Jack:

Kaycee Skye is trouble. So why is she making me crave everything I thought I never wanted?

I don't do commitment. I'm all about the hard action. The thrill of the hunt. And it doesn't matter if the hunt takes place in a hostile foreign desert or at my local bar because I always hit my targets.

So how the hell did this innocent little blonde with her perfect curves and her shy smile get under my skin so easily? One taste was enough to change everything. Now I'll do whatever it takes to free her from the gilded cage she's living in and make her mine.

Kaycee:

Nothing could have prepared me for Jack Smythson. A chance meeting that was never supposed to happen and a heat blooming inside me like nothing I've ever felt before...

I'm not the only one who's noticed the effect Jack has on me, either. I’m supposed to be the perfect pop star, family friendly and clean. But the forces that have controlled me since I was a child are willing to resort to anything to keep him away from me, even if it means destroying us both.

It was never supposed to go this far. I never should have allowed myself to fall so hard. But now there's new life stirring inside me and nobody knows, not even Jack...

I freaking loved this book!!
It kept me up most of the noght because I just couldn't stop and said to myself more than once "Just this page and I'll go to sleep" Yeah right!
My thoughts exactly
I love military romances and thos one had a bonus twist to it.
Jack is a don't-take-shit-from-nobody Navy SEAL. He knows what is expected from him and he'll give his whole heart, body and soul into protecting his country. He knows what he's up against but some things in life can't be foreseen.
Kaycee is a worldwide famous pop star. She was in show business from very young age and up until a trip to one of the US Army military bases she did everything what was asked from her. Sheltered her entire life, she doesn't know anything about men-all she was supposed to do and learn was stage theatrics. Her management did everything to make sure she's on top and stays there. Enters Jack. Sparks fly from the very begining and even though Kaycee has to learn a thing or two about life Jack is there to guide her throught it all.
I loved them as a couple.
Hated those around (won't give names but whoever reads this will I'm sure have the same feelings).
A very enjoyable read and made me think abouth the lengths some people will go to get their hands on money.

I received this book in an exchange for an honest review. Main characters are Kaycee and Jack. I really felt the chemistry between these two. This was a pretty different read for me but I did enjoy most of it except the overbearing family. I seriously couldn't stand Kaycee's family though I don't believe they ever loved her. She was just used for money. I'm happy with how things turned out in the end.

Review:
Tow people from different backgrounds meet and soon realize that their attraction for one another is stronger than they first thought it could be. Jack is a Navy SEAL who couldn't forget the innocence that was Kaycee, the pop star manipulated by her mother and her manager to do everything they ask and tell her to do. As the two begin to get to know one another more and talk about their lives, they realize that what they once thought as a good life turns out to be a stifling one and nothing like they had seen it in the first place. At her age, Kaycee never realized the devastating manipulation she's been put through for as long as her pop star career has been flourishing, and when she tries to put an end to it and steps out of the carefully created innocent look, she realizes just how far they'd go to ruin her relationship.
Emotions run high during the length of the novel, and these authors don't hold back to take readers through the wringer when it comes to Kaycee. She may be young, but there's nothing childlike about the way she feels about Jack and when he is with her, he can't help but want the best for her. Considering that there are two authors, Alana Hart and Jessica Lake, writing Warrior, I was impressed by the fact that the writing was fluid and I couldn't quite figure out when one ended and the other began - which for me, is an amazing talent to have since it proves the capacity of two authors to adapt their styles to connect to one another. The chemistry and attraction between the two (Jack and Kaycee) was very well written, even creating that much needed connection between the reader and the character, ut the thing that impressed me the most was the storyline: as many novels I can read about military men and pop stars, it's the first time that I've read one where there is so much 'innocence' in the sense that the characters don't see what is being done to them until they get together. When they are together they complete each other and are better as a whole. It's beautifully written and this dua has thoroughly fascinated me from the very beginning and I can only hope that they'll consider more collaborations in the future.

I received for a honest review. These two authors did a wonderful job.

I actually felt sorry for Kaycee Skye. Kaycee had her childhood robbed from her at a early age. While reading this book I have to wonder how much Kaycee’s parents really loved her. It seemed like they had one focus and that was the money.

Kaycee found herself overseas performing for some Navy Seals. There was something that was starting to wake up in Kaycee. Here she was 19 years old and had not life. Of course he had money and could buy what ever she wanted but she was told when and what she could eat, how to dress, and who she could spend time with. She was a puppet and there mother was the puppet master.

Kaycee decided to go out and explore the Navy base against her mother’s wishes. This is where Jack Smythson comes into the story. She was smitten at first site. She done what ever she could to spend time with him and Jack found himself doing the same.

Jack and Kaycee will find obstacles along the way. Kaycee’s mother is doing everything in her power to make sure her daughter does not ruin the chance to make money for them. As you are reading the story you will be surprised at the great lengths Kaycee’s mother will go to ensure she gets her way. Her mother is pretty scary.

Kaycee will find herself at a crossroad. She will have some important decisions to make. She will need to find the courage to stand up to those that are controlling her life. Will Jack stand beside her? Oh and if you are wondering if things get hot and heavy between Jack and Kaycee let me assure the the authors do not disappoint. FYI, there are a few surprises along the way.

Very different from most navy seal stories. I liked how their was more then meets the eye with Kaycee and Jacks character. One a famous pop start and the other a Navy seal.

When Kaycee was first introducted to us i really through she was a spoil brat and couldn't stand her character or why she would act a certain way. But as i read the book more i could understand why she was the way she was. Kaycee character was like a robot who could think all she wanted but wasn't allowed to do any think. ~I felt really sorry for her and the Emotional abuse/ Neglect from her family, Manger and team must have done some serious damage.

Jack lives his life one day at a time. Always looking for the next time advanture and time away from the sandbox (known as the desert). Jack follows orders but he is also the leader of his team. Never one to open himself emotional jack keeps his distance.

Kaycee and Jack must fight against every one who threatens to tare them apart including family, media, managers and themselves. Kaycee must find her inner strenght and stand up to her parents without feeling guilty or given in. As a young adult who was grommed into being their machine She must break free but she must pay the Consequences if she does. Jack must take a back seat as this is a fight for which Kaydee must do.

Obstacles stand in their way, Weather it is fake boyfriend, parents, police or a threat agaisnt Kaydee. They both must fight if they choose to stay.

Recieved this in exchanged for an honest review.

I must say that Alana Hart and Jessica Lake make a great writing pair. Each of them have a unique way of looking at their characters yet together they make them completely believable. Warrior will have you angry, happy, sad, mad as hell, delighted, shocked, surprised, over joyed and feeling that true love can win out. From the first page to the last the range of emotions will astound you.
The hot alpha Navy Seal, Jack and the gorgeous, if naive, sexy Pop Singer Kaycee Skye are a couple that at first seem so different there's no way they could possibly become more than ships passing in the night. Their characters are so much more than they appear to be. They grow and become the very thing we all aspire to be...More.
The only thing that kept me from giving the book five stars was Kaycee's age. I realize that in order for the storyline with the over barring, money hungry, pushy, self entitled b:Tc# of a mother to have such control over Kaycee she would have to be young but nineteen is still a bit young for my comfort with everything her character goes through. Even knowing that this is a reality for a lot of our real-life pop stars and celebrities I'd have felt more comfortable if she'd even been twenty.
I must say Alana and Jessica never disappoint their readers. I look forward to reading more from them together and separately in the future. I received an ARC for my honest review.

This is not what I was expecting when I received this book. The heroine is the superstar, Kaycee. Child star, grew up in the business and extremely sheltered. She loves supporting good charities etc and when she goes to give a concert for the troops in the middle east, she runs into Jack, or better still, Jack finds her, dehydrated and out of sorts after her concert. Jack is a Navy seal, has been for years and has the looks and body to match. Jack convinces her to go on an adventure that turns into a dangerous situation and Kaycee ends up spending the night in the desert with Jack. Kaycee's over protective Mom does not like Jack. Kaycee is an innocent at 19 and Jack is 27. She knows that nothing good can come of it. To say she is overbearing is not even close to what this Mom is. Can they overcome the obstacle to get their HEA? I would give this a 4.5 as Kaycee seemed unbelievably naïve & there were some grammar/typo issues that bothered me. I enjoyed the story immensely and hope you do well.

“She wasn’t just a fun fling or a sexy diversion. Somehow, over the course of a few fraught hours in a foreign land and the past day, she had become that undeniable thing: essential.”

An enjoyable read.

Kaycee is a nineteen-year-old popstar, completely governed by her parents and her manager – what to wear, what to eat, how to behave, and so on.

Jack is a seasoned US Navy Seal, highly skilled, and in complete command of himself.

They meet out in a foreign desert base when Kaycee goes there to entertain the troops. Their connection is instant, and becomes solid when they share a scary experience together.

What follows is Kaycee and Jack's fight to be together, despite their very different backgrounds and commitments, and other forces trying to keep them apart. The warrior in this title is not just Jack but also Kaycee herself. Her latent strength and sense of self comes to the fore with Jack’s love, support and encouragement.

Kaycee and Jack don't seem like a likely couple. She is a 19 year old pop star and he is an older Navy SEAL. Kaycee is very much controlled by her mama and she has no friends and no romantic experiences except for those arranged for publicity. They meet when she does a performance at a base overseas.

At first, I was not thinking that much of the story. I had read quite a few stories about young pop stars and Kaycee is very innocent and incredibly naive. I just saw it going in a very predictable way. As the story went on (it is narrated by both), I began to really like these characters together. She helped Jack grow up too in terms of relationships. He was just into having sex with random hookups and not into relationships. They bring out the best in each other. The characters are really what I liked best about the story and Jack is a really good guy that encourages Kaycee to save herself rather than be her hero.

I received a copy in return for a honest reveiw.

I received this book as arc . Kaycee Skye has one of those lives where you think she has everything you could want the one thing she doesn't have is someone in her corner. Jack is a navy seal and the moment that he see a damsel in distress he will help with everything can ,but he found out there was more to this damsel the moment they meet eyes . jack and Kaycee go through a lot with the over drama mom puts her through just for Kaycee star quality jack is the good guy that see her for more than a star .I would read this book again .

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The story was told very nicely. I flowed very seamlessly. Was a little skeptical on the military / civilian romance, sometimes they get a little over the top, but this story just kept Jack and Kaycee right in their perspective spots. She didn't force herself into his world and he didn't force himself into hers. They blended well, while dealing with how to make their relationship work.

Great story line, likeable hero, but the heroine may be a bit too spineless for my taste. I enjoyed reading the story and the writing is good, but weak heroine and evil mother is just too hard for me to take. That's how good the writing is, it'll give you strong feelings over the characters!

Good story, The way they meet is almost believable which is a nice addition. Pop star meets Navy Seal at a military concert. Although the romance was hot, I felt this was more about the growing pains of a sheltered girl finding her way to adulthood. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Kaycee is a pop star who should have it all, but when she's performing for the troops she meets someone that changes everything. Jake is a SEAL who is happy with his team until he meets Kaycee who he wants nothing more than to protect and be with. These two go through a lot to end up together, but will fight to be with each other. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
