Rereading Coming In Hot reminded me exactly what the title promises—a blazing, addictive bundle of firefighter romances that delivers heat, heart, danger, and emotion from start to finish. With thirteen stories packed into one limited‑time collection, there’s no shortage of sparks, chemistry, or high‑stakes moments to keep you turning the pages.

Each author brings something different to the table, but the common thread is clear: strong, compelling characters and the kind of tension that makes you fall right into their world. From secret obsessions to undercover rock stars, from search‑and‑rescue heartbreak to paranormal twists, every story has its own flavour while still fitting perfectly into the firefighter theme.

What I loved most—both the first time and on reread—is how easy it is to connect with the characters. Whether it’s a broody hero with a past, a heroine trying to outrun danger, or two people thrown together in the middle of chaos, the emotional pull is always there. There’s drama, humour, vulnerability, and plenty of passion—everything you want in a romance bundle this size.

Some stories lean into suspense, others into second chances or forbidden attraction, and a few bring in unique twists that keep things fresh. But every single one delivers that satisfying mix of heat and heart. It’s the kind of collection you can binge or savour story by story, and either way, you’re in for a treat.

If you love firefighter romances, steamy chemistry, and characters who fight just as hard for love as they do on the job, this bundle is absolutely worth diving into. Happy reading—you won’t be disappointed.

Light My Fire: A Firefighter Romance by Misha Carver
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a cute story. Despite it including some intimate partner violence, the book never felt heavy. More than anything, I felt like there was growth and hope surrounding it. Alex is doing what can be so difficult in a relationship like that: leaving it. There's hope for the future without Mike in it, for both her and her 8 year old daughter, Emily. There's also hope for Chance, who has had a thing for Alex since they were younger. Things are definitely headed in the right direction for them and things are looking up in both of their lives. I can't necessarily say it was a HEA ending as the story is far from over, but where their relationship is concerned, it's definitely HFN. Her actions after arriving home and going to work on their pictures however and the resulting danger had me thinking, "Seriously? Idiot." She puts the pictures into a wooden bowl and then douses them with lighter fluid. What did she expect to happen? She is a firefighter after all. All of this being said, this book does end in a cliffhanger. While things between Alex and Chance are going good, the story is not over. I, for one, am definitely curious to find out what happens next for Alex, Emily, and Chance.

Blinded by the Blaze (Books 1-3) by Piper Presley
I received all three parts of this book separately in exchange for my honest review.

Blinded by the Blaze: Book 1: I think this book was very aptly named as John seems to be blinded by Caroline's hotness. In this book Caroline is pretty much a self-serving b*tch. Despite one disastrous date, John invited her to come live with him when her house burns down. He is looking for more than just sex and she claims to be too (a complete lie). John is a sexy firefighter, but he doesn't make enough money for Caroline's taste. So she plans to use him or the sex until she gets bored. Needless to say, she currently has him fooled. Then there is Patty, who seems like a sweet girl. She makes a modest living as a grocery store cashier and seems like the kind of person that truly cares about others, similar to John, who is a sweet man himself. So, the big question ends up being, what happens next? Does John stay with Caroline? Does Caroline learn some humility? Or maybe John ends up with Penny? Heck, maybe they have a threesome? At this point, it seems that only time will tell. The book has a HFN ending and does end with a cliffhanger. This is not meant to be read as a standalone. I am excited to see what happens next in Blinded by the Blaze: Book 2.

Blinded by the Blaze: Book 2: An interesting continuation from Blinded by the Blaze: Book 1. I was very glad to see that John now realizes what kind of person Caroline is: manipulative and selfish. John is an incredibly nice guy. He cares about people. He says in book 1 that fighting fires is in his blood. It's clear that he driven to help others in need. Unfortunately, that also made it very easy for Caroline to toy with him without his knowledge. But now he knows. These are very fast paced books. While I enjoy books like that sometimes, it is making it difficult to keep up with a timeline. The only think I know is that it's been two weeks since Caroline moved in (as she is back at work), but events make it unclear how many weeks after that it really is at the end of book 2. Moving at such a fast pace in a book can also make it difficult to really develop characters or their relationships with each other. I think Piper Presley does a good job of giving her characters some depth, but I haven't felt much for emotions off of any of them. Patty mentions something about how John was so in love with Caroline, but I never felt like he was. While reading his dialogue I felt that he was enjoying his time with her, but she wasn't the perfect woman for him and that had been becoming clearer and clearer to him the more time he spent with her. She is attractive, but she is picky (so she claims), rude, and elitist to name a few. She treats the wait staff at restaurants horribly (which, yes, I think is a great indicator of character) and constantly makes jabs at John about his economical status being below hers. So now he knows the truth, but what is he going to do? The fact that he appears to be switching between Caroline and Penny so quickly and that she doesn't see any issues with this is quite disturbing to me. Regardless, the books have been enjoyable so far and I'm interested to see what happens next in book 3. I'm just worried about how Caroline is going to make him feel when he breaks up with him (i.e. like absolute crap). Note: This book has a HFN ending with a cliffhanger.

Book 3: This book concludes the trilogy. It does so rather abruptly, but it's still a conclusion. I am happy with where things were when the book ended. John and Patty are happy. Harold has realized his mistake. And Caroline hasn't made a peep in quite some time. While I did enjoy this series, it felt a little cut and bare with little substance. As I said in my review for book 2, I'm not able to feel much for emotions off the characters. It's a super quick read. While that in and of itself isn't a problem, it seems that in this case the short length included a lack of character development. I think there's a lot of potential for the story were Presley to have fleshed out the whole thing (including the characters and plot) a little more. As it is, it's on the cookie cutter side. Regardless, it was an easy, enjoyable read. Not the best I've ever read, but not the worst either. The trilogy has a very HEA ending with no cliffhanger.

Red Hot 1: Romantic Suspense Series (Red Hot Romantic Suspense)
NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED
As with all of Kate Fargo’s stories, this one will draw you in quickly and keep the pages turning with all the mystery, suspense, and action. The two main characters are extremely likable. Emily Patrick, former military, and now newly employed with the American Embassy is called out on an assignment to go to Las Flores, Mexico where an American citizen was injured and hospitalized. Finding Sandal Steeves, aka Dal, in the emergency room with flash burns and on morphine is not the problem, but when he starts talking loudly about the cartel, it becomes extremely dangerous. The plot keeps this story in constant suspense of danger, and life-and-death situations with Emily and Dal sent to a safe house. As in the true form of Ms. Fargo’s series books, we are left on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see where book two will take us on this adventure.

Hmmm what to say....
Bronx and Eme's story was a turbulant one. The chemistry between the two was obvious from the beginning. But nothing like a woman hiding, afraid and torn. The terror inwhich she survived to get to the U.S. was astounding.
I'm not sure I could make the connection that Bronx did that allowed him and his brother to do what they did. Don't want to say the wrong thing lol.
I def enjoyed this story. I love how close the brothers are and how determined they are to find the missing family member. Can't wait to read the other brothers stories.

Red Hot 1 by Kate Fargo

Emily's new job at the American embassy was suppose to be easy. Paperwork, the occasional escort across the Mexican border. Her first day on the job and she gets her first call. Firefighter Sandal Steeves was injured across the Mexican border and was in the hospital. She needed to go and escort him back. Things go south fast for Emily. This is a great story and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

There really is something amazingly hot about firefighters. Maybe it's the hero complex, the idea of a man in uniform rushing into dangerous situations to save people, and also the fact they aren't doing it for money but because it's what they want to do...
This is a fun, sexy read for people who just want to fantasize about these lifesavers. Each one is a quick read so you can take your time going through it and not feel like you have to rush.

Lisa Ladew does it again

I believe I've read all of her work and she does not disappoint. Many authors are predictable. She is not. With the exception of having you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, crying and breathing heavy. Don't take my word for it. Go, go get it! Go get them all. Now!

This series kept me turning pages for three days. At the end I found myself questioning how much more could these characters take. It was a good read but I'm glad it's over.
