.
