After running into a childhood crush, Mindy inherits the problem of finding a “date” for his wedding. Given the lack of time left, the task seems to be impossible. What about her secret admirer, who prefers to remain unknown? What about her friendly physician, Dr. Stenson? What if she went alone?
No one knows much about the good Dr. Andrew Stenson. No one, including his fellow shifters, knows about his past, and he’s not sharing that info with anyone. His wolf shifter side sees Mindy and thinks she may be the perfect match. But he’s not interested in a relationship, so why can’t he stop thinking about her?
A BBW Wolf Shifter Romance Second book in the Paranormal Shadows Series This book stands alone
DNF at 20% For me, this book is what I call” boiled rice”. Bland, amateurish writing, - I mean, our hero is listening to “new news”? The characters have as much personality as limp noodles. Not for me.
The writing was very amateurish and so disjointed at times that I almost stopped reading. The heroin was a wuss who had a crush on one guy and let him treat her like dirt for years. Then she meets the doctor (our hero) and all of a sudden she's with him. There is no background story on their dates, just a jump from them being at the jerks wedding (that he used all her colors and ideas for, just to mess with her) and then she and the doc have been together for a few months. WHAT? This author needs to take a creative writing course. I will definitely NOT be reading this person's stories again.
This is a nice book with lovable characters and a nice storyline. Though just a tad amateurish and quite a few typos and gramatical errors, I truly did like the story and absolutely loved the fact that this shifter story could be told so cleanly and still get the point of the story and the romance through to the reader. I would very much like to read other stories from this author.
It is important that when you put a freebie out, in order to entice people to read the rest of your books you need to make sure that the available book is well-written and well-edited. This is not. Missing words and spelling errors make it awkward to read. There is very little depth. It is a paint-by- numbers effort — the overall idea is there, with none of the depth. It is a shame because I quite liked the ideas in the plot.
Andrew and Mindy were two lost souls who were destined to meet. Both were afraid to expose their hearts for fear of being broken. There were strange things at work in the town they lived in.Mindy didn't even know her best friend was a witch. This is a great book, read it.
Loved this book. It was unique and kept me interested. It shows the dangerous side of the paranormal, but mainly the caring and fun side. That was a gorgeous wedding. ☺️ Love the HEA and that it wasn't drawn out.
Hmm, A heartthrob that turn out to be a werewolf, a normal person dragged into a world of paranormals. Somehow this isn't really new, even though it makes for OK reading on a rainy afternoon.
Good story although it did not flow well. Enjoyed the basis of the story. Pleasant but abrupt ending. Loved that it included multiple paranormal characters.
I liked the concept of this story, but unfortunately that was the only thing I liked! The writing was amateurish and some of the grammar gave the impression that the writers first language wasn't English! I read this book as someone had taken the time to write it, but I shall give the other books a miss!! Not for me, sorry!
Other than some formatting errors, this is a story about fated mates and the trials they have to overcome. Our heroine has a secret admirer, our hero and our hero has a pack that might be anti human. Throw in some protective witches and a wedding.
Mindy was a great girl. She loved a simple life and her friends kept her protected. From what, she had no clue. Jax was a thorn in her side. He was her school crush but when he crushed her heart, she was done. Her best friend Laura was pushing for her to get to know the Dr. Andrew more and more.
Andrew knew she was his mate. His wolf knew it too. He saw her at Jax's wedding and knew he couldn't let her go. They spent the entire time at the wedding together where he learn all about Jax and his craziness. The wedding was her wedding down to every last detail. She also learn of the paranormal world and finally understood a lot. They shared their deepest inner turmoil and their love bloomed.
Keeping her safe was his only mission. When danger came, he protected her with all his being. When the threat was over, they planned a very detailed future together. ❤️❤️

I downloaded Wolf Admirer as a free novella from Amazon. Lots of typos and grammatical issues in this one-- not to mention a lack of commas which make the reading difficult. Much of the dialog feels rushed so the reader doesn't have an opportunity to relate to the characters and their issues. I disliked the main characters, especially Andrew who was supposedly an alpha, yet acted like a awkward teen, lacking confident he had no real involvement or command over his pack, so he never came across as a leader. Good world-building couldn't save this immature plot, riddled with inconsistencies.
