Prados has produced a singular, accessible, human-scaled introduction to economics. The concepts she introduces are isolated so that each vignette gives a detailed view, for example of inflation or of job creation, as the lived experience of an individual from somewhere. All sorts of settings appear, and the reader can appreciate that economics happens everywhere, all the time, impacting everyone. They can also infer that people impact economics via their plans and choices.

As she has noted it looks like a book for young folks, but is also for grown folks.

I'm guessing that young folks may benefit from or need support in the form of conversations with a teacher or parent. Still, how many of us learned economic concepts by simply observing our environment? This book can help young folks begin to see and recognize economic realities around them.

(I am trying to wean myself away from star ratings, this is high scoring for the right audience and a bust for the wrong audience. Giving up stars is also pushing me to to write reviews... to say something that might be helpful instead.)
