After running away from her ex-boyfriend, Asia Butler was finally making a better life for herself and she was doing it on her own. When a mysterious package and even more mysterious stranger come along, it throws a wrench in her plans to live her own life. The love and protection he offers is tempting, especially since they have a history she can’t remember that can’t possibly exist in the real world. Drew Williams can offer her the life she wants and he feels she deserves, not to mention a love she craves, but there’s one detail she can’t seem to get past – he’s a vampire! Her situation is confusing until her past catches up with her and becomes complicated.
'Fast' Eddie Downs, her first and seemingly true love and dominating force from her past, convinces her that he’s a changed man who needs her back in his life to stay clean. She returns to L.A. with him only to learn she’d been played a fool and ends up back in her dangerous life. Summoning the courage to walk away again, she finally learns she doesn’t need to be alone, but the lesson comes with a heavy price. When Eddie finds her again and threatens her life, she has to choose between the monster she knows, and the mysterious new monster that’s known her all along. The impossible decision becomes unbearable when Eddie and Drew level the playing field, and she’s left questioning who will be left in her life.
If you like bwwm interracial romance, you'd enjoy reading this paranormal vampire thriller!
I really had high hopes for this book but sadly the lead female character was completely idiotic. I just can't get over the fact that she kept taking up for a guy who tried to kill her, he'd pimped her out, drugged her and took her from a good job and a fairly good apartment. I really believed by time I was done with the book Drew was going to be on some sort of drugs or a drunk dealing with her.

I love vampire stories and I was really excited to find this book - NOT. Oh my gosh the lead female in this story Asia/Hannah, drives you insane. I literally wanted to shake the silliness out of her.
It's good to forgive but she took forgiveness to a whole new level.
