A short history of the technique's use and development is followed by sections on the two main knitweave structures, approaches to sampling and designing surface patterns. A final chapter contains patterns for ten different garments involving features of techniques discussed earlier.
Given the title, I wish there were more discussion of technique and fewer patterns. The patterns inevitably become dated, so it would make more sense to devote more time to technique. Still a helpful book, but it's hard to imagine some of these designs outside of a hideous 80s boxy sweater context.
