There is love that is heavenly and then there is heavenly love. What happens when a free-spirited and independent woman falls head over heels in love with an angel who doesn’t know the difference and doesn’t really know how to commit?
His name is Centurion, and he is part of the Guardian League, used to having women at his beck and call, sinfully sexy, skilled in the art of passion and totally unpredictable. April is hurting, she has fallen for Centurion and he seems to be playing her body like a finely tuned violin and her heart like a ping pong ball. Can an angel be that clueless? That arrogant? Or is he, too terrified at the new emotion he is feeling?
T.K. Lawyer’s Centurion has the steam and the romantic drama that will cast its own spell over its readers. Without a ton of darkness, T.K. Lawyer tells a tale of reluctant love as one angel finds his feelings for a human have crossed the boundaries he has set. Funny how he acted so human himself, at times, like a typical bad boy, hot and cold, with a very strong sex drive. April has an artisan’s talent for making jewelry, she likes to know she has control over her life, but Centurion has broken down her defenses, as well as her self-confidence, making her just a little (read that “a lot”)cranky and argumentative.
Follow along as two souls attempt to find something they may not have known is missing in their lives as T.K. Lawyer keeps things moving at a great pace without getting bogged down in the details. A quick read with a dash of spice!

Oh Centurion is my favourite kind of book boyfriend! Angel, bad boy and coffee addict.. Centurion is so much more than your usual Angel oh he has wings and can fly but he's strong, dedicated, passionate and sexy as all get out!
April a jewellery designer and free spirit, yes she believes in angels, but never did she think she would come face to face with let alone fall in love with an honest to God Angel!
Both find themselves frustrated with the how's and whys of an angel human relationship. April want to protect her heart and Centurion thinks love is only for humans.... well I'm not going to give spoilers.
A captivating story that was fast past and beautifully detailed, you could feel the emotions while reading. Awesome characters and real life obstacles that make for a fabulous read.
I would recommend this book to all my friends and fans of the paranormal genre.. Looking forward to reading more about the Guardian League, wonder who will be next!
Centurion is sure he would never wish to fall for a lowly human after watching others he knows do exactly that. He thinks they are too weak and he is meant for better. Going to an exhibition he comes face to face with a beauty that draws him in. He is so captivated and curious about this woman even though she is a human. April is equally taken with the angel even though he would never give her more than sex. She is determined to get more and wants to steal his heart. Will she succeed?
I love the two main characters for their individual quirks and personalities. Centurion is strong and dedicated to his calling and never thought he would be caught like the other angels. I thought this was rather amusing but I already knew he would feel some emotion for this free spirit. It may not only be a human feeling this love business. April wants him completely heart, body and soul but he refuses to let her in so deeply. It seems obvious Centurion has never experienced true love but.. Will he recognize it? I thought this was beautifully detailed and was packed with action. I loved their interactions but I was very frustrated with this silly angel at certain points. This book had all the feels and was a powerful read that dragged me along with it.

Who doesn't love an angel who adores coffee? Centurion is funny, on his own emotional journey as an angel to figure out love and humans. April is a great match, but she has her own emotional journey due to past bad relationships. Sometimes navigating friendship and relationship not only takes time, but an understanding of what is in the heart. There are some roadblocks in the navigation of angel-human relationships, but what makes this novel a great addition to the series is how the word, the feeling, and the understanding of commitment can and does mean to all of the characters In this story. The secondary characters are funny, well-written, and delightful. The pacing is strong and appropriate. As an angel, Centurion is a hoot, and that makes his interactions with all humans, but especially April so engaging and hilarious. I can't wait to see more of the Guardian angels in the series.

If you read the first book "Jasper" in this series you get some intro into this couple. Centurion is the second of command of "The Guardian League" who snuffs at the idea of Angels falling for humans. Centurion following his ward Ian into a Artist Convention spies April a jewelry designer at her booth. Her beauty transfixes him and he wonders why it's imperative to meet her since she human. April notices the attractive man and asks if he finds any jewelry he likes for his special women? Centurion invites April for coffee and she agrees to meet him at noon. What occurs between them as they discover that they want two different things in their relationship- Centurion wants a good time and April is looking for a forever romance. Will they overcome their differences? This is a engaging story with likable characters that I enjoyed reading and I volunteer to review via Booksprout.
I loved this book! It started from Centurion's point of view and sucked me in completely. There was just this aura to him that I really liked. I was also amused that he was determined not to have any kind of romantic involvement with a human as some of his colleagues had done, because even without the book synapsis, we know it's going to happen. Like that immediate click in your head of- 'challenge accepted.' And it didn't take long for that awestruck moment to strike!
These two go back and forth a lot. April wants commitment, but pushes him away when he's not stepping up. Centurion is confused, but doesn't understand what being in love feels like. Sometimes I wanted to knock their heads together lol
This is Centurion and April’s story. It’s chock full of action, fated mates, steamy scenes and more. It’s well written and has wonderful characters and world building. Centurion is second in command of the army and his distaste and hate towards humans shows. He’s not happy about his fellow warriors falling for the weak and pathetic humans and vows to never fall for one of them. It’s laughable that he finds his mate and guess what? She’s human. When they first meets he can’t keep his eyes off her and eventually works up the nerve to ask her out. Thing is Centurion doesn’t want anything serious especially with a human and April wants it all.

Centurion is an Angel in the Guardian League who has his mind firmly made up that he wants nothing to do with humans. They are too weak. April is a jewelry artist, so an artist's exhibition brings him together with her and she presses all his buttons. He is hit with lots of feelings and doesn’t quite know how to process them. But she is human, so he needs to remain cautions.
As for April, she is hoping for commitment from Centurion. She wants more than just the pleasure of his touch. She wants him to love her. But he doesn’t know what love is and he is confused. Will they figure this out? Is there a future for them or just a brief time together?
This is book 2 in The Guardian League series I loved this story and I can’t wait to read the next couple of books in this series. This is the story of Centurion who’s watching his friends mate up with humans he wants no part of mating up with a lowly human not when he can have any female he wants he’s arrogant, gorgeous and he knows it. When he meets April he’s determined to only have fun with her but April wants more than his body she wants his heart. Fantastic story I loved it I really wanted to give Centurion a smack around the head and say wake the hell up lol and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
This is book 2 and it is heating up with the fires of Hell! Not only is this series one of the BEST in this GENRE! This book is a remarkable story told by an author that knows what a reader wants and delivers with a flair that will bring you to your knees! You get these angels fighting good while battling demons of their own trying to be atoned for sins, that... well lets just say they bring the HEAT! Stealing is the least of Centurions problems. April knows what she wants and is willing to work for it. Great story! Great series! I love this series!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Centurion by TK Lawyer, the second book in The Guardian League series. This read was just the right amount of humor, snarky banter and sexy characters. I loved watching Centurion catch a clue, it made him oddly endearing and exasperating at the same time. This is a different take on angel and human relationships. April and Centurion had that character chemistry that is hard to resist. This is a Mature Readers Only read and can be read as stand alone.

The second book in the series brings Centurion and April's story. They connect instantly and have a strong chemistry but she wants a commitment. Hes an angel and doesn't understand what being in love feels like and is confused with his feelings. It's a fun, feisty and emotional story with them going back and forth with their relationship. The author brings the heat and delivers a terrific story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Centurion is miffed how all his angel colleagues can be so entranced by a human. He is second in command and and has no plans to fall into the same trap. Fate has other things in store for him because as he us following his charge Ian, he sees April. April makes him feel off and an emotion he never thought he would have especially for a female. This is a wonderful story that will pull you in. Great addition to the series.

Great book 2 with this series. Although Centurion is attracted to April from the beginning, he is determined not fall for a human woman. April, a jewelry artist, a bit of a free spirit, beautiful, independent, but she isn't looking for a fling even though she is drawn to this handsome man. Even though they have chemistry and act on that, she wants a commitment and he treats things very casually. How these two finally come together is a solid, well paced read from start to finish.

Centurion and April meet at an artist convention as she works with jewelry, and he is transfixed on her. He only does short times and she wants the long haul of a relationship. The characters were terrific, with great backstories and banter. The storyline has drama, fun times, surprises, twists and of course romance. He sure loved to play games, like with Steve or Nettie, for just two. Loved how they bantered back and forth. Great ending.

Centurion is a guardian angel who believes humans are weak and can not be part of a lasting relationship. One of his charges takes him to a artist convention where he sees April a jewelry designer. Thinking it might be fun for a quick hookup he asks her for coffee. April has had bad experiences and is cautious yet Centurions incorrigible arrogant attitude intrigues her. The humorous interactions of these two as they traverse a interbreed relationship and its dangers and emotions is addictive

Centurion fall for April whilst watching over his charge. He is instantly drawn to her. She is a free spirit, a jewellery maker and a believe in angels. She has an attraction to Centurion. But wire get crossed when love gets involved it a great read and enjoyable.

April and Centurion have an instant connection and chemistry. They have an interesting dynamic. The characters have witty banter and snarky along with sass. This is an easy read that kept me hooked. I enjoyed the standalone addition to this series.
Centurion is a page turner. It is interesting, funny, and lovely. It makes you look for your own Angel to love. It is a beautiful story that got slightly dragged, but albeit wonderful. T.K Lawyer is a beautiful writer and I am hooked.
Enjoyable angel-human romance with one gruff angel who discovers love and his mate but not on a smooth path. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved reading Centurion... it is book 2 of The Guardian League... Such a sweet love story between a Guardian Angel and his beautiful human named April.. Centurion is a Hot and Sexy Guardian Angel who watches over his Charge (he is an artist).. while at an Art Convention (watching over his charge) he sees the most beautiful human lady who has caught his heart on first sight.... well Centurion makes it his priority to meet this beautiful lady that has stolen his heart at first glance... this beautiful lady is named April and she is a talented Jewelry maker. Centurion must meet her.. Will April let Centurion into her life? Does Centurion tell April what he is? for the answers to these question please read Centurion.. it is super sweet I did and loved it..
Centurion by T. K. Lawyer is a very original take on angels. It is the second book in The Guardian League series. I found at least in the copy I reviewed this was such a choppy read and this book could have befitted from pronouns. The connection between the characters is semi okay. But the way this one reads it just threw me. Every sentence practically had Centurion’s name in it. I like his name too, but it got to be a bit much. Centurion guards over angels. Keeps them in line. He was always a born leader. He leads the Guardian League. He loves being an angel. Loves his charge and humanity in general. He had been when he was mortal bullied, attacked, and teased on Earth. He really pulls for the under dogs now. April she is an artist going to a convention for other artists. She doesn't like men who are players. Down to Earth kinda girl with a strong will. These two really do seem to blend well I just did not feel their chemistry at all. I loved the idea of this story. Some very original takes on angels that are fun to read. Four twinkling Stars

The main characters in this book where the angel Centurion and April. These characters did not grow on me in fact I really dislike these character a lot. While Centurion was a pain in the butt April was annoying with her needy ways.
I really don't want to rehash the story here in my review but the thing that made me dislike like them probably made the book. I'm not too sure that I would read a second book with these characters because of my aggravation level but other people may fine this book really interesting.
For those readers of a religious bent this might book might seem sacrilegious to you so be worn you probably won't enjoy it. It is not a story about religion it talks about guardian angels.
