This book is a must read for all youth. You want your children to have a better future? Then teach them these principles now. To many of our youth take off after high school and end up loaded with debt, mostly because they just don't know what they don't know. Starting them off young with these principles will make a huge impact when they are in their 20's. I think this book would also be best if you learned and applied as a family, adults use the full Financial Fitness pack.

This was required reading for my son's class so I read it too. It was not a great personal finance book. The book could have been half as many pages. There was a ton of repetition without actually saying anything of substance. The author fixates on having the teens solely become entrepreneurs. There are other pathways. The author also discourages investing in traditional investments such as stocks and bonds. In today's investing world with Target Date Funds and Index funds it is possible for anyone with any background to quickly and to successfully invest for the long term. The author also quoted Robert Kiyosaki several times. RK is a quack. The vast majority of his "advice" is bumper sticker wisdom that doesn't really apply to the majority of Americans. I did appreciate the idea of over-saving as a teenager. And the emphasis to avoid debt. Overall there are much better sources for actually teaching teens about personal finance than just: get an education, own your own business and be like Benjamin Franklin

I wish I'd had this book as a teenager. I'd be better off for it. Thanks to authors Orrin Woodward and Chris Bradey!

I thought this would be a watered down version of the Financial Fitness book. Oh, how wrong I was. If anything this book takes the gloves off compared the the grownup-targetted Financial Fitness. Financial Fitness for Teens doesn't have to play nice for people who have made tons of financial mistakes in their life. This is a hard-hitting, plan for financial independence for anyone just starting life. The principles and techniques are timeless and would have helped me avoid (if I had lived them all) every financial problem I've had in my life. This will be something I recommend my children read every year.

A really important book in an area of day to day life that so many are woefully ignorant in = finances/economics.

As the common lingo says : "You don't know what you don't know." - that applies to so many areas, and is in no way a negative or indictment of someone's past upbringing, education/schooling, or otherwise. What it should be used to do is encourage lifelong learning and being a student at all times.

This book is clearly aimed at the younger 'set', however, as an adult, I learned new ways of thinking and mindset which I'd not known before.

I've grown up being taught these principles by my parents so this book wasn't a huge help, but I still learned stuff of course.

Every teen should learn about the content of this book, whether through mentors or reading this book. It would drastically improve society if even 10% of people knew learned these principles.

This book is amazing and is changing the way I teach my girls about money. My favorite lesson from the book is to always ask this question. Will this purchase tend to lead me toward my life purpose or away from it?
