How Philosophers Pick Up: The Gentleman's Guide to the Game

Rate this book
Gentlemen! Learn the art of the game and how to build confidence from a philosophical perspective that anyone can follow. Discover how to train your mind to develop an irresistible magnetic integrity that women absolutely love. Once you've trained your mind to be as sharp as a diamond, you'll exude confidence everywhere you go. Written with integrity and grace, the author appeals to the decent and dignified man to return respect and reverence to the game.
William Casey starts by taking you through an entertaining and philosophical tour-de-force to learn from some of histories greatest intellects before prostrating you in front of the gorgeous women you seek. He gives you the tools to stay calm and in control when you're out there playing the game. He also takes you through some possible interactions with women and some commentary on the digital game and the importance of travel. There is plenty of wisdom condensed into this book. Keep in mind; this isn't your standard "pick up" guide. There are no "openers" or "scenarios," just a hearty helping of hard-won principles of knowledge and understanding from one gentleman to another. The author genuinely wishes to transform you into the absolute best artist and gentleman you can be, and he believes by equipping you with the appropriate self-knowledge and mind-training you will achieve that end. It is only through a proper understanding of one's self that a man may become a legend. Once you have acquired this, then nothing can stand in your way. May all attain!

tl;dr - this book was written by a fedora.

As a woman (or "girl", or "target" or "lady", as the author prefers to call our gender), I know that this book's intended audience was not me. But I'm so glad that I read it. Casey is definitely a philosopher. He doesn't edit, misspells basic words, and offers redundant sentences like "self-hypnotizing yourself" and fragments as if they were complete sentences like "Ever.", “Actually.", and "I say with no reservation." And, like a true philosopher, Casey cites exactly zero percent of his sources.

As an "object of the philosophers' desire", I was very pleased to finally be informed that philosophy is for men only, and the point of philosophy is for men to make themselves irresistible through "magnetic integrity" - integrity Casey himself exudes when he advises that men compliment women on their shoes, because "we all know how obsessed they are with them" and "no shame - ever" and "How awkwardly terrible would it be to be cock-blocked by her father? No thanks!". I was also interested to learn that if I didn't have multiple orgasms while reading this book it must be because I have "psychological issues" that make me not worthy a man's time. How about that! I'm not worthy of William Casey, of this I am sure.

Now that I know that philosophy is for men for the purposes of tricking women into sleeping with them, I have officially resigned from my PhD program. Thank you, William, for saving me from my silly pursuit of knowledge. Now I'm free to focus my energy on finding a man of wit and wisdom, one who takes himself and his intellect very seriously, and who, if I am worthy, will give me the honor of fulfilling my life and my vagina.

Yes spoiler alert William Casey (this is not the CIA spy chief from whom the author identity was stolen, next time he can try Stephen King) is apparently an illiterate imbecile. The author's really name is Casey Mitchell from Melville, Saskatchewan, the hotbed of both philosophy and women wanting future stalkers. If you want more of the ignoramus blather from the insane overview, then you should get a mental health evaluation, something William Casey needs. This is the incoherent rambling of a misogynistic toxic narcissist. This reads like an instruction manual for stalkers and serial killers. It is shorter than the instruction manual that came with your tea kettle and goods thing as it lacks class, grammar and any level of intelligence. Not a gentleman's guide to anything, rather an imbeciles guide to ending up on the sexual offenders list. Mein Kampf is a better choice because at least you know the author shot himself in the head. I can't wait for his next book....ha. no I am kidding, I meant I would rather get syphilis which I am sure the author has with idiotic ramblings like this.
