First of all, where can i find a guy like robin? This book was so so good, i finished it in one sitting. lmfao was suppose to study but threw that out of the window. Futhermore, heck, I love all the characters. Especially Yuko & Emily and maybe a lil bit, or a lot more than a little bit heh, of Asher. Waiting for the second book to be completed kills.

I've fallen in love with Wattpad all over again and this book really helped me cement my decision in taking a break from published books and just enjoy whatever. That whatever meaning any book I please or any story on Wattpad and various platforms.
The Lonely King was a good quick read. It gave me the feels and an equal amount of laughs and swoons. The timeline is seriously whacked out but given the fact that this was first written when Shevon was something like 13 I can get over it. This is more along the lines of a realistic first love at the end. It does not paint a perfect story book picture of love. There are a lot of ups and downs and a helluva lot of heartache.

Back in 2018 I really enjoyed this book; reading it now, I see all the grammatical errors, plot holes, repetition and redundant writing. It's a promising story that needs a lot of editing, but I think it has potential.
I'm going to rate it very generously: 4 stars (should probably be 1 or 2 but my heart says 4 because Robin Clair lives rent free in my head😭🤝). This is also based on potential and the fact that I mostly enjoyed it (probably largely due to nostalgia) despite the many errors (one example: currency of a school set in France is GBP, although I think this is a continuity error as the author was planning to change the location). The rewritten version still feels like a very early and unedited draft. What works is the characters: Robin Clair is a brilliant and memorable character who I adore even after all these years, I genuinely couldn't tell you why I like him as much as I do, but he fascinates me. Alexandra is strong willed and entertaining in that way. Asher and Yuko are interesting, and Emily is sweet. There are other interesting characters as well as more 2D ones, but the story is an entertaining premise as a whole, and just really appeals to me (I love prestigious academy settings).
Note: for this reread I was only able to read up to chapter 34 (rewritten version) as the rest of the chapters are unavailable for both the original and rewritten version. I still remember the ending though, although not every detail leading up to it, and do wish I was able to finish rereading it. I remember being devasted by this book😭

I have to say I found this book a few years ago and I just can't get over the fact that it's one of the best books I've ever read. I don't know if it's the characters or the plot but everything is just so beautifully done it amazes me. I have actually had the chance to talk a little to the author, Shevvie, on Instagram a year ago and her personality is unsurprisingly great, which made me want to post a review on this book.
Apart from a few other books, I haven't ever related so much with characters or had a book make me feel teary the way this book does. Honestly, I really recommend The Lonely King and it's just a perfect autumn read for me and every now and then I go back to this just to experience the writing and the story again.

Okey, supongo que va a hacer la primera reseña en español. Pero empecemos.
Primero que nada quiero decir que AMÉ el libro, pero eso no significa que le tenga que dar cinco estrellas.
A decir verdad le di las cinco primero pero luego me di cuenta que la,historia tenía sus errores, como cualquier escritora amateur.
La portada, el tema central y los sucesos que ocurren son de lo mejor!!!
La narración: la sentí bastante bien y doy gracias a eso porque no me costó trabajo entenderle.
Como se desarrolla: este es le punto, creo que se saltaba muchas partes y sentí que lo escribía muy rápido.Por ejemplo en el principio, yo esperaba que hablara más sobre la escuela y fuera explicándonos pero se saltó al momento en que ya estaba en clases.
Algunas partes del principio se me hicieron forzadas y rápidas.
Los personajes: Creo que es la parte que me llama más la atención en un libro y creo que los personajes en este tienen que tener mucho más protagonismo que el mismo tema.
Y la verdad, es que la autora lo supe plantar bien. Cabe aclarar que ella no es una master y me parece que este fue su primer obra, así que aplausos para ella.
Solo quiero decir que lloré como un río al final, me encantó como lo manejaste y me encantó ver que no fue el mismo final que todos. Estoy triste, si, pero todavía no sé a acabado la serie....así que, a esperar lo mejor.

I'm so glad I managed to finish the 1st edition before she deleted it. Honestly, after reading it in 2016/2017 I haven't forgotten about it.
It's hands down my favorite book. The ending, wow. I'm 18 now so I must've been 11 when I read it. But it was a beautiful, well-crafted book

This book was a part of my childhood and I am apologizing for writing a late review, almost after seven long years approximately. I still remember some scenes of the book, the protagonist, the three or four male leads. It was written in such a way that we can still remember minute details after years. I wanted to read it again but sadly got to know that all popular books like this one on wattpad had transformed into paid books and I could nt read it so basically I just want to say thanks to the author for writing this masterpiece.

Hello I am a huge huge lover of this book that i discovered in 2017. Sadly I know the author hasn’t updated in years and it truly hurts because i love it so so much mostly because of how much it reminds me of days I wish i could go back to. I discovered that it was available in Radish and back around last year or 2022 i managed to finish the complete old version and even half of the 2nd book. If anyone knows where i can find this book please respond i would greatly appreciate it thank you so much

Den var riktigt bra men man måste få reda på vad som händer sen. Författaren har inte upptaterat på över ett år. Jag älskar dock Alex och Robin tillsammans även om jag inte riktigt gillar någon av dem för sig. Man märker inte att Emily och Alex är bästa vänner för de är typ aldrig med varandra.

I liked the character of Alex..she is bold..but she made a wrong decision by dating the other guy(I don't remember his name)..Overall it was really good book with a sad ending :c..and I am looking forward to read it's sequel.

I was really angry at Robin when he started ignoring Alex and the way he talked to her when her adopted father died(it was awful)..Then he returned from US with a new girl..
By the end of the book, the anger vanished as I got to know that Robin left her because he was dying because of a tumor in his head..I was feeling really bad at the ending..

I’ve probably reread this book for the eighth time now, and it still leaves me with the same bittersweet feeling—I’m so deeply attached to this world. The characters mean so much to me; they’ve left a lasting impression that lingers long after I turn the final page. And to make it even more frustrating, I can never seem to find the full version of it either, which only adds to the feeling that there’s always something just out of reach.

This is seriously one of the most well written books I have ever read on Wattpad. Sure, her being instantly liked isn't completely realistic, but that is one of the things I quickly got over. I loved this book and all of the characters in it. I want her to be with all of the boys tbh.
