SEALs of Coronado #2

Strong Silent SEAL

Rate this book
Wedding planner Felicia Bradford is in trouble. Mercenaries are holding her sister hostage and threatening to kill her unless Felicia helps them steal top secret information from the Navy’s Special Operations Headquarters. Having no other way to access the base, she pulls a gun on the first man in a Navy uniform she finds, demanding he get her through the gate.

Navy SEAL Logan Dunn just got back from a mission in Syria and is looking for a little down time to relax. That plan goes out the window when a beautiful woman shoves a gun in his back and begs him to do something she clearly doesn’t want to do. Logan does what any Navy SEAL would do in the same situation—he saves the girl and takes out the bad guys.

But their actions that day kick off a crazy chain of events, including a fast-burning whirlwind romance, an out-of-control sister, an insane covert plot involving a defecting Russian pilot, a mercenary bent on revenge, and a sunrise wedding for a bride who never wakes up before noon.

Getting through her sister's kidnapping will look like a piece of cake compared to what comes next.

Second book in SEALs of Coronado series ramps up the action with both missions in Syria and then on US home soil in California.

After a covert mission to rescue a defecting Russian pilot goes FUBAR the Team returns to the states for some down time while awaiting the next mission. Unknown to SEALs the fight for the defecting Russian pilot has been brought to the US.

Felicia Bradford and her sister are kidnapped and using her sister as leverage the killers tell Felicia she has to get into Navy’s Special Operations Headquarters and get information. Not knowing how else to do this at gunpoint she makes Navy SEAL Logan Dunn get her inside the base.

This kicks off multiple rescues and sets the spark aflame between Felicia and Logan. These stories are on the short side but still full of plenty of Navy SEAL action and and smexing romance.

Review:
This book is a part of the Coronado SEALs series. I really enjoyed everything about this book. It's a fun fast read with some mystery and lots of suspense.

Felisha has to save her sister after they were kidnapped in the parking lot of their yoga class. The kidnapper wants her to sneak onto the military base so she can collect information with a listening device. Once she is done she is to return and get her sister back. She only has a limited amount of time to do this. After a failed attempt to get on the base she is at a loss. So what does she do?? She takes a sexy navy seal hostage.

Logan has big plans for his 2 days off… Relax on his couch with junk food and the tv. Until he is confronted coming out of the grocery store by Felisha. She may be pulling a gun on him and making demands of him. He knows right from the beginning that he isn't going to be harmed by her but he also knows something major must be behind her doing this. He knows he will stop at nothing to help this sexy girl out.

This book has the way of drawing you in right from the beginning. It starts off with a bang and keeps you hooked all the way thru. I didn't read the first book of the series but now I need to. I loved all the aspects of this book, these two are a perfect match. I can't wait to dive into all the other characters books as well. This book was a perfect afternoon read.

This is the second book in the Seals of Coronado series. I have not read the first. This book is centered around the character Logan Dunn which I do not know if you meet in the first book. Maybe if I would have read book one I might be more in tune with what was going on. I don’t know.

This book was a go from the the start and I thought this one was going to be a keeper. Its not bad but the story is very short and rushed. There is a whole bunch of things going on that include a Russian pilot and bickering sisters whom one is being held hostage and the other who has been enlisted to save her by stealing top secret information.

Okay so the issue I have is this lead character Felicia is a wedding planner and to get into SO Headquarters she pulls a gun on the first uniform wearing man she encounters. Not for me. I do love me some fiction surrounded by military men but this was too far-fetched for me. I do have my limits.

Logan of course finds a way to save the day and agrees to help Felicia. From a gun sticking in his back the two characters find themselves smitten with each other and then the story begins to unfold. Chasen and Hayley are in this story which I assume are in book one. Moving forward events take a turn and Logan is called away leaving Felicia to question things while wondering if she and her sister are still in danger.

Short and to the point you could say. If you love a quick read and the mother of all fictions surrounding some Navy Seals saving the day then this is your book. Not a bad read but just too much for me. However I always tell you to click it up and give it a whirl. Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

"I don't want to do it. I have to do it. But I
don't want to do it." This is essentially the argument Felicia is having with herself. Unfortunately, if she wants to save her younger sister, Stefanie, she has to do it. That task involves her and the  Coronado Naval Amphibious Base. You know, because getting on a Navy base with SEALs isn't any problem at all. Well okay, Felicia is a wedding planner and has made numerous trips to the base for her job over the past few months, so...crap, yeah, she might be able to talk her way in. She's consoled herself with the fact that they aren't expecting her to hurt anyone, only to record a conversation. That's some good news at least, right?

Logan, a SEAL, doesn't know what to think when he's leaving the store and hears a woman's voice demanding he help her get on base and he definitely wasn't expecting to feel the gun at his back. Man, going to the grocery store is dangerous nowadays. LOL Thankfully, it doesn't take Logan long to figure out Felicia needs help and quickly comes up with a plan to save her and Stefanie with some assistance from a few teammates.

Even through the stress, terror, and endless hours of questioning Felicia and Stef endured, Logan stayed with Felicia the whole time, long after he was done giving his statement. Both Logan and Felicia can feel something sparking between them and her offer of a home cooked dinner in appreciation is eagerly accepted.

That date goes very well, and it's easy to see they have chemistry and a connection, so Logan invites her to a cookout at Chasen and Hayley's, see SEAL for Her Protection, book one in the series. Enjoying spending time together, Logan and Felicia have gone on several dates and are ready to take their relationship to the next level. *Psst...sexy times ensue. wink wink*

Unfortunately, Logan is called away on a mission the next day and it isn't until he's gone that Felicia realizes how quickly he's gotten to her. As for Logan, he's learning how nice it is to have someone worried about him, someone he cares about, but he's unsure if she'll be able to handle the reality of his job. But is time apart the only trouble they'll have?

Are Felicia and Stef out of danger? Are those responsible for taking them hostage connected to Logan's most recent missions? Why is Stef acting so different lately? Is she suffering from PTSD or is something else going on? Can Felicia adjust to being with someone that's gone so often? Has Logan finally met the woman who'll convince him that relationships can work? Will Logan and Felicia get their chance at happiness, at a future together?

One-click now to find out more regarding Logan and Felicia. Read along as they struggle with danger, family, work commitments, and falling in love. Please keep in mind this is book two of the series and while I feel you could easily follow along without feeling lost, as the author supplies enough information from the previous story so you get the gist of what happened, I do recommend reading book one as well as it's a great story and the introduction to this team with characters that will be featured throughout each subsequent story.

Felicia Bradford, a wedding planner, and her sister Stefanie, a university student, were at a yoga class when they are ambushed by men with European accents. They take Stefanie with them, and tell Felicia that she must get onto the Coronado base and deposit a box they give her. Felicia has no choice but to do what she’s told, or else her sister will be killed. What do these men possibly want from them? Felicia has been fitted with a wire, given a gun, she’s being listened to, and time is running out; she has to deposit a listening device on the base. So she grabs the first SEAL she sees: Logan Dunn. He was carrying his grocery bags to his SUV, but he obeys Felicia without a word. He quickly senses she’s not doing this on her own. But a SEAL’s job is to help people, so this is what Logan does. However, this is only the beginning…

This is one of the most difficult reviews I have ever had to write. How does Paige Tyler do it? STRONG SILENT SEAL is perfect in every way! It’s a fantastic suspense, action-packed, exciting from beginning to end; there is not one word wrong in the whole book! Ms. Tyler’s knowledge of the subject, SEALs, is mind-blowing, and everything feels so authentic, it’s like being right in the middle of the action. And as always, there is always something new to learn. There is absolutely no filler, no plot holes, and there is a lot happening in this short book. There are no superfluous descriptions and yet it’s all crystal clear: I could picture everything and everyone to the last little detail, and in the comfort of my living room, I was part of the action. The characters are very well rounded, their backstories are complete, and this in barely a few words. Everything was perfectly logical. Logan is totally adorable, as is Felicia; I loved them separately and together. I loved the camaraderie between the SEALs, the banter between Logan and Felicia, and the way their romance progressed was believable all the way.

Ms. Tyler’s writing is better than ever – if such a thing is even conceivable! – she makes it seem so easy and effortless! There are wonderful plot twists, and the one involving Stefanie is simply genius! STRONG SILENT SEAL is a perfect romantic suspense. It left me with smiling because it was … so perfect!

Upon finishing STRONG SILENT SEAL, I sighed contentedly; this is happiness! I encourage everyone who likes romantic suspense, intelligent plots, great storytelling, a realistic romance, and fabulous characters to read it.

A whirlwind from start to finish!

“But go slowly. I like to be teased.”

Considering how fast-paced this story was, that quote made me smile. A wedding planner and a Navy SEAL seem improbable as working partners, but they are a match from the first glint of the gun. I loved how these two met. Don’t get me wrong, any introduction which involves a gun is a bad, bad thing, but in the context of this story it was dramatic and absolutely perfect!

Felicia Bradford was holding things together despite the high pressure, tense situation she found herself in. Cool under pressure could have been coined from this scene. Logan Dunn is all things capable, strong and surprisingly warm. I would like both of them in my corner in any situation. Especially those involving weapons!

Kidnappings, mercenaries, international intrigue. There is a lot packed into this novella which, while light on character development, was full up on action and heat. Felicia and Logan sparked from the first moment, and everything that followed quickly built on that first hint of emotion. Speed of light could describe their courtship as no time was wasted before the condoms were pulled out. And that wasn’t a complaint. Far from it. Their sexy under the sheets time brought a balance to the level of testosterone that floated so delightfully heavy the rest of the time.

Throw in unexpected family strife and a few twists and this well-written read was chock-a-block full of romance and suspense. Mission: completed. Sexily, successfully. ~ Diane, 4 stars

STRONG SILENT SEAL: SEAL's of Conorado Book 2: fantastic..

Felicia Bradford and her sister are kidnapped, but the guys who are holding them against there will agree to let them ago if Felicia does something for them. They keep her sister while she does a task for them. If not her sister dies. Felicia will do whatever it takes to save her sister.
The last thing she expects to do is take the hunky Navy SEAL Logan Dunn against his will. She has to. She doesn't know it, but he catches on that she needs help. Felicia knows him for a short time, and things get pretty steamy between them.

Logan knows something isn't right the minute Felicia pulls a gun on him. He'll do whatever he can to help. He falls for her hard and fast. The only thing is can she accept what he does for a living?
Wait and see what the two find themselves up against.

Loved this book. Fast action.

Highly recommend. Release Date June 27th.

If you like fast paced, sexy adventure with hot heroes and smart women than you will love this book. Sit down, strap in and enjoy the ride. Strong Silent SEAL is the second in the SEALs of Coronado series but can be read standalone. This is fun romantic suspense. Fans of Suzanne Brockmann will get a kick out of this.

ARC REVIEW
I love Paige Tyler, and I love the SEALs of Coronado. The book ended and I was thinking "But...nooo, it can't be over yet!" it was good I didn't want it to end. I love Logan and Felicia. Felicia is a wedding planner and so organized she has her relationships on a timeline spending years getting to know a person before even thinking about marrying them, her sister on the other hand is a hopeless romantic. The other guys always teased Logan about being a commitment-phobic but Logan sees it it as waiting for the right girl. And so when a woman pulls a gun on him and asks for help he's hopelessly lost. They are both people who never thought it possible to fall so quickly but they are proven wrong by doing just that.
Felicia and her sister Stefanie are kidnapped and Felicia is told to find a way on to the base or else they will kill her sister. Felicia uses Logan to get on base and because Logan is smart he follows along and figures out what's happening and ends up saving the day. The unfortunate thing is that what happened is connected to the top secret mission in which the SEAL team has been working with the CIA black ops. It's all kinds of crazy. I love it!
Logan and Felicia have a quick, sweet, and smokin' hot romance. The book also has some great action.

I really enjoyed this story! Felicia and Logan are great characters and the story is very well written. It is a quick read. Felicia gets kidnapped with her sister and they want her to get onto the base with a listening device and then bring it back to have her sister released. She has a hard time getting on base and so holds Logan at gunpoint to have him help her to do so. Logan picks up that something is off and decides to help her out.
There's some action in this story but not a whole bunch. We also get sexual tension and some hot, explicit sex scenes with a budding relationship happening. I loved the way that these two characters built their relationship. They didn't rush things, though the feelings happened quickly. There were situations that made them realize their feelings faster than someone else might have but it all fit the characters and the story. I love Paige Tyler's writing and this was another great read. I'm liking getting to know this SEAL team and am excited for the next one.

I was pulled right into this short story. The story has pain, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
SEAL for Her Protection (SEALs of Coronado, #1)

This is Felicia and Logan’s story. Felicia will do anything to save her sister. She will even steal if she has to. When she takes a hostage she never expects to get the help she needs. Can she trust that Logan will really help her? Will Logan helping be enough? Or is she just kidding herself. Logan can tell Felicia does not want to do what she is doing. Can he really help her or should he turn her over? Bad guys need to go down either way but does he want her in the middle of it? Can these two trust each other to save the day or is it about to blow up in their faces?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Another great read from Paige Tyler !!! From page one until the end, I was completely captivated by this story.

Some gals have all the luck. Felicia Bradford is caught between a rock and a hard place when she sort of kidnapped Navy SEAL Logan Dunn and tries to force him into helping her. Logan catches on to her predicament and rescues her and her sister from the bad guys. These two had an immediate connection that unexpectedly turned into something more for both of them.

Let me tell you this story had a smokin' hot romance and it was loaded with action and twists. It was very entertaining and I'm already up for Paige Tyler to write the next book in the series. Well done and recommended to all.

This is one of my absolute favorites of this series.

When Felicia 'kidnaps' Logan his instincts are on the money. He could have prevented her from succeeding but he followed it through, he needed intel to help her out of whatever situation she found herself in.

Nothing like starting this book off with a kidnapping. After Logan and his team get her and her sister out of their very sticky situation and all the questioning is done, Felicia offers to make a thank you dinner for him.

Of course this isn't the end of everything, not with one of the bad guys missing.

Felicia and Logan hit it off hot and heavy but the threat is still out there and worries for her sister make this even more intense.

Fast paced, witty, romantic and suspenseful, you won't be able to put this book down.

Much like the first book in the series, STRONG SILENT SEAL was a quick read and I liked both Felicia and Logan. The circumstances surrounding how they meet is pretty crazy but they demonstrate how much Felicia loves her sister and the natural born protector Logan is. Neither one of them wants a relationship but they also can't stay away from each other.

There's a bit more of the SEAL team in action than we've seen before and I liked those parts. Mostly I just enjoyed Logan and Felicia and how they are together. Though I wanted to shake Felicia's sister at one point; after everything Felicia did for her, she pulled some pretty immature things.

This one sure opened with a bang. I don't know that I would be as calm as Felicia was in the same situation. I thought she did a good job of trying to do what she needed to do to save her sister and try to get someone to help her. Being that he was a SEAL, Logan was able to calmly keep his head and help Felicia. After the day was saved of course a romance bloomed. I liked how the relationship progressed, how Logan's job made both of them realized that they had something special. What I could have done without was the drama Felicia had with her sister.

Strong Silent SEAL by Paige Tyler

The second SEAL romance novella set in San Diego by Tyler. It's fast and full of action and suspense. And of course a romance between a SEAL and a strong heroine. A fun read.

Felicia Bradford, under threat of her sister's life, forces SEAL Logan Dunn to bring her to the restricted Army base. Logan can see this woman is under duress and steps up for the rescue and winds up a bit more involved than a simple mission.

The early version I read still needed editing for context errors.

This book focuses on Logan Dunn a hot alpha navy seal and Felicia a wedding planner who has to kidnap Logan to get on the navy base.

I loved this book, although it is a novella sized book there was plenty of great storytelling, compelling characters and hot men.

Filled with action and romance I would recommend this book.

This was an amazing read that I could not put down until the very last page was read. It moved along at a great pace for reading, not to fast nor to slow, the characters are amazing and the story will keep you interested and entertained from beginning to end. You will not be sorry that you read this and once you do, you will be wanting to read others written by this amazing author.

Love blooms without regard to a specific time frame!

How many times must a Seal rescue his girl before saying the "L" word? SEAL and danger seem to go hand in hand. Saving a wedding planner would most likely be the last choice of a Seal, however love doesn't discriminate-HAH! Lots of action with hot, easy passion befitting a Seal and his lady. Enjoy!

This book is fast paced and a fairly quick read.

These two definitely have a connection right away. Loan's a sexy SEAL and Felicia is a wedding planner. They find each other in the most unusual way ever. With obstacles around every corner they still managed to find love along the way.

Strong Silent SEAL by Paige Tyler.
This book is amazing, the characters are great and the story is original.
What's a woman to do when she and her younger sister get kidnapped? The only thing she can do to keep her sister safe is do what her kidnappers want. Get herself on a military base in a specific place by a certain time, sit and turn on a black box, wait for 30 minutes then leave bringing a box with her. Simple enough right, wrong. When she decides to hold a gun on a member of the military to get access to the base everything changes. Even though he doesn't know her name Navy SEAL Logan Dunn knows this woman's in trouble and needs help. I loved this book, this is a must read if you like strong, protective, military men.

Great Romance Suspense. I love Paige Tyler's stories! This is the second book in the Seals of Coronado Series. You can listen this story as a standalone, but I think it's better to listen to the first book before. This story is well written, fast-paced and entertaining. I love the two main characters, Felicia and Logan, and I liked to see the other characters of the first book. I really enjoyed my listening. The narration was great and easy to listen. I can't wait for the next book in this Series. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This was a good story, and the main characters Logan and Felicia were well written. This was an exciting and fast paced story but it lost a star for me because it was too similar to the previous Seal book with Chasen and Hayley. Girl gets kidnapped, rescued by Seal, falls in love story. I would have liked something completely different. But, that doesn't alter the fact this was still a page turning book.

I purchased the novella Strong Silent Seal (SEALs of Coronado Book 2) by Paige Tyler and this review was given freely.
Wedding planner Felicia becomes involved with Navy Seal Logan when she and her sister are taken hostage during a scheme involving Coronado Naval Amphibious Base and a Russian mercenary. Intrigue, drama and action packed this is a steamy short story with promise with editing.

At just 177 pages, this is a quick read. I enjoyed reading Logan and Felicia's story. I liked seeing Logan's "abduction" from both their points of view, Felicia's terrified and desperate actions and Logan's calm, inciteful demeanor. As in the first book, the couple falls in love in record time and in not quite believable circumstances. Nevertheless, the story and the characters are entertaining.

A nice quick read. These Seals are a true brotherhood. No matter the circumstances, they are there for their fellow team member. It's also refreshing to read a book where the guy isn't afraid to put himself out there.
