Sinful Lust is the debut novel from Imani Hilton. Sinful Lust tells a story of a young woman Simone who is in a relationship that once was good but now as of late it is not and Simone has reached her boiling point. She is the total package of beauty and brains, yet her current man Raheem has picked away at her self-esteem.
Well, that is until she meets Omari, he is a young guy with street mentality but also smart. He exposes Simone to lust and shows her the part of herself she thought she had lost.
When he meets Simone he soon sees that his life, as well as hers, begins to change. Even though Simone has a man that doesn’t stop Raheem from pursuing her or Simone stopping him.
Sinful Lust was an interesting read and the supporting characters like Simone’s father added an element that was needed but as he stayed dropping jewels, he should have been paying more attention to home.
What will Sinful Lust cause these characters to lose? Will they see the error of their lust or will lust overtake them? Will lives be lost? I am rating this debut four stars. Hilton penned a tale of lust and how lust can often cloud the brain as you lose yourself in the temporary feeling that it gives. Great debut and l look forward to more from this author.
