In an universe far away, there is a child with innate disability to practice internal techniques. So, in order to gain the respect of his father, he resolutely chooses to follow the more difficult and painful path of practicing external techniques. As the years go by, he grows up, but what really changes his life is a mysterious meteoric crystal stone — the Meteoric Tear. This stone fuses with the young man’s body unnoticed, and he seems to undergo drastic transformations as a result. After that, everything is changed. Eventually his father knows that the son for whom he hasn’t really shown a lot of consideration possesses astonishing abilities. And there’s a lot more to come.
I am kind of regretting picking up this huge xianxia novel.
Whoever said that this author is one of the best wuxia xianxia writer doesn't really have any taste.
I have read better harem novels than this.
It's book 5 now. I think, it's about time that the reader would be able to connect with the MC, Qin Yu, and even cheer for him, no?
However, there is basically no distinguishable characteristics between Qin Yu and mindless cannon fodder villains. He is ALWAYS protected by the plot armor, though. And by sucking up to the protagonist too much this way, the author has basically made a mess of the already somewhat fragile world-building.
I have always liked the animal companions of an MC in cultivation novels. Whenever something happen to these characters, makes me cry. For example, Lin Xi's Lucky from Immortal Devil Transformation.
But here, Xiao Hei and Hou Fei seem like annoying pests. If they die in the near future somehow (which I know they won't cause that'd be too easy), I would give 5 ⭐ just for this. Xiao Hei was one thing but Hou Fei is literally an example of cannon fodder mindless violent filler villain.
We finally have the first appearance of the ACTUAL love interest of Qin Yu, Li'er. Her "maternal" healing side is what made him take notice of her which kinda gross cause he kind of compared her to his absent mother. Yeah, mommy issues? Coming right up!
But at least, she entered the stage. Otherwise, halfway through this part, I was thinking that Xiao Hei is the real love interest of Qin Yu because of the way both were sucking up to each other. At this point, I am convinced that the author either is a bro-con or he doesn't really have any siblings to insert this much "brotherhood" as if any other type of relationship doesn't exists.
The fights scenes are also mostly irrelevant and eye-blurring type. And even of you skip a few paragraphs, you wouldn't really miss anything either.
I don't know how I am going to finish this novel by next year. Either I am going to finish it or it is going finish ME! God, please give me sufficient strength to move forward🛐🛐🛐
Qin Yu and company has started there grand adventure. First stop, the great below. After arriving he runs into some major trouble. It is a very trilling adventure and I can't wait to find out where it goes next.
Starting from Xiao Hei tremendous change and power to Fei Fei ruthless prowess and finally to Qin Yu frightening power. Combining them together makes this book is AWESSSSSSSSSSSOME.
