IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE… When Tom and Sheila Stanford buy Storage Locker #38, they think they’re getting a few dozen boxes of misprinted T-shirts. Not worth much money, but perfect for the orphan kids down in Mexico. The Stanfords have no idea that their newly-purchased storage unit is a clandestine staging area for a Mexican drug family. They know nothing about the 640 million dollars of drug money hidden under all those T-shirts. Now Tom and Sheila are running for their lives, fighting to stay ahead of the murderous Canton Cartel. The assassins on their trail are utterly ruthless. For them, kidnapping, torture, and murder are all part of the job. But this time, they’re not up against ordinary cops or civilians. Tom and Sheila Stanford are both retired from the United States Marine Corps. And there’s no such thing as an ex-Marine…
This was a stunningly good attempt at a first full novel. A husband and wife both ex marines. They are at an auction and bid and win a locker that was placed for auction by mistake. Initially they think it only contains misprinted t-shirts. Little did they know, besides the boxes of shirts, there are 64 boxes containing $10 million dollars each. These boxes belong to a drug cartel and, they want their money 💵 back. By any means NECESSARY! WELL DONE MR NULTY !!
The premise was original. How Tom and Shelia came into possession of the locker follows shows from television. The results of that however were extraordinary. I loved the location as a resident of Oceanside I could picture the scenery he was describing in my mind and follow along.
Bought this at the recommendation of a friend and fellow Marine, figured I would do into it now and again to read as I had time.
Purchased it about 8pm one evening. Started reading it, next thing I knew it was 2am and I was finishing the epilogue, wanting to read more of the story.
Well done, sir, well written, fast paced, and very engaging. Thank you.
This author knows his stuff: weapons, gear, and tactical maneuvers. It's an interesting story and is non-stop action. I loved the different characters. You have to love a marine!
I actually know Ted, and when he gave me a copy of this I wanted to read it twice as I finished it so quickly. Suspenseful, takes place in my hometown San Diego and is packed with action. Great read! He also has other books like Gone Feral which are worth a look.
The Locker was great fun to read and as someone who grew up in San Diego I enjoyed the way Ted put it all together. The characters and plot were believable and the narrative moves right along. BZ and can’t wait to read your next book.
This is a rough-and-tumble story, with quick-and-constant action, LOTS of shootings and bodies dropping left-and-right. There are too many ‘main’ characters to keep straight, and a feisty woman dominating the end of the book.
I really enjoyed the story and even more so that virtually all the action happened in my hometown! That made it even more special. This is a great first novel, Ted and wishing you all the best and much success in the future. Salty
Wow, this book takes you on a trip to the border leaving you with heart palpitations. Fast paced, violent and definitely leaving you picking the side of the 'good guys'.
