Ten thousands years ago, the Furies nearly exterminated all life in the universe before being defeated by a coalition of worlds led by the Olympians.
Or so everyone thought...
Now they're back and a new reign of terror has begun.
With the help of Gaia, Chase trains to increase his powers tenfold in the hope to defeat the Furies once and for all. But will it be enough to stop an unstoppable enemy?
Aided by an abundance of Sci-Fi characters with supernatural powers, Bestselling Sci-Fi author Christian Kallias has a secret. He lives two lives. One in the real world and one inside his own creations, in worlds where he can lay down the foundation of his universes for both his and your enjoyment. Guess which one he prefers?
Christian Kallias is the bestselling author of the award-winning Universe in Flames Space Opera series.
I have been reading the Christian Kallias books in the series Universe In Flames, and I am well and truly addicted. I hope lots of people use Goodreads for the reviews, because I can't seem to get the Amazon system to accept my reviews (they are trying to fix that). Meanwhile, I am only posting here, and I have to say that these books are getting better and better as I go. The characters continue to evolve, and even the so-called bad guys are evolving, so that they aren't the one dimensional actors you find in some books. Also, the Universe the characters live in is expanding as we go (pun probably intended). The twists and turns in the story line are outstanding and you find yourself anticipating the next one. These Books are well worth your time and money.
Just finished reading the first 4 books in the series and loved them. Once I started reading the series I had to keep going plenty of action and a great science fiction story. A must have for anyone who loves a good fast story.
The Beginning of the End is the fourth book in the Universe in Flames series. This should not be read as a standalone. You really need to read the books in order so that you understand the storyline and what is going on. Plus it ends with a cliffhanger for the next book. There is a lot of violence.
I keep thinking this series has to slow down sometime and yet it never does. A books full of visceral action, heartbreaking emotion and some heartstopping moments and the best ending so far. Chase has released the furies and now their vengeance begins. Intense and brilliant. I could not wait to start book 5. The narration is first rate with great range and depth.
Wow the battles just get better and better typical godly powers by super human beings. If only you would think with all these powers they would use them for good but typical snotty aliens only war and destruction
Kindle Unlimited, tho first one might be permafree or whatever. Space opera plus, think that is the 'genre' if you have to have one. I liked it, it having a little bit of almost everything and even some humor although noticed one of the reviews {which only glance at and only after already reading the book} said might have been unintentional...but to my way of thinking maybe the reader just found it humorous. As far as things not being realistic or whatever, well it's space opera and we are not in space for real yet so who knows, besides perhaps the writers of doctor who or star trek or the like, I mean come on Olympian Gods and you are just at what point thinking some things aren't 'real' enough
Earth Last Sanctuary (Universe in Flames Book 1) Fury to the Stars (Universe in Flames Book 2) Destination Oblivion (Universe in Flames Book 3) The Beginning of the End (Universe in Flames Book 4) Rise of the Ultra Fury (Universe in Flames Book 5) Shadows of Olympus (Universe in Flames Book 6) Armageddon Unleashed (Universe in Flames Book 7)
My jaw has dropped, I am stunned! Utter devastation, both physical and emotional. The universe is on a knife's edge. The Furies are evil, pure and simple. I don't know where this series will go from here but I am going to follow it, that's for sure.
In the fourth book of this series, we see Chase and his friends once again doing battle. But there is now a new enemy combatants at play, the gurus are free. They are looking at wiping out all the other races, but can Sarah and their unborn son Chris be a help. Looking forward to reading the next book of this series. I fully recommend you give this series a read.
I have completely enjoyed these 4 books. The characters are completely mesmerizing and the story doesn't let you go. I look forward to the next book in this series. Great read!!! Thanks for the enjoyable experience.
Chris' art is progressing and the storyline becomes more dense and breathtaking. The Fury menace is delivering all its promises of awfulness now and I can't wait for the next volume.
I am enjoying the series. The author comes up with quite a few surprises. I enjoy his use of Greek mythological characters and touches on Norse mythology.
Another great installment of the Universe in Flames series. Each book introduces new characters that hook you even deeper into the storyline. And, unfortunately, some former characters are lost. The book is action packed and the characters continue to evolve and surprise.
